Revan Reborn The writing of the two games was average, but Celebrimbor’s character is fucking great. Their interactions in this game are actually pretty enjoyable, especially when you collect the artefacts.
@@naegoaway3562 a surprising amount of gaming channels, lol I guess they dont understand the fact that the ending remains true to the themes of LoTR and really was the only way that made sense in my opinion
FidelCashFlow i agree, the story was eventually made canon, and I liked it, and I love how they put a song in this game, like how all of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies had songs at the end
Yeah idk why people hated on it, at least it wasn’t like the first game, and besides it fits really well with the level of strength Mordor and Sauron had, Talion could never escape Mordor truly. Although I really hate the Galadriel DLC as it just shits on talion and the very ideals it tried to set up. Not only that, why did etariel take the ring, as she herself despised it and even hated the very rings of power Calabrimbor made, makes 0 sense that part XD
"You speak to me of betrayal? When you and Celebrimbor left me to die..." -Talion, the Fallen Ranger. Hit me hard man. Still a fantastic game that I play to this day.
@@siddhanthmv3675 Celebrimbor could have ended the war but just like before he let his hubris get the best of him. Eltariel was strong but she lacked conviction, even Sauron pointed out that had Celebrimbor brought Talion they would have ended the war there.
It's like general grievous, he was op af when he first appeared and was one fast fuck then after he was wounded to the chest he got his cough and is greatly weakened stamina because of his injuries therefore he was weak as hell in ROTS
She is the spawn of the great Ungoliant. The Primordial Evil that made accord with the first Dark Lord Melkor. To which the great Spider almost devoured the dark lord if not for his cries that alerted the Balrogs. Goes to say that Shelob would be intelligent and cunning just like her mother.
Regardless whether it's canon or not, Talion would remain to be as one of my favorite videogame characters. The serious single objective kind of character never usually works well but they executed it flawlessly with Talion, the restless gravewalker, the selfless ranger, and the shadow of war. You will not be forgotten, unsung hero.
I liked him a lot more in SoM though, not only did he look better (lol), but he was also more mysterious, like a ranger across a barren hostile landscape. Too much interaction/civilisation. Idk, can't really describe it. Not that I disliked him in SoW tho
I just finished the game right now. 2md playthrough. This time on Brutal difficulty. I don't want to play the Gravewalker difficulty. If I wanted something like that I'd be play Souls games. I rage quit Sekiro.. not for me. 😅
YES. I will forever cry about it. I can only hope that Embracer allows Monolith to make another game after they've finished Wonder Woman. I love these games so much
The writing was certainly not the focus of the game I tell you that. I love this game but no way would I call the story amazing, and the story missions too were quite awful...
Talion is the living definition of the phrase "Either you die as the hero or you live long enough to become the villain." He was one of the best videogame characters I've ever seen, I'm glad in the end he finally got the ending and the peace he always fought for.
Xman42635 I thought i was the only one who noticed, so i kept scrolling hoping someone else caught it..... so here i am lmfaoo 😂😂😂 XD XD who knew balrogs have such beautiful voices
It is now three years later... Talion continued his fight in Mordor. Eventually, before he fell to darkness, he defeated his greatest foe - Lootboxes. And restored order to Middle-Earth.
After beating the game, this song has so much more meaning. It almost brings be to tears. Never forget this, traveler: Nan Ichir Gelair Mordor, All shall fear me, and rejoice.
@@MC_SD.702 We've heard the rumors that it might be in Gondor, or Harad, but who knows. The time frame could be a custom story within the fourth age too which would be neat since orcs still exist, along with the corrupted men.
"The Time Has Come, For A New Ring" "As Long As I Have Breath In My Body, My Fate Is My Own" -Talion Ranger Of Gondor Captain Of The Black Gate Gravewalker Nazgul Tark Bright Lord Husband Father I Hope Your Sacrifice, For All Of Middle-Earth Will Never Be Truly Forgotten
I think it would just be a better idea to do what bethesda is doing with skyrim maybe come out with some new content for shadow of mordor and shadow of war some new mods some new dlcs
Revisiting what is an underrated masterpiece. Thank you for the memories. Rest in peace Talion, you held back the forces of darkness for as long as you could.
Fric calembrimbor I loved him in shadow of mordor I did see some signs of betrayal still but without him sauron would probably still be trouble but because of him he was
Played through this game on my first playthrough on Nemesis Difficulty and all that I can say? Fuck the reviewers and die-hard loreguys, man. I loved this game, every bit of it.
Dudes made a completely off canon storyline and came up with something a million times better than what amazon did with a multi million dollar budget for a tv series. This game perfectly embodied Celebrimbor as the prideful/semi cold hearted first bloodline of Noldorin just like his father, uncles and grandfather who was Feanor. I still watch cut scenes from this game to get that cringe sissy Celebrimbor they casted in RoP out of my head.
My mom wasn't much of a video game lover, like at all. But she heard this song and I taught her how to play . I miss her every day. I like to imagine she was like Talion at the end. Relieving herself of burdens and walking into the light to be with my dad
I know this probably doesn’t mean very much coming from a random stranger on the internet, but I saw your comment and just wanted to say, that I am sorry for your loss and I hope your mom rests in peace.
Been a LOTR fan since childhood. I got this game for Christmas in 2017, and it took me 94 total hours to get %100 completion. I'll always remember tears and emotions when I heard this song for the first time. Will always be one of my favorite video games.
Just beat the game. That ending made me cry, GOTY 2017 personally. I loved the first game, this one improves in every way. Thank you Monolith for giving us such an amazing game, and giving me my name.
