You have to look at the slow motion version of that KO to fully appreciate just how freaking coordinated DJ is. He took less than a second to pinpoint his chin as it was moving and then sent that knee like a heat seeking missile. Absolute masterclass.
My dude the execution is so flawless and beautiful. Its hard to believe it wasnt scripted damn mouse is god level when it comes to combat but sadly he doesnt get the same recognisation as he deserved.
DJ is the complete fighter. There's nobody as complete as him. The only thing keeping him from being number one on earth is his size. Which is insane to think about. If he was 6ft or 6'6 with those skills we wouldn't see anyone coming close to his skills for decades.
What I love about dj’s knee was that it wouldn’t been legal with UFC rules too, other guy was on his feet the entire time up until the KO, I feel bad for not knowing his name I know he good but I don’t watch much one championship
DJ is a wizard of MMA. I don't think any other fighter reached a higher level in all disciplines of MMA. If he had the same accomplishments and career two divisions up there would be no goat debate..
You have to remember: DJ had a whole arsenal of moves to finish off that guy. But you can see in the clip the EXACT moment he paused everything and purposefully returned to sender the knee to that guy’s skull. Planned and executed to perfection. Story book ending
