"The Metamorphosis Melody" is a charming collection of songs that sway among the harder tendencies of metal and the soothing melodies of atmospheric bliss. Heavy guitar riffs and thundering drums meet the emotive vocal lines and dreamy interludes that Carmen makes her own, while the rest of the band, notwithstanding, ennoble the tracks such as "Spellbound" or the beautiful ballad "Goodbye" with their musical expertise. The special magic of "The Metamorphosis Melody" is masterfully accentuated by Markus Stock (Empyrium, The Vision Bleak) of Klangschmiede Studio E, whose know-how allowed each instrument and vocal line just enough room to unfold.
