Shadow or the Beatles. Shadow wins hands down. A mighty entertainer. I was an English sailor in the caribbean for 14 years. Never missed european music
The Mighty Shadow is should be considered as one of the greatest calypsonion of all times. His style is very unique & his lyrics are very direct. I lova his music.
OLD YEAR'S NIGHT (2020) will make this performance 21yrs. old. Recorded at Shaw Park, Tobago. The Shadow, on stage, during the Millennium 'Ringbang' Concert. Lord Kutcher's last live performance occurred on the said stage, same night. May both men's souls rest in peace. The world is a richer place for their musical contributions to mankind.

"What is Music?" This is one the best lyrics ever penned by a Caribbean artiste, its very philosophical and yes the music accompanying him is so well orchestrated, kudos Winston "Shadow" Bailey

This brings back so many memories of my entire family on a boat ride in New York for Labor Day. The DJ kept playing this song over and over because people were going crazy. Nothing like partying with a Trini. Thank you for posting this.

Easily the best Ode to the influence and impact of music on societies of the ages. He was truly the philosopher king of calypso /soca music. RIP master.
Since I was a little boy I always taken a likeness to his music because his style in was strange and different on his lyrics always based on something pertinent alive I am happy before he died he wins some titles because in his early years he struggled I'm getting robbed in many competitions
