From Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, here is the Mighty Morphin Megazord! This is Hasbro's new Dino Megazord. I got mine on Walmart's website, you can also find it at Target, BBTS, Amazon should have it eventually as well. This is Hasbro's "Child proof" version of the Megazord. Lightweight to prevent injury. Remove stickers that would come off over extended play secessions anyway. Light parts that fly off can snap back into place. Structural moving parts not falling apart that you need adult's help....Still expensive but I would like to see Takara collaboration version down the line

Takara can't collab with Power Rangers, unfortunately. Takara has a thing against advertising their competitors, like Bandai. That's actually why Jetfire's cartoon equivalent, Skyfire, is basically a different character in the G1 era.

I love the return of Big Pimpin' Titanus. I'm honestly surprised by the idea that people think the Megazord is good for the price, though. It definitely seems solid but it comes with a bunch of trade-offs that I don't love.

If anything this should be $24-$29 and $29 is pushing it. I do like it, and gave mine the chrome sword from the legacy red SDCC figure and it works. But I have not been impressed by Hasbro’s handling of zords. They have not nailed down the quality and price ratio.

MMPRtoys Me either, and separating it into three packs tells me they weren’t confident in the $50 price tag as a whole. Though I know a complete one is coming, I know the three pack pricing feels like an easier pill to swallow vs if I saw this all together for $50.

Inflation, and keeping it sellable to the average customer. The value of your money went down by a lot,everything's shrinking or upcharged as a result. Power Rangers collectors are not getting that into their heads, when Transformers collectors got that down and will spend way more in third party products. Power Rangers has a long way to go to realize this, and we need much more testing/QC fixing. I'd expect more pricing whiplash reactions for a while.

I'm tired of people excusing Hasbro all the time for their cost-cutting. Brian Goldner, the CEO, admitted they're going to have to do things to cut costs, and pass it on the consumer if need be. It was on the front page of TFW2005 months and months ago. They're moving away from window boxes and cards to cut costs and be more "environmentally friendly" (they don't give a crap about the environment, they're going to cut costs, period) I like Hasbro's stuff, in general, I do, but how much are we going to excuse? Let's use Transformers for a moment, since they were brought up. Micromasters? $10 for 2. Legends? $10 for 1. Both of those will be completely gone and replaced with Core Class. Kingdom Rattrap, for example. (If you haven't seen him, yet, search for it on here.) It's been said he may command a price of $15! He's not $15.00 worth, at all. He's barely worth the $10.00! What started with their Siege line (which was solid and dense and painted really well) has hollowed out, shrunk, and milks the dollar for all it's worth. They'll do the same to Power Rangers. It's already nearly impossible for people to complete the Beast Morphers Ultrazord (and yes, the Amazon exclusive exists, but you'd be surprised how many people *DON'T* know about that!) and Walmart won't carry them (you can find one of their stores pretty much anywhere), and Target only carried 3 of the 5! Now, this one comes in 3s and it's $50.00... That's unfair to the kids and their parents. If you're going to rip us off, at least make them accessible. I don't hate Hasbro, I don't hate Power Rangers, but I hate the way they're handling it right now. Articulation or no, this is not worth $50.00. Sorry, but no. Inflation? Only to a certain extent.

Both the beast morphers and this megazord are making me nostalgic for the bandai days. Dino Charge was the peak of their zord line, and while ninia steel wasn't perfect in terms of zords, the Blaze Megazord was basically perfect for 34.99

You are right, Dino charge line was awesome except for the titano zord, ninja steel I didn't even bother to look for them, blaze megazord was good but never saw it in my area, megaforce and smf were pretty bad imo and for samurai was pretty decent for me

@@standup109 It wasn't as bad as people said it was, but it also could have been a little better. The dino mode torso could have at least been a little thicker, to make it more proportional. But I definitely liked the overall sculpt and the fact that it didn't have two big chucks of plastic hanging off of it for the Ultrazord like Bragigas did. After adding some gold and red paint, it's really good.

