Oud Mood was my first ME fragrance, 2 yrs ago and still.got and its sooooooooo much better with time......love it. Ameerat Al Ehsaas......love it love it.....and lasts

Oud Mood was one of the first lattafa fragrances I bought for myself and have been loving it since day one ❤❤❤ Ameerat Al Ehsaas, oh my word, so addictive ❤
Miss Sim, not sure if I already told you before but Mazaaji is duping Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal. They smell very similar but I won't exchange Royal for the world. But credits to Mazaaji, it has great performance. Also, I tried Lancôme La Nuit Trésor in the mall yesterday and I don't know why it smelled like it had oud in it. I prefer Modest Deux, hands down. I don't know how the other dupes smell like.

Hi Simin❤ I have a few presented perfumes. Dar Al Hae is very cheap, less than 20$ and beautiful but I must say I forgot about its as there are still oceans of new scents on the market. And I am always tempted, unfortunately😂. Or fortunately as perfumes is my aromatherapy section and I love love love just sniffing them from the cap❤❤❤. Signature True for me was OK but my mum and sister adore IT so, of course I had to get them it. I really love Ramz Golf and Khaltat al Arabia❤❤❤, gorgeous❤❤❤. And I avoid and scream from horror when I smell anything close to Crystal Noir, my traumatic experience😮. Luckily, my sister liked it and I got rid of my bottle of that blind bought scent❤❤❤❤

I must confess I wear Ameerat Al Ehsaas in the summer, and I use Crystal Noir in winter. Sometimes it just fits right where nobody expects. Same with Qaeed by Lattafa, I bought it in late autumn but immediately knew it will blossom in summer and I was right. The warmth makes it sweeter and spicier. Thank you for another great review, Sim, I used to live in Dubai 25 years ago and I miss the aromas of this place. ❤

@SiminShaikh Oooooh, I have a bottle of Mazaaij in my closet. New! Never opened! The summer before I got my flare-up I bought a few perfumes (Lattafa - Mazaaij, Lattafa -Emaan, Diane Castel- Rose d'Artiste, and Asdaaf- Andaleeb Flora (btw, anyone who thought the OG boring or too floral can have my current 70% bottle, that has become rather spicy (!) in its maturing) that weren't too expensive and that seemed like great warm weather scents. But circumstances prevented me from wearing or even opening them. Only the Diane Castel has been opened and I'm glad for it, as that one seemed watery and boring, and now it has become a lovely rose fragrance that might make me swear off the much more expensive French colleague Chloe-Chloe. The Castel is - I paid €25, but closer to France it can be gotten for amounts below €20 - an ideal rose perfume for summer for the person who prefers sweeter or heavier (or a combination of both) scents, but who understands summer fragrances can't pack a too sugary or strong punch. Chloe-Chloe was my initial Summer Rose, with the caveat it remained a tad too "just nice" for me, if you catch my drift (no offense to anyone who loves it, I just can't give it more). The blackberry, jasmine and vanilla in Rose d'Artiste give it the oomph I need without becoming too strong. It's still a bit sparkly/ fresh, like the Chloé. It's also nice it isn't a dupe. Anyway, this video made me think of another video option. I'm not sure if this is a viable idea, but I would love to know which Middle Eastern fragrances are currently 'hot' or 'going viral' within the Middle East itself. Are these very different from what we wear? Are these Western perfumes, or are their any M-E fragrances that are currently missed in all the RU-vid talk - but you can give us the inside scoop? Maybe this leads to perfumes you already know will be hated by most, then just don't make the video😅 (or if they're all French/Italian). Another one I would really, really LOVE, but that is a general idea, is a video with perfume brands that rarely get attention. I also think that'll set your channel apart in a good way. Think of Zimaya, Gulf Orchid, Khalis, Naseem, Arabiyat (only ever our favourite cola scent 😉), Rogue Perfumes, Riifs... to begin with. But I'm certain you - living where you do - can come up with plenty more, maybe also a few (dupe) perfume oil companies. Initially, no one said anything about Khadlaj and after I'd been pestering a fave RU-vidr of mine and she spoke of a few, suddenly others knew to speak of it. And now they even have a viral perfume (that I've still not tried 😅). It would be interesting to hear about & see other brands that create great original or inspired fragrances, but that simply get little to no attention at all, YET 😊. PS. Besides the Mazaaij, I also still own Signature True and Khaltat Al Arabia Royal Blends. I've actually tried every single Tresor La Nuit Inspired fragrance I've ever heard of, and while I really like the Signature True (it is quite close to the OG, it sadly just doesn't have any performance... on my skin), I keep coming back to Jazzab Gold and Modest Deux as they're certainly inspired by it, but remain different and good enough to have a place in my collection for a very long time; I own a backup of both perfumes and am on the 2nd and 3rd bottle of each respectively (though the more the 2nd Jazzab matures the stronger the rose gets and I'm more a fan of the fruity creaminess it has at first. The 3rd Modest II just gets better and better).

