UFC women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate stops by to help Team Claudia ahead of the first semifinal matchup between Amanda Cooper and Lanchana Green.
@lightfromdarkness - Scared to defend her belt? What the hell is she doing at UFC 200 then? Champions don't pick challengers, UFC does. Are u an MMA fan or u just hate Tate and blinded by hatred. As an MMA fan, I want to see fresh fights. UFC got it right. Nunes should be next. Tate already finished Holm and that's over and done with for now. By your "logic", if Tate is scared, Lawler is too because he's not rematching Condit and fighting Woodley, am I right? He didn't even finish Condit. U see what I mean? Don't be selective and childish with your judgements. We are all adults here.... or are we?
LightFromDarkness Jessica Eye fought Tate for 3 ROUNDS and yet she landed around the same amount of significant strikes on Tate as Holm did in 5 ROUNDS! Mcmann & ZIngano hurt & damaged Tate a lot more than in 3Rs than Holm ever did in 5 Rs and she ouclassed Miesha? If Miesha got Holm don but wasn't able to submit Holm in 5th the fight would've been a draw. Holm would've kept the belt if it's a draw but that's not outclassing. U say Miesha looked surprised when she won and that's your argument that she might not be expecting to win? What? Her reaction was basically no different than when Conor beat Aldo, Nate beat Conor, Ronda beat Mcmann etc etc and u say I'm thinking with my dick? Who knows, Miesha could very well lose her next fight but to say she was outclassed by Holm when the most dominating round was Miesha's and she put Holm to sleep is ridiculous. There's no controversy whatsoever with the win unlike Lawler vs Condit. But never mind, it's obvious that u hate Tate. I just realized it's s useless to argue about this. I lose and u win then. Cheers!!!
RMJerich0 it just proves how peoples opinion will always be biased. its a weird thing. once u chose who u like or hate 99% of people will stick with it instead of ajusting their opinion based on new facts. she obviously has more class than rounda if u cant even see that then theres no fukin way to reason with u. its also the same phenomenal that made trump win. new shits come up and make u think '"hell this time hes done people are gonna see hes all bs'" then no because those who chose to like him dont change their mind
MIESHA TATE (CUPCAKE) had some good advice for doing takedowns. Going for a takedown then using a face punch to get the opponent to stand upright is very smart. JOANNA J today has a great takedown defense with her leg-body sprawls. JJ also holds the takedown attempter's head down. I wonder what MIESHA would advise for those two counter moves?
If I saw someone hit that underhook lateral drop thing in a fight I would be on my feet. That was slick. 1:48 no idea what to call that because I can't think of a similar TD in any grappling sport.
Not trying to shit on Misha but as a former wrestler, it's funny seeing how people laud this as some advanced technique when it's pretty common and basic around wrestlers to tap and go.
Barão lost to a guy that was the champ till like yesterday then he fought on a higher weight class to test the watters and he was great but got tired rather fast, wich can happen when you are trying to transition from a lowe weight to a higher one. In Batanweight his only 2 defeats ar to Dillashaw and if he decides to remain on Featherweight I don't see his next fights going as his first one went, he knows how it feels now and will wokr on his cardio.
***** Fair enough. It think it's a wasted opportunity though. They've done it before with Okami on Chaels season. They couldn't spend a minute just introducing the ex champ?
I like Miesha Tate, as a fighter. She's not bad and usually gives her opponents a good tun for thwir money, win or lose. But I didn't like her attitude after she won the bantam weight title. She was slowly (but surely) becoming a Ronda Rousey #2. Her head was getting over inflated, massively. And she talked a lot about herself. In every interview, every guest appearance on a talk show, morning show, late show, etc. it was always *"ME! ME! ME! ME! ME!!"* Sure, she deserved some bragging rights. After all, she'd just beat the UFC wbw champion, Holly Holm. But she should've known when to quit. She was way too full of herself, and still is. Oh, by the way, where the fuck did her nickname *"CUPCAKE"* come from? That's a little odd for a ufc fighter isn't it??
WOW. 00:00 - 00:11 I was looking away from the screen. I thought for sure IT WAS A MAN talking. It turns out, just Claudia. Although I think she is a man, now, hormonally. Bone and body structure all altered and jaw squared off. Probably hasn't had her period in years. Claudia is juiced to the gills. I f----n hate cheaters in sports. Dopers in combat sports, though- they take the cake. It's a special combo of cowardice and sociopathy. What a joke "her" career is. Take away the long hair style and feminine clothing and you have a dude. #F2M transition complete.