There were some seriously bizarre changes to get certain zords out (makin' *bikes* outta the Knight Brothers and selling Grandion alone as a tank, makin' odd lookin' lawnmower thingies outta the Wonder Headders and selling Bird/Jet alone, removing the actual Miracle Headders from Goseiultimate and replacing it with a lame command center mode, grouping the Skick/Landick/Seaick Brothers in cool jetsleds) and to work around the fact we didn't have Datas/Datas Hyper (again, those jetsleds, and having the Hyper Change Headder stuck on a lame repaint of the Sealeon bike). But for what they had to work with, it wasn't bad. Now Super Megaforce, that zord line was a complete disgrace. Legendary Megazord, okay, fine. Q-Rex, okay, fine. Turbo Falcon, yeah, sure, cool. Despite the shrinkage and the whole Zordbuilder System compatible redesign that neutered some stuff, Bandai wasn't gonna screw up the main three components of the Ultrazord. It's the add-on critters where Bandai really shot themselves in the nuts. Titan Dragon & Delta Runner 1 weren't too bad, but then came the Lion Wildzord...the big bad mofo folks looked forward to for the Legendary Megazord Samurai mode...and it was TRASH...Lion mode was okay, but the combined Samurai Megazord mode looked like tree branches and crap. They completely botched it compared to how Shinken Gokaioh was implemented. (It's SO bad that, if one still had the actual Samurai Megazord from a couple years prior, one was better off just using the arms & legs from that instead, thanks to the Zordbuilder System enabling all kinds of wild cross-compatibility!!) Other add-ons after the Lion were pretty crappy as well.

You are 100% correct, Bruno. $50 is still a lot of money. I think a problem at large these days, and especially with the collecting community, is that debt has been normalized. Everyone’s so ready to just start piling on top of their existing credit card bills for toys. Collecting is supposed to be a fun hobby. Something you do with your disposable income. But far too many collectors have lost perspective in that regard. They’ve forgotten that’s it OK to say “no” sometimes. Thanks for the honest review!

I just got mine at walmart for about 39 dollars. I really like it! I never owned any dino megazords, and I like how it scales pretty well with other megazords since I display mine all together on shelfs. Only things I'd change is to put stickers/paint on the sides of the mastodon head, and a little more posability in the legs so he can bend his knees downward.

Eh...? I guess that's a compliment if you're implying there's show footage in this video...? I added film grain and diffuser to give it that old TV look, but these are the Hasbro toys. (Hasbro evidently is pretty bad about claiming images/video people use from the show, but that was never something we did either way)

I basically wish we had Bandai Japan toy grade, with Hasbro's articulation of these. Hasbro feels so... meh for the megazords so far, but the lightning collection is far superior to the Legacy figure line. Wish we had a middle ground of the two companies. Hasbro on the figures and articulation in general, and Bandai on the zords and quality control. But alas, thanks capitalism for this dream that will never be.

I think the reason people are saying it's good for the price is because it's the cheapest OG Megazord we've had in a while. So if you want an original Megazord that's roughly in scale with other zords "it's not bad for the price." Especially with Legacy going from $160 to over $500. Hell even the 2010 Megazord is going for over 50 these days. *Edit I still think 50 bucks is high for something like this, but I under stand why people are okay with the price

Excellent animation as always, and much appreciated that you go through the effort to make your videos stand out I'm not collecting zords anymore but I am not a fan of selling the zords individually. Feels like all the "cooler" looking zords would get bought up first and be harder to find if you missed out, meanwhile the others would just warm on the shelf. Having said that, this will probably be the case for Dino Fury. Hasbro can get away with releasing the T Rex zord since that's a robot in and of itself, while almost everything else is basically an add on. I wonder though how well the T Rex will sell compared to the other dinos

Well I can certainly appreciate finally having some actual articulation on a "standard retail" Megazord - however the lack of paint and stickers is complete nonsense and looks totally unfinished. I have not seen this in Canada yet so I can't comment on the Price . I suppose lots of potential here for those out there who enjoy making customs and it's nice to see some sticker sets out there . If I did not have SOC I would have considered this and done some custom work. Let's hope this is just a "Kids" version and when Hasbro is ready to give us "Lightning Collection" Zords they will will give us a better product.

How is $50 cheap for this? I know this is hasbro and they've had problems with the whole costs of plastics in the last few years but this is getting into bandai Japan pricing. You could get a figureart for the price of this or a Japanese mecha/megazord. Bruno, you do make good points about it being good for animation/stop motion projects but the lack of paint out of the boxs just doesn't make it worth the price. I'd be perfectly fine painting it myself but there are still those who are scared to death to try customizing, that's another point that can be saved for later. To get back on topic.this toy is not worth the price of all three components together. If it had nice paint out of the box it'd be fine but no it presents itself as a kit that needs a modeler/customizers TLC.

Way I see it, the DERPbro stuff is what you keep out for, as an example, your younger cousins, nieces, nephews, siblings, or children, want to have something to play with as it's built cheaply and is relatively easy to fix.

The added articulation is nice, but I feel like the cheaper plastic and lack of detailing should have helped keep the price around the average $25-30. Would love to know their thought process on this one.

