I finally found this on you tube. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I watch that episode over and over just to hear it. It's nice to be able to hear it in full when i want to!!
I'm going to have this playing at my funeral. It is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. Well done Jim Parker you have over excelled here. I hope they have music like this in heaven.
4/7/2022 Today is my estranged Mother's memorial service. Mom, I am listening to this for you today. Despite our earthly relationship, may we move forward in healing, forgiveness and love in the next life and/or on the other side. I love you mom. Lois Michele
The last scene , for me, is where the music is at its best. Barnaby's entrance, during the music, intensifies the drama as he talks to Melody Thorpe. The victim, the killer and the law. The music for me represents the best of what I think of as, England.
Yes, I AGREE with you. Midsummer Rhapsody was played BEST in that sequel. I LOVED ❤❤ the violins and the piano playing. I would love to hear that rendition to be played on here also. ❤❤ 3:09
Very moving piece of music, absolutely beautiful. I watched this show several times just to hear the music. Thank you for posting it here. Mr. Parker deserves all the awards he has received. Wonderful.
Jim Parker has to be one of my favourite modern day composers. This along with his Agnus Dei have to be two of the most moving pieces ever written but also his ability to compose in a variety of styles is truly amazing. He handles solemn or whimsical with passion and I don't feel enough recognition is given to this amazing man.
I'm on my third time watching all of the seasons of Midsomer Murders on Netflix. Just finished watching Midsomer Rhapsody and as usual, I was really moved by the music. I decided to get more information about the music-Midsomer Rhapsody and found it here on RU-vid. The music is so beautiful and very moving. I want to add that this is a wonderful piece of music written by Jim Parker. Thank you Mr. Parker for creating Midsomer Rhapsody that brings me much joy to hear and enjoy.
I have listened to beautiful music for most of my 70 odd years.Thankyou Mr Parker for creating this heart breaking masterpiece. As one of the commentaters stated "it makes me want to cry." It goes straight to your heart and conjures up the memories of the people and pets you loved most deeply in your life. I wish you all the very best and you have my gratitude Larry Schneider
What is it about this piece of music? When I listen to it, I too think of all the people and animals I have loved. And I sob. The final scene in the episode is just too beautiful and the little old man, now with his family after all those years , oh his face. Just too sad and beautiful.
Wow! I can't believe it; I Googled this piece of music and here it is; a real piece and so beautiful and on RU-vid. How I love the Internet. I just finished watching the Midsomer Murders episode with this exquisite music and am glad I found it here. Thank you.
@@maxcollisions138 It's a fabulous piece of music. Most of us discovered it by Watching Midsomer Murders on British TV. 😊 And for me the search began to find the song which took awhile but thanks to the internet was found and can now "loop" it over and over while I work in my home office. It's just a glorious sound. Thank you!
I have commented on this piece before, but to my mind it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard, and at the rwedding eception to hear the duet was a real tear jerker. I can and do listen to it on a very regular basis.
Thank you for this beautiful visual of Jim Parker's "Rhapsody." I too have been delighted to find this music from one of the best episodes of "Midsomer." I'm searching for a cd or some way to have a copy for the car. Thank you madalena!
+tab lloyd ...It was issued on a CD of music from Midsomer Murders. There are actually several collections that have been made over the years. I think it is out of print however.
I loved that episode. Just had to find the music from Season 8 Episode 8 (I think) of Midsomer Murders. I knew it was too good not to be available somewhere. Thank you so much.
Absolutely one of the most beautiful selections I have ever heard. Love the idea of having it for a funeral selection I watch this episode often to hear this music and because I truly love this episode... especially like Hedge!
Thank you so much! Yesterday I saw that episode for the first time and was very delighted with that piece and so disappointed, Shazam couldn´t find it. I´m so happy finding it here!
I am so grateful that you posted this music! Every time I watch this episode, I am so moved. It's simply gorgeous. Tonight I decided I had to find out who wrote it and where I could find it. Now I know the answer! Thank you.
Hi Robert, My Nan would love the piano sheet music for this song. May I ask where you were able to buy it from? I've been desperately trying to find it for her on the internet.
Thankyou for posting this exquisite piece of music. I first heard it many, many years ago in Midsummer Murders and for some reason tonight in 2021 I remembered it. The photography is glorious. Thankyou.
Thank you for uploading this! I, like many others, just watched the excellent episode and immediately went looking for this piece after the wedding duet scene.
La volví a escuchar, esta vez mirando el video, y te digo que la imagen del perro blanco esperando me hizo llorar. Gracias de nuevo, Magdalena. Saludos.
I love this song. I just watched the show for about the 10th time. Actually, I listen to this music when I feel an anxiety episode coming on. If I concentrate hard enough, it'll stop and go away. Lots of anxiety right now for many reasons. Such a lovely melody.
It comes from the episode "Midsomer Rhapsody" in the crime mysteries series "Midsomer Murders", and is played several times during the episode, very beautifully at the end. It is number 43, occurs in series 8 from 2005, and can be bought on dvd. Jim Parker has written quite a lot of film music, I believe, including the theme in the series "Foyle's war".
