that's an Australian plug by the way! And I got my drivers permit last week (I'm 17) but in Australia you have to do soo much before you can get it! When you turn 16 you do a written test, then you have to complete 100 hours of daytime driving, 20 hours of night time driving, and driving goals with a person who has their full license with them the whole time. Then you attempt your driving test and if you pass you can drive by yourself but it's called a provisional license and there are all these restrictions. It's so complicated to get your full license and i couldn't be bothered explaining anymore.
Hey! I love your videos and I would really love it if you could follow me on twitter :) Also I really appreciate how much effort you put into your videos and how much time you have dedicated to youtube! I really hope you will keep the channel running for many more years to come :) Thanks, Lili x
It amazes me that you can get your license after only driving for 8 hours. In Australia you have to do 120 hours and you cant go for your test until you've had your learners permit for a year.
No that license he has is a provisional license, it's a license where learners in the UK have which allow them to drive on the roads legally but WITH an instructor, or a family/friend who has been on the road for over 3 years! Once Alfie is ready he will book the test, (people are averagely expected to take 40 hours worth of lessons) then booking their test, once that it done you're provisional license gets taken away from you and you get a full license in the post, that's how it's done in the UK anyway, I'm learning atm :)
Where I live in the US you take a drivers education course, then you take a written test (at 15 or older) and if you pass then you can get your permit and drive with a person 21 or older. You have to have your permit for at leat 6 months and drive at least 30 hours, 10 of them being at night, and then you take behind the wheel training with an instructor for 6 hours (or something like that) and then you can take your license test once you are at least 16.
ZOES MAKEUP COLLECTION AND STORAGE OHHHH MMMMYYYYYYY GOOOOOD I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER I've been waiting for this video for sooooo long Ever since i subscribed to her About 3 years agooo Woooow
When Zoe had Alfies underwear on her face and said Bish Weeaaat? I spit all my water out, and I'm finally off the floor drying up my tears from laughing too hard!
In Australia you have to have a total of 120 hours on your learners permit before you can attempt your driving test. And now they're putting it up to 200 hours of driving.
Huh, in America ( in Massachusetts ) you have to do 12 hours of driving lessons, and then 40 hours of driving with parents ( this is of course when you're a junior operator, so under 18 )
Australia* Sorry to be a pain cause I hate people correcting me but I also hate when people spell Australia wrong I know you probably didn't mean it but yeah
Geez! ...I wish Australian driving rules were like Brighton! We need 120 hours experience just to be able to go for our test! And once we do pass, we go onto our Probationary License (P1 - Red P Plates) for 1 year, & then go onto our P2 license (Green P Plates) for 3 years! AND THEN.... we finally go onto our full license! Ridiculous! ...But safer I guess! :)
Wait... you only need 8 hours to pass? Is that because of your age? In Australia (in Victoria) we need 120 hours at least with a fully licensed driver unless we are over the age of 25, then we go onto Red and Green P restrictions, with Red P's for the first year (no more than one passenger and speed/car/towing restrictions) then Green P's for another 3 with less rules but not fully licensed yet! And yet our traffic incident rates are insane...
I know its crazy! Australia have more car crashes in 6 months than the UK have in years… and a much much smaller population... I don't quite get it either :) xx
I was just about to comment the same thing!! They can also get their full driving licence at 17 in England :( we don't get it till, what, 22 in Melbourne?? So unfair!
Erin Durkin I guess Australians are actually nutters on the road.. I missed the 120hrs thing by 2 days! Only had to do the 50hrs in 6months and i don't know if we had those restrictions in 2007-2010.
Listening to them try to figure out how to cook is both hilarious and encouraging. They don't know what cooking terms are, but at least they're cooking their own food.
I live in Indiana and we have to be 16 to get our permit and wait 6 months to get our driver's license. And we only get it if we've completed 50 hours of driving. Even within the U.S all the states have slightly different rules for driving.
In most parts of Australia you have a be 16 to pass a written test then you have to drive 120 hours and you can't get your probationary licence until you're 18. Then I think it's 4 years until you can get your full non restricted licence.. I guess this explain why people say Australian roads are the safest! Haha
Where I live in Australia you are 16 when you get learners (like a permit but you have to drive with a adult who has had their full licence for 3 years) and you hat to do 100 hours of day driving and 20 hours of night and you keep a journal like thing to keep track. You also have to have your learners for 1 year and then after that 1 year you get your red provisionals witch allows you to drive alone in most circumstances you have that for a year. After that year you can get another type of provisionals, this time green. You have the green ones for 2 years then you get your full licence... My country is complicated
In New York, new law, so 16 to get permit and 17 to get your license, plus you're supposed to have a certain amount of driving hours during the day and the night (or darker times at least).
Um I know you only said or pin as you guys call it because Alfie was calling it that but Australians don't call it pins and I know that because I am Australian so yeah. Just saying and NOT trying to start a fight :)
When Alfie was in the car I was like "Alfie you shouldn't drive and vlog since you just got your car" then when he showed his mom driving I realized "oh yea they drive on the right side in the UK I live in the US we drive on the left side"
Alfie mate, hopefully you see this. Just to let you know there is a website in which if there is a cancellation at your driving centre they can send you an email or text you straight away. I used it and got a text 3days later for a test. Hopefully this is useful :)
***** idk where she's from but in America, you have to take a written test on the signs etc and if you pass that you get your learners permit. After you have your learners permit for 6 months and you drove for 65 hours (10 must be at night, and 5 must be in inclement weather) with a licensed driver thats 21 years or older then you can apply for your juniors drivers license and take the road test. (I know that each state varies a little bit but this is in Pennsylvania.)
oh wow, well I'm from the UK too and you have to do a written theory test and you just do as many lessons till you're ready, but that's normally about 20-40 hours depending on the person
Yeah UK is theory and practical! You can take your theory before and lessons so maybe that's what he's talking about! But yeah 20 hours is a really quick time to pass so 8 is insane!
No, I think Alfie must just be good at driving. I have never heard of anyone before only having 4 lessons and being good enough to pass, even if they are 2 hours each. Most people have around 20 lessons, but there are no set rules
Wtf in our country you have to have at least 21 hours of driving and than you can apply for the main driving test and you have to wait for it for about a month o.O It's also suuuper expensive :S
No it leaves all the fat in and it taste weird but grilling them takes all the excess fat off it same with barbecuing it drains the fat that ain't need x