I had the 1993 Ban Dai Megazord when I was a kid. It was the best Mighty Morphin Power Rangers toys made when the show first premiered in 1993.

i think this zord shows what direction the company is taking this brand. my biggest gripe with Bandai's repurchase of the toy line was that it wanted to change the toys, but in the wrong direction. the easiest comparison is Dino charge and kyoruger. i was really excited to see them use the electronic gimmick from the sentai, as I thought it was a super fun kids gimmick, but they didn't. i think the reason bandai was failing in the power rangers toy line is because they weren't evolving enough. the thing that's cool about the sentai toys is that, almost every season so far, has had an electronic feature to make up for the lack of possability. Kids want to play with toys, and from a parents stand point(and a teens) this is you question: why by a $30 brick that does nothing but have a cheap piece of plastic attach that ultimately does nothing unless you by the changer when you can buy a $30 transformer that transforms into a cool weird vehicle(sometimes two) comes with engaging accessories, articulation like a regular action figure, and works well with other gimmicks with not only its own line, but previous and future ones as well? yes zordbuilder allows you to make big stupid things, but its allot cooler when its actually in universe. my point is, although the megazord doesn't have as much paint or stickers than megazords of the past, it is already 10x more playable than the original. besides, we can paint it ourselves with it being a blank canvas to customize. I am excited to see what engineering advancements are put into new series and if they continue this line i would want a articulated ninja megazord and hyper articulated ninjor. As the Transformers community has been seeing, this megazord is just and affordable version of the high end Soul of Chogokan megazord.

Eh...? Bandai never repurchased Power Rangers...? 1993 - 2018, no break. They made the toys for Saban, for Disney, and Saban again. They never went anywhere until the switch to Hasbro.

I think the reason that people are saying that the price is good is because while it doesn't look as good as the older megazords it does more than stand neutrally and look pretty, which if we wanted something like that beforehand all we had was the soul of chogokin. Plus if we bring transformers into this I would assume the megazord is the equivalent of a leader class figure which last time I looked go for around 50 so if you look at it like that the price is somewhat reasonable

Yes, you are paying for convenience. You can always do your own "thing" for customization levels later.

Welcome to Hasbro cost cutting measures. First get used to outside mushroom clips vs. metal screws or pins. You'll see the outside mushroom peg on the arms of the red dinozord. You lucked out that they were extended from black plastic vs. some other color. Also it's light because Hasbro LOVES to hollow out plastic. The tail of the red dinozord is hollowed out. The legs of the sabertooth tiger dinozord are hollowed out. Trust me as a Transformers fan your Megazords will become hollowed out obvious cost cutting figures.

50 Bucks seems like a lot, but Transformers fans paid rough 85 bucks for a 5 bot combiner 5-6 years ago, and they were roughly '93 megazord sized.

I don't think it's worth 50 dollars. However as someone who does not own a Dino Megazord (the secondary market prices are crazy)... This version of the Megazord is the most affordable right now.

It's expensive and missing knees. If it had more paint/stickers and knees, I'd be happy with that price. But as it stands, they should have gone with ~ $30 total. At max. The waist/arm articulation is definitely an improvement over past releases. But if the mini-pla can have knees(and ankles) why can't this have knees at least? Also, you left out the link to the bd15 stickers.

The ONE advantage I see with this thing is that you don't have to pay $50 all at once. Like, say you're a kid, and you want the Megazord for your birthday, you could have your family get you the Tyrannosaurus, and other family or friends could get you the other ones for a decent enough price on their own. I imagine that's Hasbro's logic here. Though I'm not sure I'll ever get inflation sometimes. Like, remember 2009, when you could get the fully detailed and articulated Toy Story Collection Buzz Lightyear for $50? Fast forward 10 years later, in 2019, the Collection Buzz is $99, while Amazon has an exclusive Buzz Lightyear that has less articulation and features than the original 1995 Buzz(legit, this release didn't even have a functioning laser), and THAT was $50! Like, what happened there?

As a transformers fan I'm really amazed that Hasbro didn't make use of the Combiner Wars peg they created. It would make a lot of sense because you'd immediately add a lot of play value to the figure

When the Legacy Megazord is released here in the Philippines, If I am not mistaken, it was around P5,000-6,000 PHP which if you convert to USD it is around $100USD-120USD. It is very expensive here in the Philippines. Also, the Legacy Thunder Megazord, it was retailed around 10,000 PHP- 15,000 PHP ($200USD-$300USD) if I am not mistaken and that's a lot of money. I am so eager to get one myself but I have no money at the time for I am only a high school student and that kind of money is almost the same as my tuition fee so I feel bad about that. Now that I can afford to purchase one, the availability is impossible and the price is doubled, HAHA I wish I had the money at that time to purchase one. Hasbro released a lower quality version last 2020 and the price is not reasonable at first time it was released. For 1 pack of zord it cost 1000 PHP ($20USD) which is 3000PHP ($60USD) for the whole set. But now, I purchased it for half the price, 1 set for only 1400 PHP ($28USD) and I think it is a great buy! my son loves it and most of all I feel like I am 10 years old again. HAHA in fact I am the one that opened the package even though it was intended to be a birthday gift for my son. I do love it. The Hasbro Megazord is not a bad Megazord in my opinion. Coming from a non collector, it is a great buy. It brings nostalgia. I can't complain with the price I paid however there is still a lot more to improve for the product specially the hollowness and the lack of stickers. I have contacted a local dealer hear in the philippines for a decal set which cost 250PHP ($5USD), I think it is almost the same as BD 15 decals and it does bring out the best in the megazord. It is now detailed with the sticker set.

