After the prisoner, what happened to migs mayfeld? Bill Burr did a great job and helped the character find a new hope
with a little help from din djarin, cara dune and fennec shand
Migs Mayfeld has some serious regrets about his past. In The Mandalorian, Migs (Bill Burr) is introduced as a world-weary, rebellious type in the episode, The Prisoner. It appears as if he may be a one-note character but in his return episode, the believer, Migs shows that he, like a Transformer, is more than meets the eye. As it turns out, he was at Burnin Konn as a field operative during the Imperial operation called Cinder, the vengeance order of the emperor, in which several worlds were destroyed and many innocent lives were lost. Having participated in the atrocities, Migs has been carrying around the guilt and anger ever since--was it instant regret? Maybe not but now he has to look his past straight in the eye to see what is truly there--and what is inside him.
Will Migs show up in more star wars news? Will this character show up in the book of boba fett or is mayfeld coming back for season 3? I can’t say for sure but I would like to think so, considering how beloved this character has become. He was a former imperial and now, in season 1 and season 2, we found him on the other side of the status quo. It’s going to be an interesting journey but what happens when the empire strikes back? They don’t like to lose after all.

Adam, you make great videos I think you deserve to have more subscribers. I know your channel isn't all that old, so that's part of it. This one should do well since it's about the Mandolorian which is new and popular. Thats probably part of what you have to do,, but I like when ypu talk about older less know movies, but th a s probablynot how you get. A lot of views... I want your channel to grow, but not at the expense of ruining the channel catering to the lowest common denominator. I'd say just keep doing what your doing, amd the channel will grow. The cream usually rises to the top. Good luck man, Mark

Thanks, Mark. I prefer to stay away from current stuff, so I don’t think it’s going to be a trend. I usually just go with intuition when picking a subject, so that won’t rule out more contemporary stuff but it won’t completely rule it out either. Thank you for sticking with me and for sharing your thoughts. I’ve taken them to heart.

Yay new video!! So relevant for now times 😭 the hard part is I’ll never really know what the best decision is . Sometimes I feel like I’m walking around with a blanket over my head 😂 idk if this is getting off topic. The thing is you can’t change the past so is it worth making yourself feel awful about? I think a cool part of migs is the fact you know he can be a monster so to speak, it makes it much more moral for him to choose the right thing. Like it makes it way more meaningful that he choose right. Bill burr did a great job! I was watching hot boxing and bill burr was talking about being angry in his personal life so maybe he channeled it for this role! Loved all the inserts 😂😂

I heard a clip from Burr’s podcast where he was responding to someone asking him how he was able to portray a damaged war vet so well and he said, “I relate to pain.” Maybe he was tapping into some kind of universal truth, that you carry some things around whether you want to or not. I think you’re right that letting yourself feel awful about things you can’t change will just make you nuts but it can be hard to prevent. I think I get the blanket over your head metaphor though lol. Sometimes you just don’t know (figuratively blind) what the best thing to do is, so you have to take your best guess. Such is life, right?

I love the mayfeld character!, and Bill Burr did an excellent job, he added a dimension of relatability and likability. I think mayfeld regretted the decisions in his past because he wasn’t true to himself in a way (not sure in what way), but I feel like he has to figure out who he is to himself like he’s trying on different clothes. I think we regret things we didn’t do or did when they are lies within ourselves, Like the action or lack of didn’t fit in with our character. Who we are is implicit and our lives have the explicit instances of the implicit idea of our character ( don’t know if that made sense ) and when these instances don’t fit with the implicit there is a misunderstanding there. I think regret comes from not being true to ourselves and I think that it’s a teacher of who we really are. Hopefully that made some sense :0 Great Video as always!!

It does make sense lol. That was a good way to put it. I agree, being true to yourself, or rather not being true, is where that miscommunication happens. Something we do or fail to do goes against our core value system and the image we have of ourselves. Maybe in Mig’s case he was young and idealistic when participated in those acts. He hadn’t yet looked behind the curtain to see what was really going on with the empire that he joined. Taking a stand against something that large takes a lot of courage. Wrong or right, you could be ostracized. But fitting in should be low on the list when it comes to your own view on morality…if that made sense lol

@@EverydayTapeYeah feel like he is jaded by life, like he would rather be sarcastic than cope with his own decisions that he made in the past. I think he probably joined the empire thinking it was a east way to get prestige and security and wanted to be guided by the hand instead of thinking for himself. With great freedom comes great responsibility (Uncle Ben if he was telling Peter to quit the empire) and I think that this lesson applies to everyone if anything to a smaller scale. Hopefully there will be more mayfeld episodes in the future.

I came back looking for your channel cuz i remember ur video on spiderman and i remember it was so gud that it blew up. But now it's sad to see that the videos r not gaining any views for sm reason... I'm not an expert but i wud like to give sm kind of feedback my dude.. 1. One of the reasons Spiderman video was found bcoz it is a popular topic...i came searching for it. So maybe make videos on hot topics in ur point of view till u gain an audience...n after u gain audience u can make wtever u like...till then u hv to find a balance between wt the audience wants to see n u want to make video abt too. 2. the thumbnails can be better. 3. There needs to be a hook...like in the spiderman video, u talked abt a particular point which u highlighted all over the video and y it was important. The video doesn't hv to sound like a general conversation but maybe need a hook which holds the attention for as long as the video is...that is engagement. Tell me y i need to stay till the video ends. 4. Surely needs a catchy caption.. which can make me click the video maybe. If the thumbnail n caption r not gud, i will not click on the video. 5. First 10 sec r important, make sure the person watching knows y he needs to stay till the end. 6. Also good videos have highs n lows. You need to knw at wt time ur audience will start losing interest in the video.. When it gets low, you need to add sm kind of visual que like a video clip related to it or images or sounds which brings back the attention, to the high. 7. Maybe another video on spiderman, regarding other aspects or scenes which you saw differently or were important. Now wt i hv seen around the internet which r hot topics - 1. Flash cw series, madvocate and g.i gio videos 2. No way home, again spiderman related my dude 3. Maybe u can make a video abt contrast on peter n mj's relationships in sam raimi spiderman and the recent one ..and that which is better in real life. Smthing like that

Hello, Stonewick! Thank you so much for taking the time to give me some detailed feedback. I don't look at view counts, or likes, or analytics, so the only way I know if someone has watched a video is if they comment on it. I know I might be shooting myself in the foot by not looking into numbers and analytics but I just don't like that system. I found that it made making videos feel very clinical and uninspired, so I vowed to stay from all that. But that being said, I do appreciate the value of that data represents and that it is available to me if I choose to look in to it. All of your suggestions are very good and very reasonable. I think I can apply some of them, like thumbnail design and "a hook," to other videos I may make in the future. Grabbing attention and holding attention is very important in any medium and I would like to improve there. I have thought to make videos on subjects that are more topical, like the current Spider-Man movie for example, but I usually hit a brick wall, as I have no passion for it and actually, I haven't even seen any of those new spider-man movies. Truth be told, I don't have a desire to and when I try to tackle something I don't have an interest in (like other trending topics), it really shows. So I try to stick to the idea of making videos on subjects that I would want to watch myself. I know this won't translate into a lot of views but, at least, I will enjoy making it. My hope is that maybe it will mean something to someone, somewhere. Thanks again, Stonewick. I hope to see you again in the comment section.
