Nice presentation of the show's visual splendor. They just did an amazing job with the sets. The last episode was better, and made me hopeful for the next season. This cinematic Middle Earth is just too beautiful to waste. 😉
Thank you, I've been waiting for a video like this, with all of the beautiful establishing shots in one place. I'm trying to figure out which areas in New Zealand served as the backdrop to these locations, so this is a helpful place to start.
If only the original trilogy and The Hobbit had this level of CGI... It’s a shame that so much money and effort went into the world and music, but so little into everything else. As someone once said, this could have easily been one of the best series of the past two decades. The Hobbit and this series could have been so much bigger than they are if they hadn’t been bungled by “contemporary standards.”
I keep saying it. Many modern mainstream writers and diversity hires are absolute dog shit, but environmental artists, character designers, concept artists, 3D modellers and pretty much every professional visual department has evolved into something that is even further beyong.
agree. what came to mind when i heard this score is an outer space war. or an introduction of a colony in some far galaxy. i can't feel the magic of middle earth. just my opinion.
