I love watching the scenery. The furniture, the buildings, neighborhood and state where they're filming at that time.

Film isn't even active yet, but I already love the cover frame-grab photo - you gotta love the cine techs they had in those days! Visual/mood aesthetic out the wazoo. Lighting, wardrobe, direction/scene-planning, and cinematography had an _awesome_ synergy going.

_Hi, my dearest Helen! Wow! More one great mistery movie from the past, released 88 years ago! It seems tô me a Véry good one, with much action and mistery, as well as a Véry amazing plot! I really don't know the actors or even the director, even só it seems tô be a masterpiece of filmaking! The opening few minutes gives me a headache. In my L.E. career, I headed up a 17 man undercover narcotics squad, and had to do a quarterly "evaluation" of each agent's performance via individual meetings. Once my report was turned in to the Capt, I then had to listen to the objections of those who rec'd unfavorable ratings. That job put me onto drink!

yes, something about that hat/her look..... body language experts have plenty to work with here. Hope man on the right of the frame is keeping his sentences short and factual as lady looks like a human lie detector.
