Hey Brandon, Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving day. I just ordered a couple of the YesWelder on your video to keep on our mobile welding rigs instead of of beating the heck out of our Lincoln multiprocess welders we keep on our trucks. Used your link, and got 20% off black friday discount, $352.00 each delivered. Thanks Brother!

After watching a few of your videos, I feel very much on the same page as you. I purchased the Yeswelder 200a migwelder, (Australian 240v version) due to wanting something I could easily through in the car for on site work. It was super cheap so my expectations were not high. First time I used it the supply earth wire to the mains melted due to a bad insulation at the wire feed causing it to earth through the bench and back to the power outlet instead of the earth clamp. The after sales service I got was unexpectedly great and they really look after their customers. I have since purchased one for one of my work places and my colleagues have purchased the same welder on my recommendation and been amazed at how good of a welder it is. It is my go to welder now for anything 6mm and smaller. I was advised to use the mag setting for the gas I use as it is supposed to be active, ( 2.75% Oxygen, 16% Carbon Dioxide in Argon). I used it on the Mig setting when I first got it and it seemed to work OK on that as well. I am using the .9mm and .8mm wires. I also have the evolution cold saw and absolutely love it but have have made the mistake of having something move in the vice which will cost you a saw tooth. Thanks for the great channel. Subscribed

I'm glad you liked the scammer call. I just had a viewer leave a comment berating me that I was disrespecting the caller for "trying to make a living" and I should start a new channel if that is how I am going to act. He said he was going to subscribe but decided against it. Needless to say I'm crushed 🤣🤣🤣 I think he was the guy that keeps calling me about my expired warranty...

@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 года назад
No not everything is purchased with my own money. Some products are given to me for free (such as the Harbor Frieight welder that was donated by a channel fan). However, 99% of the things you see me using on the channel come directly from viewer requests purchased through revenue generated by the channel. On the rare occasions I receive something for free, I let the viewers know and it doesnt change my opinion. You mentioned level of credibility....this manufacture wished they never contacted me ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aCpMaeuzqHs.html 😎

Good one Brandon. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving 👌🏻👌🏻 Those welders with the fan on continuously are annoying. Didn't realise until I used a machine with a thermal cut-off on it. Would be a cheap add on by YES and make the machine even more appealing. Great little project. 👍🏻👍🏻 😂😂Looks like you need to build another cart. 👍🏻👍🏻
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 года назад
Thanks Basil I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving also! I totally agree, the cost would be minimal but it's really nice not hearing the fan. I'm probably spoiled because it was never really an issue until I got my Fronius because all my other machines work this way too but the Fronius just sits there quietly even when I'm welding and occasionally the fan will turn on for a few seconds then turn off again.

Brandon, MAG is metal active gas. MIG is metal inert gas.

Awesome video! When you are doing vertical welds, I think you went top to bottom...is that correct?
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 года назад
Thanks man! The 1st weld I went vertical up but from that point forward I think I went vertical down for a lot of it. For decorative non structural welds I do a lot of vertical down because it's a bit faster and generally yields a better looking weld because your not fighting gravity like vertical up.

Morning Brandon, 👍 great setup video. As I previously mentioned, just purchased the same unit also. I messaged Yeswelder concerning shielding gas related to the Tig and Solid wire Mig. They said I should use 75Argon/25co2 % blend for the wire and 99.9% Argon for Tig specifically. My budget won't allow two different gas purchases. I'd like to use one gas for both functions eventually. What is your take/ opinion on this? Thanks for your reply and wisdom. Cheers 🍻, G.
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 года назад
Unfortunately one gas won't work for both. The short answer of why you can't use C-25 gas with TIG but you can with MIG is that C-25 gas will oxidize your tungsten and make a nasty weld. You want pure argon for TIG. A work around could be get a tank of Argon for TIG then run flux core for your mig. If your in the United States, check with Matheson gas. They might surprise you how much it costs to get setup with both gasses. That's who I use.

Watching you muck around calculating the material thickness I just had at laugh at how the U.S. still use the imperial measuring system 🤦 just use metric like the rest of the world 😂
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 года назад
LOL I do agree that the metric system is pretty easy to navigate. I have a serious question though because I find myself converting imperial to metric and I really dont know the answer because it always ends up being a fraction. So if a conversion comes out to 10.66mm do you call it? Should I round up to 11mm? Also, at what point do I stop refering to mm and go to cm? 1000mm = 10-0cm It probably sounds silly me asking this but im genuinely curious. Thanks @Dave Marriott
@Sparky_D
@Sparky_D 2 года назад
@@BrandonLund I guess it depends on how accurate you want to be, rounding down by 0.66 or up by 0.34mm. Obviously for the rest of us this isn't a problem because we work in metric units from the start, so no need to convert and then deal with decimals. We would just use whole number mm from the start. For upscaling, generally trades with stick with mm unless it's many metres. We don't use cm, only some people who generally aren't trade related.
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 года назад
@@Sparky_D Thanks man I appreciate it! You cleared a lot up for me. I'm curious why we don't use the metric system. Maybe someday. I work on bikes a lot on the side and they are all metric. I like the simplicity of it all and because it's all in 10's so it's pretty easy to do the math. subtracting 3/16 from 19/64ths not so much lol This would be the "mucking around" you refered to 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks again buddy I appricate your support and the quick reply 👍👍