Jacob Wilkinson PFFFT I wish! I borrowed the name “Talion” from Shadow of Mordor when it came out since literally nobody knew about it and “Blacktear” refers to the “Sea of Black Tears” from Brütal Legend. So yeah, I appreciate the compliment though ^~^
Trek_Backgr07nd I enjoyed the story. That was the whole reason I bought it. I just don’t think that it’s worth spending 10+ hours to get a cutscene telling you stuff you already know
Trek_Backgr07nd Lets see what we already new that the “True” Ending tells us - Talion would become one of the Nine - Frodo would destroy the ring - Sauron would be defeated - Talion would die Now let’s see what it reveals to us that we don’t know already - Celebrimbor is freed from the eye of Sauron when the Ring is dropped into Oroduin Wow, fucking hell, to many revelations, mind cannot take so much information, completely worth the 20 hours I spent doing repetitive missions dear god. I’m not arguing that Shadow Wars isn’t fun, I enjoyed it myself, I’m arguing that it’s not worth playing if you want he secret ending
Who else is here after finishing the game? My eyes become watery.... Rest in peace Talion. Awesome game. Now Monolith do a Battle for Middle-earth 3 strategy game or something else in the Lotr universe.
Remus88Romulus i agreed with you. This is awsome game fantastic i finiah this game and the first part and i very equipment to trilogy lord of the rins and the hobbit, i saw this trilogy a millions times 😉👍
Girls locker room: ugh I hate pe it’s too much running Boys locker room: I have come into This arena to fight your champion IM STILL WAITING I HAVE HELD UP MY END OF THE BARGAIN AND YOUR CHAMPION HAS HELD UP HIS THE DARK PROMISED MERCY I MAKE NO SUCH OFFER RUN RUN TO YOUR MASTER AND GIVE HIM THIS MESSAGE I COME FOR HIM
Hey guys, I just finished your game with 100% complete today. My final mission was the defence of seregost, my favourite region. I was wearing all the nasgul outfit with the wraith skin on. After the battle ended and the finale played, I was moved. I changed Talions skin back to normal, put on all of his epic ranger gear, call my favourite bodyguard one last time and promoted him to legendary status. After that I exit the game and put it back in the case. Thank you so much for such a wonderful adventure.
I don't know if a can consider what i'm going to say a spoiler but... Well, here it goes "Nothing will be forgotten" But nobody in middle earth will remember what Talion made happen :'(
DobleDeWom maybe gandalf knows but never said his name because he failed and turned into a ring wraith? Or maybe his name is only used as a warning to all who want to take one of the rings and his legend was forgotten
By their silly logic, the LOTR movies aren't canon to the Similarion. These games only filled in blank spots of the lore, whether or not they are canon is up to the individual
Talion lost everything and still fought for what was right. Thank you to the shadow of war developers for making such a freaking awesome game! Shelob and Talion: They were the real MVPs in shadow of war.
When i finish most of the games I just move on. But when i finished this one I felt that it moved something inside of me. Maybe It's because it takes place in Middle Earth, maybe that the ending was really good or maybe because this song describes the whole game in 4 minutes and 7 seconds but whenever I remember something about this game I feel a strange motion in my body. Partly happines that after so many years someone outhere is still making LotR based games and partly sadness that Talion is dead and we will never see him again.
Been playing it since I heard Shadow of War coming out. Never finished it because I loved playing with the nemesis system so much. Just completed it yesterday and got my follower and nemesis all ready.
LOTR will always have a special place inside, even before Shadow of war i was playing LOTRO now years later all the friends you make have moved on, good times good memories and good mates!
Let's be honest: The story is full of incoherence with the lore of LOTR, but Shadow of War let us made OUR story with all the orc's friendship along the way. I created my own narration with them and made them stronger enough to make a tournament before destroying my save file after 100% this game. I still remember their faces, fading in the Fires of War.
Wherever celebrimbor ended up, I really hope he also found both peace, and time to reflect on why things had to go the way they did. He's such a tragic, unique character... I kind of want him to realize why what he was doing was wrong, but I don't want him to suffer as he's what Talion would have ended up as if he fell to darkness straight away, only worse because he'd end up as a new dark lord.
Guys who played shadow of morodor a lot of times to at least soften the hype but still with every vidoe of shadow of war that comes out the hype grows stronger
as Gimli said never trust Elves. All war of Middle Earth it was Men who lost everything. after all these years when I listen this song I burst info tears, I wish my memory of this game gets erased and I could play again. My hero Talion I would fight for you and die beside you. Rest in Peace Lord of all Middle Earth
Read the books, saw the movies, idc. While these games didn’t follow the canon, they’re absolute masterpieces. I just look at them as an alternate universe because they’re so damn good. Honestly, SoM could’ve fit with the canon but SoW went a bit further. Either way, fuck it. Need to replay both soon. Edit: forgot to mention the soundtrack… but what needs to be said? The end of SoW had me in tears, much in part due solely to this song.
Kevin McGuire I feel like the story will go down paths that the player chooses, in the sense that "Will Talion fall to the power of the ring and end up another mad king or will he be able to leave it and step away when everything is done."
Last Defender Of Xhotl Thats what i mean. Will talion fall to the power of the ring, be corrupted and have to be killed by the hooded woman ( the blade of whatchamacallher) or fail and walk away from the ring. Because for the story to even attempt to remotely match the canon, Talion has to fail in all of this.
eddieguererro46 Celebrimbor betrays him like an arrogant cunt, Talion becomes a Nazgûl and hopefully Eltariel was bled and tortured for decades before then getting hung, drawn and quartered and used as a war banner.
Best 2017 song , really , I haven't listened to anything this year , everything is just garbage , but this is a masterpiece , it's so good ,been listening and watching all day :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
