Omg I am so happy someone validated my hate for Rifaaqat! I was so disappointed when I got it. Smelled like burnt wood. I didn’t even get vanilla. Actually thought maybe I had a bad one and almost bought another one. So glad I didn’t waste my money! We must have the same nose. I am a forever subscriber now!
I watch more than a few fragrance reviewers. Never have I seen reactions like yours. Especially when so many others like these. I had to subscribe just to find out what you do enjoy. In saying all this, I loved your out right honestly. You cracked me up!
I have my rifaaqat for 4 months now, at first it smell like a dirty cat lol, after 4months men that vanilla is something else it got smooth creamy with vanilla and strong i like it now
I kept mine for six months, it didn’t get any better. I just got the real babycat and it’s beautiful. They don’t smell alike. Riffaquat smells like someone that should go and wash their kitty.
yes same! it smells so good! the burnt smell is almost non existent now after maceration. That spicy vanilla is something and at that price point! 🙌🏼 I honestly feel bad for people who got a different scent out of this gorgeous perfume. Not one person disliked it on me either so I don’t understand 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Are these recent purchases or have you let macerate? With a lot of middle eastern perfumes they need to macerate for a couple of weeks or months. Some really calm down and get sweeter with maceration.
Spot on..all ME fragrances need time to sit and mature. I had to allow 6 months to a year for the fragrance to develop into something beautiful. Rifaaqat and had to sit for a couple of months. Now the fragrance has a gorgeous sueded leather and vanilla blend.
@@thebodyloungechi Yup I think, though I could be wrong, the stronger the fragrance the more it needs to macerate. I have had Bright Peach for three months and it's just now calming down and getting sweet I think another three months and it will be something I really enjoy wearing.
I’m right there with you on Bayn al Asrar….I don’t like the opening, but once it starts to dry down I kinda like it. I definitely like it better in the air than I do ‘nose to skin’. I’m keeping mine until next Spring to see if I enjoy it more.
I have most of these reviewed fragrances. Rifaaquat is a love. I thought I'd hate it because I hate By The Fireplace (we're talking pure smoke black charcoal, and loads of bitter cloves). I also have Forbidden Sugar - it's just a sweet violet floral to me. Tons of violet which I like, but Zaras "Violet Bloom" does it better - it gives more tartness and playfulness.
I dislike alot of middle eastern fragrances including qissa delicious, but I lOVEEE Rifacaat, it’s so smooth heavy vanilla and then the suede, no animalic middle eastern musk ,but mine isn’t beast mode or room filler I wish it was tho
I really appreciate this lovely lady ❤. Same here I am just not getting all the hype about all this Arabian perfume because all the one I bought, I had to give them away. Thx for being honest once again ❤
Loved this video. I really had to be honest with myself about most ME fragrances. I refuse to buy any fragrance that I would be ashamed to leave out on my vanity. Those bottles can be down right hideous. Quality and aesthetics are very important to me.

Forbidden Sugar came leaking in the mail. Packaging game is not strong, but the bottle is luxurious. I didn’t like it at first…borderline hated it…but I tried it again and I am starting to like it… Only thing is when I tried it, I unexpectedly had to get a package downstairs (I live in a condo), and I had to pass by 10 other people in the elevator and hallway…I was a little embarrassed. I feel it’s a strong fragrance.
I’ve only tried a couple of “popular” Middle Eastern fragrances so far and didn’t like either. They came for me when I said I didn’t like the Afnan Valaya dupe. I gave her away and sold others on Mercari. Can’t like what you don’t like. 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve had the Guidance dupe on my wishlist for a minute tho.
ChiChi I understand you on Forbidden Sugar! I keep going back to it sniffing and still have not been blown away. It's not sweet to me at all. It's supposed to be a dupe of Sugar by Frank Boclet. Smh! The bottle is the best thing going for it😂
I finally got Guidance after contemplating and have the dupe. Girl you telling facts....don't love wearing it because I confuse myself when I smell me but the compliments pour it. Guidance is deeper than the dupe, it's the la rose to delina exclusif to me 😂
Literally had the same with Bayn Al Asrar, not a big fan myself, but everyone around me seems to like it! I’m so confused and am also on the fence whether to keep it just for the compliments 😂 I wonder what’s that one thing in the notes that makes everyone go crazy like that.

