Loving the influx of middle earth SBG videos. I really hope it manages to keep this momentum going and remain a popular game. It's been pretty difficult to find people to play it with over the years so this new release is like a breath of fresh air.
I feel for Owen, the 50/50 roll-off going in favour of Ash every time basically stopped Theoden and the riders being major factor. Great vid and batrep guys!
Hey thx for the video but..., do you know that uruk-hai berserker is defense 5 (6 against range attacks) and can save wounds on 6s? The isengard troll now has been improved, fight 7 and strength 7 too not 6. Did you look the Isengard army? 😅
Great to see Middle earth battles. Loved the batrep, but incredible poor dice rolling from Owen. He need to practice. But did You forget Oblivious to pain for the bereserkers. They have kind of a fate roll.
hi i have some questions if u can help. i have 24 warriors of rohan on foot and 6 cavalry from the deagostini magazine,same with minas tirith 24 warriors plus 6 cav, and some heroes form each side,also the fellowship of the ring all the 9 figures,also goblins,orcs and uruk hai.Are those packs of units enough in numbers to play small games with friends? and if yes where can i find those scenarios,and can u suggest any? we want to start the game with my friends since i have units from various factions ,i just dont know if those units are enough.
Interested in lotr but this is the first game I have watched. 1st turn charges weird deployment . Is this normal for the game? Also how balanced do you th8nk the game is?
I swear that happens every time. Has he ever won a game against Ash? Like even once? I remember one game of WH fantasy he played as Brettonia where Ash absolutely murked him with guns even with a 4+ ward save.
Awesome batrep guys! But I did spot a few rules errors, when a hero calls a heroic move they must be the first model to move, berserkers have a 6+ save, and when a hero's heroic is cancelled by them being engaged they don't get their might back.
I agree, in 1st turn, do a runner. Leave those back to delay the troll. Riders of Rohan = Archers. Rohan are always on the back foot, they run on lower Fight values,etc. Thanks.
Just thinking about how you pronounce ugluk something like 'uh-glock' and I pronounce it like 'oog-look'. Great video, just had that random thought. :)
How come you guys don't back away when a fight is won or lost? Models aren't always killed, and that gap allows for the next turn's movement to run away, if so desired.
Play Elrond, he has 1D6 per game to influence priority with (max 6 still). Not to mention 3 might and boost shooting (no die rolls to get the boost, just stand near the archers).
i just started this game this week as i picked up some easterlings and kamul 2nd hand cant wait to get my feet wet. I also have a pike captian so im not just staring with a toolkit hero :D
i would say dont bring grimbold or the infantry dudes next game, use the points to bring either eomer or theodread to the table, each bringing with them 3 might points, precious might to use for heroic moves to get your much needed rohan charges off
About midway through the game if began to monsoon rain. When we’re talking the camera does a great job of distilling audio. If we’re quiet for more than 3 second you can suddenly here the roof being nearly torn off by rain.
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames he's new, and made some tactical blunders, he didn't need to move onto the board as a mob, making it easy for you to tie him up. I saw him throw no spears when he charged. He shouldn't have countered the heroic move, he could have saved theodens might for heroic combats. I assume he'll learn how to break it in the future, it's what he does ^_^