I was not aware of Diane Castel. I tried to find them here in UAE but they are either unavailable or the ones that are, are USD100 or above, sheesh! I remeber first smelling Chloe by Chloe. I like the perfume on other, but not on myself. I have a friend called Yuliya, and it was her signature scent. And i adored it on her. You know what's funny? People in UAE wear western perfumes more than the local Middle eastern brands lol. Off late I have been smelling a whole lot of Prada Paradoxe, GG Blush, Mugler Angel and Gentle Fluidity Gold. The true to the ME perfumes core wear Oud Mukhallat oils which they can blend themselves in shops layered with Bakhoor (which is smoking themselves and their clothes with the burning oud sticks). They smell super expensive and you can smell them from a mile away. UAE is a mix bag of a lot of nationalities and the UAE nationals only make up about 12% and the rest are expats. the expats are from all over the world, and everyone has a very unique taste in perfumes. So it is difficult to define trends in perfumes, clothing, etc. I love the idea of trying out some lesser known brands. I will do a bit of research of their availability outside of the UAE. Naseem is actually collaborating with me soon and also Al Absar which you will see soon on my channel. BTW, I think you know more ME brands than I do lol. I still feel if you ever started your channel, it would be the biggest ever! I am also guilty of ignoring Khadlaj for a veryyyy long time. It was actually after a collab that i discovered them and now I am obsessed. They are probably the top 3 in quality. Oh Shoot! I also have all the dupes of La Nuit Tresor (almost all). I am obsessed with that DNA and I think every house made their own versions and I am happy they all are a little different. Babe, really. I felt so happy reading your message. Your story about the bakhoor and all that was super interesting. I'm not all that surprised somehow that Western perfumes are most popular where you're at (with that % of expats - crazy many btw - it is logical in a way), but it's fun to realise that we Westerners think ourselves to be embracing the Middle East, only to realise that we're basically buying For the Westerner- stuff after all. If you can somehow show how it works with the sticks and bakhoor and all that, I'd love that! I love history and culture, and despite the fact that we have quite a lot of Muslims here, their culture is nothing like yours (nor are we really allowed or invited into theirs. Trust me, I tried. As a woman, that was impossible). They are mostly from Northern Africa, with a smaller % from Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Asian countries. But I'm sure that just doesn't compare to the UAE or other Arab countries. My point is: I always love to see how the things I'm interested in are used or done in other countries. In this case, scent, fragrances. I really want to start using more oils as well. As for me starting that channel...eh yeah, you know that'll never happen. But if you'd like to pray for me that I'll be able to write for my own blog on a regular basis, and that said blog will be equally useful and popular I'm all for it 😉. By the way: are there any dupes for the Tresor La Nuit flankers? There are many flankers, and plenty are almost as popular as the OG, but I think I've only ever seen a Fragrance World A LA Folie dupe - and didn't like it. Which brings me to Diane Castel: I could send it to you, but fear that the combination of shipping and customs fees will make for a very expensive little bottle. My suggestion is to mail them. Castels main company can be found on officedesparfums dot com and they sell - I believe- all her fragrances there. Not to mention, there is a form for under the contact button (in the menu), which you can use to explain that you want to test & review their stuff. Either they'll send you a nice PR package, or they can at least provide affordable resellers that send it to the UAE. I bought mine on dubaicollection dot eu, but they, as well as its mother site, won't be of much use to you (only ship within Europe). So, just try their head office. Okay, this is a bit of a dry message, but the funny stuff and anecdotes of the previous comment got lost in the process of having to type everything again. I'm going to choose my bed fragrance and turn in for my beauty sleep, lol. I really want a rose scent now, after all this Diane C talk, lol. I guess FW's Oud Satin Mood inspiration will do quite well. I had a 10ml decant, and the longer I have it, the sweeter and deeper it gets. It isn't a complicated scent - I think that's an MFK thing - but somehow packs a punch. I can't wait to try the Gentle Fluidity Gold and Acqua Aevum dupe decants. I absolutely adore the Grand Soir one (Barakkat Ambre Eve), and after the development of the Oud Satin Mood decant, I bought a full bottle of Barakkat Satin Oud. It's one of those fragrances that is both