Mideast Racing ends the 2023 season with the Wilson Memorial (Airport) race in Hickory, NC. This was my first time racing this track and it did not disappoint. Conditions were extremely dusty, probably the worst I have ever raced in. I was in 3rd place in my class coming through the 1st lap, but it all went downhill after that. A nasty crash on my 3rd lap left me with an injured shoulder and ultimately ended my day of racing.
This has been a really fun year of racing. I have met some really cool guys this year and I'm looking forward to putting in some offseason work and see if I can make a run for the championship next year.
