Looks like a decent beat 'em up, though it feels like a reskinned version of the first MMPR game on NES. No Megazord battles also hurt it. It seems to have almost nothing to do with the movie aside from Ivan Ooze being the final boss. Ultimately, the MMPR movie game on the Genesis was better. You actually get to play through parts of the movie as well as specific episodes from the show, there are levels where you fight as the Thunder Megazord and Ninja Megazord, and the game does a solid job of incorporating songs from the show besides the MMPR theme like "We Need A Hero" and "Go White Ranger".
Thanks for the comment. I really don't remember a movie with this game arc. However, this game really left a mark on my childhood. and at the first opportunity I recorded it and replayed it again
Also you only have a grand total of nine hits before you're down. And that's if you don't morph as soon as you can and save it for that point. Genesis is a solid challenge without a small health bar.