comfy and sexy, but also classy and relatively simple. It was also the final proof for the discovery that I really despise Oudh, in all its faux variants or real ones, UNLESS it's Laotian Oudh. I've 3 perfumes with the stuff from Cambodia, and every single time, I feared the worst, but to my surprise, I really loved the very comfy, sometimes even fruity-woody scent. Heyy ! Could you please film a video of Arabic perfumes with a strong chocolate /hazelnut or chocolate & nut like praline note? I have been searching online and I found a few but I’d like to have some strong ones recommended. I own al rehab choco musk but it just smells like a powdery vanilla and doesn’t last long. I know of Nebras , karus oud secret musk (which I can’t get as it’s sold out sadly) and Arabian oud resala but I’m wondering if anyone knows of any other chocolate/hazelnut scents? Unfortunately, none of them have a prominent Hazel or Chocolate note for that matter. They smell more like biscuit, or toffee, milkshake. I dont think anyone has come close to mastering a, Nutella, kind of scent, which i am craving ❤❤❤
Hi my beautiful angel, what a lovely journey in time it must have been to revisit these perfumes. I think this video is wonderful. I actually also bought the first 2 perfumes by Lattafa in the first few purchases ever ( of Middle Eastern perfumes) so it was over a year ago I bought these. Mazaaji is now absolutely lovely. I actually can smell lemon in this perfume , it was very sharp ( to my nose ) with a lemon note when I got it last winter , and I put it away only to bring it back out in summer, I am sure it has even more improved. Lattafa Ramz Gold got stolen 🤣😅, Gerry loves wearing this and it smells divine and very masculine on him so I gave it to him as I could not argue the fact that I had far too many perfumes anyway 😂. BTW I did buy a back up bottle of Nabeel's Mastermind Rouge for Gerry as I think this one is incredible to my nose ( and to his as well) . I have not got any of the others except my oh so beloved Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends , I actually bought a back up bottle of this perfume. To me it is total comfort, like you said a proper hug, it surrounds with warmth. I always thought this was a true Middle Eastern scent and I love it for that reason as well. I also get plum, powdery boozy notes to begin with, I also get pineapple somewhere in there, almost a caramelized pineapple, I love all the spices, especially the way the cinnamon shines among all these spices. I also felt there was a hint of oud in there. For me this is a 10 out of 10, there is something in the dry down that takes me back to a special time of my life. If I had a give a name to the feeling of this perfume it would be "True Love" , not sure if this has to do with my scent memories or also because it feels like a hug. I will never tire of this perfume. I have worn this all throughout the year except on too warm days. In colder weather of course it shines the most and in mild weather I have to try and restrain myself from spraying too much. I am still on the fence about Oud Mood. Not sure if I got a strange batch late last year. I have not worn it and do not like it yet I love Shagfhaf Oud , especially the dry down but I really have to be in the right mood to wear this. But Oud Mood, there is something so harsh to my nose which I dislike, I am sure it cannot be the oud. I love Amethyst, Ameer al Oud Intense and other oud perfumes but Oud Mood is strange to my nose and still has not improved enough. Perhaps I got a bad batch. I love the idea as well about a maceration video. Must go as another migraine arrived and I am trying to limit my time on the computer for now. In the beginning, I thought it burnt some hair in my nostrils. But I fell in love with the dry down. Now, after a year or so, it is such a pleasant scent and the longevity on it is insane! ❤❤❤ I am not surprised that Gerry stole the Ramz Gold. I agree, its unisex (although most people might disagree with me). It is so sexy on a man. Ali used it once but was like "I smell like you", and then he never touched it again. I should make him try it now coz it has got darker and a tad bit more masculine after a years worth of maceration. You have me sold on Nabeel's Mastermind for Ali. I will get it for him during the Amazon Prime Day. I should hopefully get it for a reasonable price. I remember when you first described Khaltat Arabia to me and I thought my goodness, I could not have described it better. I love it but can only wear it during winter here in the UAE. You might have a bad batch of Oud Mood. Since I know you get me. Lemme tell you exactly how it is supposed to smell like.. Its very cold with saffron and sugared rose in the opening. Oud which is a dark cold oud (non barnyardy), with lots of smokiness. Very middle eastern. Some would say, it is the essence if middle eastern perfumes. I too suffered terrible migraine on Sunday.
