No. If your clothes are going to incur any damage, it's from the wash/rinse cycles as they are getting tossed about. In the spin cycle, the clothes are under a high load, but they are more or less "static" is that they aren't really moving around in relation the the rotating drum. High speeds are fine as long as you have a washer capable of making sure the load is balanced first.

No deberias de haber cojido la toalla para hacer que se balanceara la maquina ,si quieres centrifugar la toalla deja la toalla todo el rato en el tambor y dejala que centrifugue correctamente.Otra cosa 1400 rpm para una sola toalla me parece mucho yo cuando he tenido que escurrir solamente una cosa le programado 400 rpm y centrifuga muy bien.Saludos
Hi Mielefan, I am trying to get the front and sides off a W540 to change the bearing. (it spins up OK with no load or very light load but with heavy unbalance it crashes) I have removed all the screws I can find (top is off, front skirt is off, but the front is not coming off and the sides seem to be fixed behind the front) Any suggestions? Thanks
