I'm in a daze and can't recall when and where he said what, but you may have heard him mention that if he does make a video, it will be for Seven Sins, and he might consider some lyric videos for the other songs that are new. I hope Ren gets some rest or at least stress relief, but it's been been great having him all over his platforms every day recently.
I am purchasing the CD on Amazon. This is my first listen to Sick Boi 2. The first Sick Boi was genius;--hard beat and amazing lyrics. This seems like Ren flexing and trying different styles. I need to find the lyrics to this one. Cool stuff. I think if this were like 30 minutes to an hour long, I would put it on as white noise on a lower volume and just mellow out while I work. But it has to have Ren lyrics throughout.
The good news is the journey will continue … he’s been hard at work on the next album. He and Sam have already filmed some videos for the next album when they went up to Banff. I love the Sick Boi album but I can’t wait for the next one which will be his singer, songwriter, piano, guitar, rock / pop side.
I'm curious, did Ren say what the actual effect was that people thought was auto tune? I thought that's what it was, too. Mind you, i felt he was using it as a sonic element in service to the song, not because he's pitchy.
@@zack_reacts oh, so it was in regards to the MG3 track? I was thinking he meant he had never used it at all. I think there's auto tune in "Lost All Faith", but definitely not in MG3. Thanks for the insight.
Autotune is a great tool imo that can add to a track when used well. The issue is when it's used as a crutch for lack of singing skill, which obviously doesn't apply to Ren
Would like to see you react to some other good uk rappers like Taskforce / Chester P / Mudfam, there's a lot of good, intelligent, rappers that you're missing out on.
