Here is me keeping the promise I made a while back. We look at a few steps involved in migrating to Australia as a nurse from Kenya through New Zealand. Your patience will be needed for this process but you're up for it.

Hi cate, so are you saying if you apply direct to Australia you will have to do the NCLEX and Exam I'm a registered nurse in the UK am practice nurse to be precise. Do you have any options?

This process is just for Kenyan nurses in the UK who are NOT UK citizens. For all UK citizens the process is different. Back to your question. Yes you can apply directly and depending on your citizenship status you may do the outcome based process which includes an NCLEX exam

Hi Catherine, I just passed my OSCE and just got my pin recently here in the UK. I am a registered Nurse in the Philippines and currently going a transition in my Trust from Band 3 to Band 5. I have 3 years experience in the Philippines which is 2013-2016. Would I be able to successfully gain the NZRN status given my work experience? PS: I am a Dependant Visa holder. Thank you very much!

If you intend to work in NZ, the process will end when you get the NZ registration and get your annual practice license. There is no need to apply for Australian recognition
