**UPDATE JANUARY 2024 **
The are changes to the way that MigrationWiz creates projects.
Definitely check out this video - • Updates to Modern Auth... - to see those new updates.
***********************************************************************************************
Here I take you through a migration of an M365 Email account to another M365 Email account in a different tenant. So basically an M365 Tenant to Tenant Migration.
I configure both the source tenant and the target tenant with everything needed for the migration, then use the MigrationWiz console to perform the migration itself.
I look after;
Application Registration in the Source / Target for ModernAuth
Application Impersonation settings on Source / Target tenants
Setup necessary Service Accounts
Setup of the MigrationWiz Project
Full Migration shown
Basically it's a full end to end view of a migration.
Please remember to subscribe to the channel.

Superb guide. Thank you VERY much for making this. Subscribed and liked the video. Quick question: can you perform a full migration multiple times with the same user or does that cause redundant mailbox data?
@thecloudgeezer
@thecloudgeezer Год назад
Absolutely. Run the full migration a few times and it will just pick up the delta. No duplicates will occur. Standard MigWiz licenses allow you to run a full migration 10 times per account. Thanks for subscribing, have a good weekend. Mark.

Hi, Thanks for the video. You are using the "Migration Bundle" license. Does it automatically migrate OneDrive documents or do you have to do another project? Thanks for your answer
@thecloudgeezer
@thecloudgeezer Месяц назад
You do need to setup a different project, but the licensing will automatically apply when the system sees the UPN matching from the other projects. Mark.

Hi, i really liked yhe video--it was very detailed! Even someone like me, with limiter exoerience, can now perform migration. I truly appreciate your time and dedication. I have a question about the migration process. Is it possible to move only the folder to another mailbox , with its content ? I did not see that option mentioned in the video.
@thecloudgeezer
@thecloudgeezer 2 месяца назад
Yes you certainly can. And thank you for the kind feedback too. What you do is go into the advanced options in the project and your can specify the 'regex' query (examples are there) on how to limit a migration of a mailbox to just particular folders. If you have any issues the drop me a note to mark@thecloudgeezer.com and I can help out.

Thanks Mark. Very help to prepare for my upcoming migration. Do you have similar Demonstration for SharePoint, MS Teams, 1Drive, PublicFolder?

Awesome content but I have a question - am I required to create the accounts on the destination tenant first before migrating the mailboxes? I'd appreciate the response at your earliest convenience and thanks in advance!

Hi. Thanks for the comment, glad you like the content. In answer to your question, yes you will need to have the accounts provisioned, licensed, with active mailboxes (empty) before you start the migration process of bringing data over. Mark.

Have you done one with the native migration tools in 365?
@thecloudgeezer
@thecloudgeezer 13 дней назад
Yes, a while back, but here is the link...... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V7xaiKN1qNo.html It is a little old but still relevant with the tools today. Remember that it is no longer free, as Microsoft now charge for these licenses to migrate.

Hello, After exploring options for native tools on mail and teams migrations cross tenant in MS365, sems both you and BitTitan will save a lot of trouble using MigrationWiz rather than sweating with manual process of migration 🙂 Just wandering though with a critical question on both teams migration and mail migration cros tenant using MigrationWiz: 1) Post mail migration of mails from one tenant to another on a "single test user" as a POC, will that user still be able to use old email in old domin if the MX records are not changed. This is for scenarios in case something goes wrong and I want to abort whole migration. I do not want to delete/disable/deactive the old domain since all other users will be usign the old domain. 2) Same for teams migration : Does the entire teams channel move to new tenant or can I simply do that for one test user(who is migrated earlier) and the others can access same teams channel from the old domain.

Hi. Thanks for the question there. What I can tell you is that the MX records handle inbound email. SPF/DKIM/DMARC are for the outbound, so basically the answer is Yes they can continue, but be aware that if they are in the new tenant they can send, but any inbound email will hit the old account in the old tenant. Therefore you would want to put a forwarder on the old account pointing to the 'onmicrosoft.com' alias on the new tenant. For Teams that is a bit more complicated, but they won't be able to see the old tenant directly, you would need to either add them in as a guest account with their 'alias' in the new tenant. Drop me an email to mark@thecloudgeezer.com if you want to discuss your particular scenario in more detail and we can chat. Mark.

Hi Julie. I do have the MX cutover as part of most of the migration sets. Let me know what particular scenario you had, Gsuite to M365, or M365 T2T, etc., and I can point you in the right direction. Feel free to email me at mark@thecloudgeezer.com for any additional advise you need. Mark.

Hi. Those are actually just messages rather than errors. However, the way that endpoints are setup has just changed. Have a look at this video and it takes you through everything. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kT2tUheERBY.html
