This is a great retelling, giving the background stories of the zords and so on more substance, incorporating more useful material from the Sentai source. And the part where Baboo is an exile from the ancient civilization, was fabulous. The original storyline only featured him as some inferior space being sucking up to Rita. That said, in the Sentai original, he was a vampire with a craving for a little girl's blood. Maybe that could be incorporated as well?
I mean it's an early 90s saban show, so I doubt there would've been much in the way of character development or cohesive storytelling, but it is fun to consider potential alternate storylines.
Mmpr was a product of its time they weren't concerned with storytelling it was just focused on being a silly kids show and selling as much toys as possible
I think I was thinking about this subject the other day. MMPR and how when I watch it today it don't feel the same. It doesn't feel like quality TV like it did when I was a kid. One thing I thought about that would have probably made it better would have been the rangers being treated more like individuals. Having their own individual strength rather than as a team all the time. I think every monster was defeated with a team attack. That's how later teams were treated. As individuals. That and better acting probably would have made it better maybe. Better storytelling of teenage adolescence maybe. I don't know. I'd probably have to rewatch more episodes to know for sure what it needs.
I kind of like how you’ve basically combined the original series, the comics, and the sentai footage, all in the one reimagined series of PR. I wonder what turbo reimagined will be like.
Hey Hunter awesome job buddy I also love the power weapons arc and the Taming the Dinozords storyline was really great and the six Power crystals were a great addition and everything else was Morphinominal and I’m definitely gonna be using these ideas. Brother. Can’t wait for season two and three and onwards .

How to fix Saban's Masked Rider: rip out all the "localization" and reshoot it as an adaptation of the original story. Don't try to make it Power Rangers, because Kamen Rider isn't Super Sentai.

@@hunterkiller1440 Though ngl, the hallucinations bring more depth to Tommy because it shows that being under Rita traumatized the poor kid, and ties-in very well to his inner demons. That and the fact that Tommy isn't sure if he truly fits in.

Good use of zyuranger plot to fix mmpr. I watched zyuranger the first time this February. I had a similar idea for a video after seeing it. I would have given baboo a small bit of trying to turn people into vampires like in zyuranger maybe that could be why he would collect artifacts for your story?

I hate when content creators with no show writing experience say how they would "fix" a show or movie. And their fix is just their people pleasing fan fiction
I think he meant in the overall story arc of the season which in this season was mostly about Tommy arriving, then him losing his powers the first time then having him return.

Certainly after Mighty Morphin i expected there to be a 6th ranger for every new team Apart from the episodes you mentioned as well as the first episode. "Green with Evil parts 1 to 5(Episodes 17 to 21)" "The Green Candle parts 1 and 2(Episodes 34 and 35) and "Return of an old friend parts 1 and 2(Episodes 49 and 50). The other 50 episodes of season 1 alone are ALL episodic. Season 1 didn't even have a season finale.
@@markcruz359 I was referring to in hindsight sure neither 2 seasons of MMPR had an finalie per say but to be honest other then the formation of the team and how they got their weapons and later zords and Doomsday, the season was as I said mostly focused on Tommy and ultimately Continued to be the case into season 2.
@@stephenholloway6893 im confused was what i said originally wrong? I mean if he's going to call one episode filler he might as well call them all filler. I feel like sometimes this word "filler" is being misused. In anime filler episodes usually have no plot or they vere so far away. An example of a filler episode might be the Christmas episode in Zeo. Or an episode filled with scenes from previous episodes in the form of flashbacks.
@Mark Cruz Sure every episode had monster of the week and the flashback episodes could be considered filler but again most of the monsters the rangers fought, an one off weapon, an one off reference ect, just seemed to just use to pad the episode count of the overall season. Which ultimately I think was his point. Back then we didn't know how the series played out so we could assume every episode mattered but now, with some exceptions the pre Tommy era hardly gets talked about with very few exceptions.
I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of this reimagining and the reason being is because the Boom Studios exist. They give the characters especially Bulk and Skull the character growth needed. Heck They aren’t even bullies in the story they are basically amateur news reporters in full support of the power rangers. Again sorry but that’s how I feel.
