It seems counter intuitive for a family to want the value of 100 camels since it's Allah's will whether one lives or dies. Seems like you mentioned no one wears seat belts because of Allah. What about a car accident where the deceased would've been saved by a seat belt? I've seen vids of how people drive there. omg. You have my utmost respect for your bravery in even driving!
Beheadings are on Fridays but not every week and they do draw a crowd. I won't go to one. There are many jails and I'm trying my best to avoid those too.
Blessings to you for caring for the kitties. Blood money is common the world over. Pack behavior is fascinating. Camels are expensive but death slightly more so! Thank you for the info into other countries customs.
Hi there, I came across this channel while looking for shoelace locks :D I'm not sure if your lawyer have made a mistake or if you have a bad one, but I wanted to clarify something. In Saudi Arabia, the Diya (pronounced as in "dee-yeah") or blood money for accidental death is set at S.R. 300,000 ($80,000) not $250,000 (few years ago it was SR 100K~120K which was around $26K to $32K). and most of the car insurance policies that I've seen had a minimum liability/damage cover of 5 million SR and some even 10 million. Also, in the case of accidental death, they wouldn't execute you if you fail to pay the diya, they would just put you in jail until you are able to pay or someone was able to pay it instead of you :)
suburban sentinel LOL. What if you were stopped by someone embraces AlQaida ideology there and you look so much like American? I guess you would have to pay Diya the moment he meets you. P.S. here is another interesting fact to know about Diya. The Diya of non-Muslim victim equals the amount you pay for Mac Book Pro. 13".