If you were able to get Megazords throughout the years at $25, You're so lucky...I live in New Hampshire and since MMPR, they've been $39.99 up here, and changes to $34.99 with Samurai until now

If the ports were bigger, slightly bigger, then I would be having more fun with this thing than I would normally have been. All Hasbro needs to do is bring back Zord builder, put the level of possibility that they put into this, and I basically just have the perfect Megazord.

Great video as always. What kills it for me is all the empty spaces in the Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon Trunk, and other areas. For the price, Hasbro could have used better molds. If I bought this (still not sure i will) I would have to putty all of those areas and repaint it. I have enough projects at the moment.

I managed to get each pack of Zords at Walmart for 12.93 each so around 37 dollars! I’ve always wanted a Dino megazord and couldn’t justify spending hundreds on a different one. But for 37 dollars I love it

My Walmart was fully stocked with all the sets yesterday, so I picked one up at $13/set, so $40ish with tax. It's fun to mess around with. I may sticker or customize it on a rainy day. Seems like they could gone for the $25/set range and added some more details. People would've bought it.

I'd say people are with you on not digging the price: it's rather amazing that a $40 Leader Class Transformers figure from 2011 has more plastic and parts PLUS lights, sounds and firing missiles compared to a current $76 Commander Class figure. The constant shrinking of toys with the rising of prices is getting out of hand.

I bought my Legacy Green Ranger Morpher for I believe 69 bucks when it came out. That was made of diecast, was an upgrade of an item we never got over here and it had lights and sounds that includes the full theme song. While I appreciate the articulation, it isn't worth 50 bucks. I would consider buying it considering that I don't own an MMPR Megazord but I would have buyers remorse.

still waiting for this to hit stores in Canada. Toys R Us "say" they will be getting it, but can never really give a release date. I was surprised when they actually have Dragon Daggers in stock two weeks ago. But non the less I am excited to add it to my very small Zord collection that is only 4 Funko Pop Zords 2 x MMPR MegaZord, White Tigerzord & Dino Ultrazord), and 3 MMPR The Movie Loyal Subject Zords (Black/Gold Chase Sabertooth Tiger, Triceratops and T-Rex). Mainly because it will be my first Zord that's buildable. Great video as always Bruno!

In my opinion they are selling it in a sense that if you want to buy the zord of your favorite ranger you can do so and combining them is just an option which makes the price that expensive

To be honest, after really hating the ZAP Megazord, I found this one to be pretty great, especially once I got the BD15 stickers to add the missing details. It's more show accurate and poseable/displayable than 1993/Legacy, but also closer feeling to the classic toys than ZAP (and I think I'm also just nostalgic for a zord that looks and feels like a toy!), it doesn't break the bank like SOC, and the combination/transformation is quick and fun unlike ZAP or SOC. If they had included stickers with it I'd say this was the one to get. It's a shame you have to fork out for (and put up with the problems of) ZAP if you want a Dragonzord combo.

It would be a lot better if it had more paint apps, and/or stickers. Maybe reprolabels/toyhax will come out with a sticker sheet for him. I also wish it had wheels for the tank mode and triceratops zord.

I have this Megazord for about almost a month, and I actually took the liberty to color the Zords with ZIG paint markers. The Mastodon is always a challenge to open up, but it should be easier after the 1st try. Judging from the hinge on the Tyrannosaurus' back, I have a feeling that Hasbro might produce their version of the Dragonzord in the near future. Hopefully with a shorter tail.

It looks like it scales with a current Leader Class Transformers figure which goes for the same price, so it fits into Hasbro pricing conventions. I don’t have the new Megazord, so I don’t know how it feels, but compared to Transformers of a similar size by the same company, the price makes sense.

I agree that $50 seems a bit much for the size, but the fact that has so many more joints means the part count is significantly higher. That means the production molds have to be larger and more detailed. That's where all the cost is coming from. The Legacy version used an existing mold, so it was a little cheaper compared to if it had an entirely new mold.
