Hamas won elections in Gaza after Israel withdrew and immediately set up an authoritarian theocratic oppressive regime which crushed and murdered all opposition and opponents, denying Palestinians freedom of speech movement opinion press and religious freedom and held no more elections. They failed to develop the infrastructure and institutions for a free open prosperous Gaza which should have been another Dubai Singapore Monaco. Where did the aid dollars go?
The entire EU, UK, and US have no issue with that. They deal with unelected regimes all day every day on equal ground. The question is: does Hamas really represent these people well? If the answer is yes, well, that gives us a whole bunch of different downstream answers to the next 100 questions

Yup and Netanyahu was sitting pretty in USA just last week. These are wanted war criminals but rogue states like USA and Qatar just flout international law.
I'm not so sure that Iran is capable of all out war with Israel.. Hamas thought it would be all out war from the day Palestine was occupied, but to there surprise just a few rockets with no military or infostructure targets archived by the so called axis. I could be wrong, but from what I've seen they are probably best going back to bomb vests..

The USA has already become the world's leading energy producer once again. But, aside from lowering prices at the pump, improving the fortunes of whatever political party is in power at the time, and lining the pockets of the Koch Brothers etc... this won't do much good for America and of course will do precisely nothing to stop millennia-old tribal animosity in the Middle East. If you're suggesting that American dependence on Mid East oil is somehow to blame for tensions in the region (which is wrong anyway)... then... America becoming "energy independent" will only make the problem very, very much worse in the near future, as, though our production is through the roof right now, our reserves are lower than ever. More production means our reserves run out faster. How independent do you think we're going to be after we've used up all of the oil we've got... when we've got zero... and Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Venezuela still have hundreds of billions of barrels underneath their feet? We can't drill our way out of this situation. (Also, importantly, Jews and Muslims will still be killing each other even if the only thing they have to do it with is sticks and rocks; has nothing to do with oil or wealth.)
