Midge is an excellent musician, his version of Man who sold the World is a new wave masterpiece, and he is a great admirer of Bowie. I loved this piece.
While I liked Bowie ....I love Midge's work and have been a major fan for nearly 40 years. Indeed we must thank Bowie for all those he inspired. RIP Mr. Bowie.
I Love Midge Ure's accent ( Scottish ?? ) and the way He's talking about David Bowie, The Man Who Really FellTo Earth... We're all missing you and Hoping you're awaiting for us all .. The Starman
I was 17 when I moved away from home to live in a bedsit, depressing time. The first thing I bought for my little drab room was a giant poster of David in a little-striped number. Sorrow was number 2 in the charts at the time.
I'm one of those who never really got Bowie, I like Fashion and Blue Jean and maybe Aches to ashes. Still, great artist who influenced so many other artists. Midge Ure is king.
