If you ever come to Georgia, we've got to get together and talk trucks. Btw, has anyone ever told you that you sound a lot like Mike Rowe ? Keep up the good work.
Greatest compliment ever! I love that guy. I think everyone does! I've never been east of Colorado but I'll extend the same invite. Vegas bound? Hit me up! Thank you!
It’s definitely hit and miss in Vegas. There’s a lot of parts that you can certainly save some money on and others would almost be cheaper buying new or reman.
Good logic on the build.. use oem. Keep a parts book with the car.. so years down the road.. you will know which brake pads fit. I converted some of my car to other oem parts. 15 years later I can't remember what they were from. Hahaaa
I feel you. As I was building my first truck I was using used parts because that’s what I had, not for the sake of easy maintenance. But I wasn’t recording what I got from what until halfway through the build. So many of the parts are indeed a mystery. 🤷♂️
Omg please these videos are sooo good! I want to see this entire build!!! I have a 89 but swapping everything from a 1g I even did sears center console and steering wheel. I’m down to a turbo set up and buying a evo intake then starting it. Can’t wait to see more!
I promise! As long as I'm able, I'll film and post every last detail of the build. I think you've got the right idea. Swapping everything seems like a lot less work and much cleaner then trying to make Eclipse stuff and truck stuff coexist. I'd love to see it! Thank you! See you in the next one.
Nice! How’s the quality? I might need a couple of those soon. If it were mine it probably wouldn’t have air. My Wife said A/C isn’t an option. Yes Ma’am! 🫡
It is a 7 bolt. 1998. Narrow. I'll be pushing the engine as far forward as possible in an attempt to avoid modifying the firewall. So I think I need the front sump. I'll be installing the Eclipse A/C unit and a flat firewall would be really helpful.
I missed the first part of the question! I don't know where to put the intercooler just yet. I'll likely be installing a larger one but I won't know the location until I have it in hand. I'm hoping behind the bumper and valance but we'll see.
Only downside is not much air flow unless your start cutting stuff out. Need that stillen front bumper. I did see a guy on fb making kits tho. Angles!!!!!!
I watched the new video this morning, and that got me going back and re-binge-watching the Mighty Max playlist. Just noticed this video wasn't in it. I can't believe it's been over 3 years!
Where have RIV-NUTZ, been all my life . Hell -yeah , that trick is definitely one of my fabrication must-do’s. … just a thought…. I think it would be cool to put that bump in the hood eclipses have to kinda hint what you have under the hood . Mighty max w/ an eclipse engine and hood bump would be dope . Seriously appreciate the suspension video classes . Also, you should do a shop tour video and Q and A . Like what’s the M on your hat for starters , lol.
A lot of good fabrication can be done by flying by the seat of your pants! Ian Rousel does that all of the time with his so called envisioning tools! LOL.
I need to know more about this person. That sounds absolutely brilliant. The best I have to compete is my term grayprints; Things I design in my head that never see paper.
@@GarageFab he's a low budget kind of guy, he just wing's it most of the time. Full Custom Garage I think it is, he just works by himself most of the time.
Again, well done Man Kandie! Intently watching this build. I'll echo Grant, if you ever make it to GA you have a garage you can fab at here. Next time I come out to visit @Rad_Richie I would love to stop by and see this thing. WELL DONE SIR! If you see the Ginger tell him I said FTG!
I’d love to... except I pulled that motor and sent it to the junkyard. 😔 The intake manifold on on the Eclipse motor I'm using will be significantly different.
Funny you said that because pepboys is closing all retail store locations nation wide, just keeping the service side open. So you couldn't get that radiator there again in the future lol.
I’ve read that the 4G63 is a direct bolt-up to the Mighty Max transmission using the flywheel from the Eclipse engine and the clutch disc from the Truck. I can’t confirm because I haven’t gotten that far yet but I will certainly do videos about it when I get there.
Mankandie Kreations is undergoing a name change as we speak. (Well... A spelling change anyway) A soon as you see the change on a video hit me up and I'll send you one. 👍
