You can tell this ad was made years ago, since they show flip phones.

They need to bring more Billy Mays ads back onto the air. A new generation needs to be shouted at in order to find solutions for their problems!

I can tell it’s a rerun of one of Billy Mays ads complete with Gen Z era (2000s) graphics. He was a YTP meme fame fad who has passed away already in the last 2000s year. I’ve actually seen it during Underdog on launch day on MeTV Toons according to the commercial break.

For viewers coming to this upload wondering why we are witnessing this commercial present in the current era with some relevant editing and pricing updates, the producers of Mighty Putty are airing the Mighty Mendit commercial throughout all of Fiscal Year 2024 to celebrate the Fifteenth Anniversary of the product with the blessing of Billy Mays' estate, the official website for Mighty Putty still uses his personality as a means to keep his impact alive and I'm certain that everybody is happy to witness it in action again from all ends. The increased price to 029.99$ USD ultimately required some new lines to be recorded and injected, as has been mentioned in the comments section via Revolutions by Tyler J.; in theory, the source material of the original ad from Fiscal Year 2009 could've been used along with a clip of Billy saying the changed value, but barring the existence of Generative AI model sample audio I don't think that there is much authentic footage with that specific number that would've matched his vocal template at that time and would line up with the sound mixing without it sounding obvious unless it was handled by a very delicate hand, the compromise here then was to film a new voiceover from scratch and thus this edition of the promotion was born, I do believe that we will witness more Commemorative Promotionals featuring Billy's sessions as many of the products near Twenty, 025, and Thirty Years (note that OxiClean is presently 027; its Thirtieth Anniversary is in 2027) and to witness Anthony Sullivan and others pay tribute to those sessions' original script and handling truly shows how close everybody in the Pitchman side of the Yellow Collar industry truly has become over time. This is not the exact same commercial as was broadcast in the 00s. They put in a new phone number and copyright date, and it is now $29.99 nstead of $19.99, which is why they edited the part starting at 1:26.

This is possibly a rerun on commercial breaks since it was probably from the late 2000s or early 2010s

Billy Mays died in 2009.

So they did bring it back?! Saw this come on a couple of weekends ago and thought it was an accident.

How did Billy Mays' estate approve of this?