I thought it was just me, but for the fifth time, I put on Guidance and got bug spray. It reminds me a little of Nebras, but I enjoy wearing Nebras. hey Chi Chi! what would be your favourite ME perfume? :) just curious. I gave up on ME after Khamrah which I hate, did not like Nebras either. ME perfumes to me tend to have something weird in them that gets on my nerves :D but then again I haven't tried that much
My current favorites are khair pistachio, khair fusion, pear potion and batikh watermelon. They're a bit more youthful and fun especially since it's summer
Im so glad I found you. i believe we have similar noses. Bayn Guidance dupe has a note that I cant get past! Is it Frankensense im not sure. I have even let it macerate and still its a no! I had Rifaacat in my cart buuuuut im going to wait, if you have not let it sit would you come back in a month or so if tou have time and let us know if it has changed please, because i dont like masculind leaning fragrances. Hey Beautiful! New subscriber here. I do agree with you on a LOT of your list but I will say in defense of some that Middle Eastern fragrances need to macerate, at least two weeks or longer. It really makes a difference! I do have to say that I appreciate your honesty. Honesty is feedback and ALL of these fragrance houses, Niche and Designer, especially, need to hear it!!

Guuuurl, I bought Rifaaqat & Bayn Alasrar in the same order. I was sad & dismayed, like "I know this ain't what the girlies are RAVING about!?" 😢 I agree, Rifaaqat is def a masculine scent, I'm giving it to my guy. I'm giving Bayn to my mom, I'm not the target demographic for that fragrance either. 😂
@LavishlyChiChi Bayn ALMOST made it to my perfume cabinet, but space is scarce & something in the background of that scent is like "No ma'am!" I let them both sit for over a month & pulled them out while watching your video. Rifaaqat smells GOOD, but for a man. Bayn is nice, but a lil too mature for my taste. Neither were "as advertised." But that's why I love a good blind buy... you never know what you're going to get. 😂
How long have you owned Forbidden Sugar? Is it something you recommend for beginners/nubes? I've been using Arabic fragrances to both figure out my likes and preferences and build my fragrance wardrobe/arsenal etc. at a cheaper price. But I'm realizing if you just follow the hype you can smell dank or great for another woman but not quite the version of yourself you were hoping for lol
I stumbled upon your channel and was waiting on you to tell me what Rifaaqat smells like but did not get that. To say if that is what Baby Cat smells like then you don't want to smell it leaves much to be desired. I got it and stored it away because it smells like burnt rubber with a tad of vanilla. I guess that's the leather or suede but I do not want to smell like the interior of a leather car that has been left in boiling sun.
@@blackpearltranchau I feel like if you are a girly soft girl you might not like it, even tho it’s a vanilla perfume the suede note and spices make it quite unisex, I can see a man in suit wearing this . I think it’s nice to have if you are building a collection or if you really LOVE vanilla perfumes .

I can't do 😭 I may try to have a decant first, even though it's cheap, it's a waste if I have the whole bottle but can't enjoy it 🥺
I fell for the hype with forbidden sugar, I couldn’t spray it twice, none of my friends would take it, it went in the trash, horrible! Riffaquat is a sad dupe of Babycat. Babycat has a rich, beautiful vanilla and doesn’t smell like a man. I’m not buying anymore Middle Eastern fragrances, I think I’ve purchased around 30 and all but 5 were not worth the money.
Yea forbidden sugar is nicer when macerated ❤ and reminds me of Hundred silent ways X. And Guidance is the best of best 🥹 everyone loves to smell it in the air
Before I blind buy, I watch RU-vid reviews and then I go on fragrance to read reviews from everyday folk and I rarely miss! I ain’t gonna lie, I wanna try rafiqat, I heard she goes off in the fall; I guess give her some time to macerate and give us a fall update!?! 😂 love the video. Thank you. 🩵🩵🩵
