Thanks so much for featuring my ride, Jonny!! And thanks so much for the promotion to Expert Builder! That's quite an honor. As for the missing music file...well...actually there was no music file. Ha ha...just sound effects. I wanted it to seem like a true haunted house...I felt a music track would have ruined that illusion a bit. BUT!!! Good news! I am in the middle of updating the ride with the new spooky scenery! I will not be changing the ride vehicle though...I'll be keeping the black cats. The Huntsman cars are too big and would not be able to navigate the tight spirals in the lift and drop towers in real life and the Hoax can't go up spiral lifts at all. Also...your frame rate issue might have been from the custom roof pieces I made. All those shingles were laid on by hand one at a time. Each tower roof contains over 1000 pieces. I wanted dilapidated looking shingled roofs and we just don't have those in the game so I made my own. Many of the parts I used in the ride are available on my workshop page, including all the roof pieces. Also, the park is far from finished but you guys can follow the progress of it here: forums.planetcoaster.com/showthread.php/23696-Kaleidoscope-Piers The park runs fine for me with Midnight Manor, Mousetrap Factory, and two other darkrides I've not submitted yet. I do have a really high-end gaming computer too though. It does get laggy when I open the park to peeps though so I work on it empty. ;op
It's just billboards placed in an octagon shape around the track. I made it available here for you guys (make sure to download the billboard image pack I made too): steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1089737717 billboard images and videos: www.mediafire.com/folder/gyq55sdi8laaa/Midnight_Manor_billboard_set
Fisherman RCT It’s a shame Frontier didn’t give us the rotating tunnel from RCT3. The ghost trains in RCT3 and previous RCT’s had a spinning tunnel you could make as long as you wanted. But the billboard trick works. I went through quite a few of those on walk throughs and rides over the years and they create the effect of the room spinning and you have the feeling of being off balance if walking and the feeling that your car is tilting on a ride through. My local park had a ride through and walk through with this effect and the ride through burned late Sept 1983 and the walk through closed after 1984 and was abandoned for over 20 years and was removed, it was in the basement of an old house that was repurposed as an arcade, eating stands, etc. it was torn down for a new Subway, there was a Subway stand on the outside of the old building. The park now has walk through haunted houses in the fall and one of them has the rotating tunnel effect.
Johnny, Fisherman is somewhat of a legend in the RCT3 community and one of his trademarks is that he doesn't use music in most of his attractions. He may have subtle musical cues here and there in certain scenes, but generally he weaves a tapestry of sound fx throughout his attractions. I think the effect is much more immersive, imo.
Thanks! I'm updating the ride now...still not including a music soundtrack...but i'll probably add some of the cool new creepy violin effects the developers put in the update.
