Midnight Club 2 is the best arcade racer ever made. There’s literally no game that has matched the sense of uncontrollable speed. The techno music, those nostalgic 2000’s graphics, the characters designs and fictional cars. Truly a masterpiece.
Fun fact (that I'm pretty sure everyone knows): The Torque JX is actually based off of the Nissan Skyline R34 and the Veloci is based off of the Saleen S7. P.S. like I said before, basically EVERYONE in the world knows this
Its one of the hardest races of all games ive been able to play. You need to learn to be absolutely perfect, plus choosing the route. Not really difficult when you have done it 100+ times but at first it really seemed impossible to me. The groovy music when you did complete it was just heaven to the ears
@Niranjan Pazhani Chamy but that's the beauty of it: There were many routes you could take (and even create your own) with various degrees of sucess. It pushed you to the limit and made you work for that win.
This game is full of very brutal races. I'm at 80 something percent and it's been Hell the last few races. The AI attacks so much! Cars will even stop, turn around and wait to make you crash by hitting you. Still fun somehow

That's how a real game feels, a good exam test. The final races tests you in everything and every location. Very few games actually respect the player and test them
Well, I don't usually do that, knowing the race is pretty long, there's plenty of time to make up lost time in the later checkpoints, so I just keep my head down, these guys may make a mistake at some point.

I really liked how precise you were near the end of Tokyo race 1. Slow and steady and zero mistakes. No one even caught up to you. That’s the mindset of an athlete under pressure, good job.
How much of the original soundtrack would be in the remaster though, I’m sure Thomas Bangalter and Felix Da Housecat would be more than fine with it, but what about the Trance artists, rappers and D-Noiser? We haven’t heard anything from those ones for the last 20 years.
No, after the crappy Triology Remastered, Rockstar could repeat the same disaster of bugs and problems. Its better a modern port with HD textures, hud, upscaled cutscenes with 60 FPS and high resolution screen.
Do u even know how much my heart pumped when I did this race as a child of like 4-5? The rage and swearing already began then thanks to this game... my all time favorite game, it has a really special place in my heart because i loves it so much
Savo's first Paris race is the hardest for me. I played this game on PC several times, and if I made one mistake, I could restart the race, cuz others would finish sooner. Compared to Los Angeles, where races of Savo are downright easy.
@@tayeeinthacut9661 The other races are easier because there is a lot of traffic and the AI isn't good enough to deal with it. So in Los Angeles for example, especially on the highways you have a clear advantage. I think Savo's first Paris race is very difficult, because you get so far away from other NPCs that they don't render, so the computer gives them an average speed, which is too fast. I always beat the racer who is on the same track as me.
I'm not sure about other racing games but the challenge in this one is INSANE. Not only do you need dozens of attempts just to remember well where to go, but the precision of the carhandling should be top notch. Your vehicle is faster only by a small margin compared to the competition, however it sucks with handling and acceleration. So this makes you only catch up on straight lines and perfectly executed turns. But they have a counter to your speed because they have 1 more nitro! ...Owh and screw the designer of those mofokin' pillars which makes your car get pulled towards them when hitting... still have nightmares about those xD
*ASSWIPE* 😆😅 Wicked throwback, you did really well with this. This whole game can be a challenge at times, but Savo... my word! One of the most difficult bosses ever, and you have just got to beat him once like most bosses, you have to beat SIX times! FFS 🙃
They should have made Savo slightly faster than the other racers just to emphasize that he was the champion, sick of seeing Nailz beat the shit out of everyone LoL!
Theory: what if at this point you race savo (as long as you dont win the races he stays champ ) he doesn't give as much effort as he once did when he cared and just let's his friends race for first

That drops is even harder in this video's second race You race up to the freeway at 250kmh and on the opposite lane, almost a free road, early morning, the acid hits and the cars appear on the horizon with a blinding sun Fucking orgasmic image, and such a great driving as well, almost perfect run on the second race
The 3rd race is my nemesis.. after 20 years there is still a feud between savo and me in my head.. he's kind of a master to me till now & maybe forever.. it's crazy
I just got to the 1st race with this dude. I stopped because the previous race was totally brutal! The AI is SO EVIL! All traffic steers right into you. I had a bus so determined to make me lose that it ran into a building trying to get in front if me. Curses! I still love it!
I beat the game when I was 14... I got a ps2 off Amazon 2 days ago and I just beat the entire game again. For me the 2 races that took me the longest were Savo’s 2nd Tokyo Race and The very Last race. I spent a good 2 hours on the last race.
I used to play this Game thousands of times and still love it, other Game a play on those years was ratchet and clank going comando wow i feel nostalgic.
I'm fully convinced this is the hardest game of all time whether it's arcade racer or action RPGs. Do not get fooled by this gameplay, the PC version is twice harder.
Just speed ran LA and Paris in a couple of hours, I had to take a break though. I've never wanted to throw hands with a video game so badly in my life after that. I'll try for Savo tomorrow. This scares me though. I feel like I'm going to need a new Monitor before this is over.
as a kid he was pretty easy to beat, I was slightly disappointed cause I was expecting it to be damn near impossible 😂but Makoto is a different story lol

Back in those days you have to keep your eyes open for the traffic and for objects, because more than one mistakes you have to run all over again, i will always be q fan of midnight club, the hard talks used to get me more even to win 😅😅😅😅

Zrndo Games tbh Darius wasn't as hard as savo and I love nfs even tho Darius does keep you on your toes this guy shot I struggle to keep up cause 1 mistake can cost you the whole race a lot quicker then nfs lol
I miss my childhood the were so many badass racing for example this game, midnight club 3, nfs most wanted, nfs carbon, nfs underground 2 it’s funny how this games in my opinion are still way better than nfs unbound 😂
This game has mad a staple in my childhood! I personally loved drifting around traffic and sharp corners so I preferred the Saikou XS car over the one your using for racing salvo. Having three cans of nos instead of four forced me to be smart about how to use them.
