This is day 2 of my ride at middle hill mountain bike park. This is a privately owned bike park on a farm north of Kaikoura on the East coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
This is truly a stunning place to ride with some gnarly trails.

I’ve never been a caravan guy. Some childhood trauma from very wet windy nights in a leaky awning could be the reason. Seeing these videos I’m getting curious. Love to get your thoughts as your going or at the end on pros and cons from a bikers perspective. I’m lucky that my wife is just as into riding as I am so I might even be able to get away with bikes inside haha.

Does your caravan have enough power to charge the bike batteries and run the fridge? Edit: oh just heard you have a gas fridge, thats oldschool! Awesome set up

The fridge runs on gas. But no power to recharge batteries. Need powered site to do that.

These trails look epic. The grades in NZ are really haphazard. We should change them all to the rest of the world, based on skiing venues. Ie green, blue, red, black, double diamond black, orange jump park etc.

I do agree the gradings are very haphazard. However they are not all the same overseas. Some have red then black as the hardest trail while others have black and double black as the hardest. Then Pro lines have come into fashion in recent years. Also a trail can be double black but has a few huge jumps that you can ride around making it a blue. Other trails have no B lines and are serious business.

Just something I noticed, the video quality isn't up to the same standard as your usual. Even if I max it to 4K, it's not crisp on my 4K monitor. I'm guessing it's the RU-vid upload/compression algorithm or a setting you chose when uploading.

That is disappointing to hear. Just watched it now and it looks good on my computer. The settings are unchanged except uploaded slower due to wireless internet. That can make a difference some times.

@@bestdayevermtb2 yeah I'm not sure mate. But I have a great monitor and normally your vids pop with clarity but there's just a softness on this one. I thought maybe it was a lens or setting you're using etc.

@@bestdayevermtb2 just to clarify, the video still looks good as such. And better than many MTB videos around. Just not AS GOOD as some of your previous ones. Also, I used to work in television broadcasting and editing for TVNZ, so I apologise for the pickiness but it was trained into me!

@@Gee-1979 All good. I have been working on improving picture quality since I made the first terrible video. I have made some additional changes that come in soon. Will be interested if you can tell.
