Omega Supreme is in my own personal opinion one of most awesome transformers ever created and he's as much a value asset to the Autobots as are both Metroplex and Fortress Maximus!
One of my favorite Transformer Episode involved Omega Supreme and Autobot Jazz! On a far away planet freeing some alien race from the Decepticons!! Omega Supreme was also the first motorized, battery powered and self walking Transformer toy even though he did exist before the Transformer line was created.
Omega Supreme may be powerful but calling him the autobots last line of defense is a stretch. Metroplex could take on Omega Supreme. Omega's intentional mission was to guard Iacon, and the gateway to Cybertron's core. Omega was built for combat, heavily armed but he isnt invicible
In the original G1 cartoon, Omega Supreme's debut appearance was in season 2 episode "Blaster Blues" replacing Skyfire as an Autobot transport. His only guest appearance was in season 3 episode "The Big Broadcast Of 2006" and lastly mentioned by IQ Grimlock in "Grimlock's New Brain".
It would be awesome to see Omega Supreme as well as any of the Titans in live action! I would love to see Metroplex and/or Fortress Maximus transform out of nowhere to give hell to the Decepticons!!!
All the execs over at universal studios have to do is watch the cutscenes in both the War and Fall of Cybertron video games as a ground work for a live action movie.
Omega Supreme - very underused in both animation and comics. His back story in the 80s US Marvel comic was mich more convincing than the one given to him in series 2 of the 80s animation, which featured the Constructicons as having been his friend's on Cybertron, even though series of the same cartoon, showed the Decepticons had created the Constructicons on earth (in the episode 'Heavy Metal Wars'). I think the writers could have done a better job there.
G1 theory: The robosmasher incident occurred while Prime was still Orion. Omega Supreme was the primary goal for Megatron, who had essentially converted the contructicons to be used as bait. When the plot failed and Omega on a rampage obsessed with the C-cons Megatron banished the C-Cons to lure Omega away least he team up with the Autobot resistance. Stranded on Earth with his forces extremely dwindled , and worried that Prime might finally overcome his misgivings and share technology with humanity to create that much feared Diaclone Army (a fear Megatron had inherited from his mentor the exiled Fallen), Megatron contacted the C-cons, who incorrectly assured him they had finally given Omega the slip. Obviously this was not the case and Omega followed them. However….. By this point Omega had reluctantly acknowledge Prime’s authority and gruffly bowed to his command. He also agreed with prime that Cybertronian technology sharing with the humans should be limited so he agreed to accept the role of Guardian once again. With such a defender at his side, plus the ability use him as a transport vessel to bring in various refugee groups of autobots that show up in season 2 , Project Diaclone is quietly abandoned and instead only select humans are chosen by both Prime and the human government to work alongside the autobots and have direct access to Cybertronian Tech Edit Project Diaclone would have seen various autobots (and a few captured decepticons) being scanned and duplicate versions of them being made and used as battle suits for humans…. Because these Diaclones lacked a Cybertronian spark they were somewhat underpowered compared their host forms. Furthermore the human /bot interface was not perfect so there was an additional performance lag
i Alway's wanted omega supreme as a kid in the 80's but i never got him not even for christmas. back in the 80's i was in a thrift store & i saw just the body of omega supreme for $3 so i ask my mom for the money.. she didn't have the $3 saddest day of my life
A shame Omega Supreme hasn´t return propperly to the animated media, he only had a brief cameo in Siege and in IDW he was just killed in the most stupid way
My favorite Transformer I remember having the original release toy when I was a kid & was pissed he didn't have a face like the cartoon 😥 I think the later releases had a face added 🤔
And sorry, but G2 storylines ret-conned G1 all over the place. G1 established the constructicons were built by the earth-stranded decepticons. In their TV debut in G1 back in the eighties, megatron himself said: "They were worth the time we spent building them in these caverns..."
I've always wondered how the rest of him gets to his destination. Literally, his arm is the rocket and thats it. If the rest telepoets, wby doesn't the rest of him just telepoet as well?
What's in a robo smasher it was a reprogramming robot that the try to use Omega supreme guarded the Crystal City which the constructicons built and they ended up destroying in the end you know if you're going to talk about turquoise cartoon series make sure you actually watch
1:23 "Omegatron" where in the actual fresh fuck did you get this from? You literally made that up. Omega Supreme has NEVER been called that in anything, ever.
I hate the fact that omega's size changed constantly in the animated series.. from being almost the size of Optimus, to being as long as a small mountain. Pretty stupid imo and shows lack of consistency from the animators.
He was always much bigger than Optimus and Megatron, although exactly how much bigger was inconsistent. He was also always shown as being between 15-30% bigger than the combiners like Davastator, etc.
He was the last of the Guardian robots. He stood at 18 meters tall in G1 and his size has varied since then but he has never been a titan. Metroplex stood at 800 meters in G1 for reference.
Omega Supreme was a base, not a city size. Metroplex, Trypticon, Scorponok, and Fortress Maximus were characters that were city size. In the comics though Fort Max and Scorponok in robot form were about the size of Megatron and Optimus Prime.
Omega was my favorite of all time, 2nd was Metroplex. As beautiful as the battle for Cybertron was, the look of Omega was disappointing, and that there was no incarnation of him in the Bay movies was bitterly disappointing.
@@donald61398 He said that the fact that Omega wasn’t in the Bay movies was disappointing. Of course, there were a whole lot of disappointing things in those movies!
