Seeing a Warrior like Cotto exact his revenge on that poor excuse of a fighter Margarito was one of the best matches of retribution I've ever seen. Cotto is a true fighter.
It should be pointed out that these guys agreed on wearing 8 oz gloves the first time they fought. Nevada requires 10 oz. gloves for 135lbs. fighter and above. But 135 lbs. - 147 lbs. fighters have the option of using the 8 oz gloves as long as both parties agree to it. Illegal handwraps or not, getting hit with an 8 oz glove by either of these guys is going to do some serious damage.
This is going to be one hell of a fight. They've clearly painted who the good guy and who the bad guy will be. But what makes this interesting is that the bad guy (Margarito) can win this fight. I'm personally going for Cotto all the way, but there is no certainty in his victory. I think Cotto is much more skilled and approaches the fight game much more intelligently. But Margarito is a savage beast. Can't wait.

I very much doubt that margacheato had never worn the wraps until the mosely fight, the guilt is written all over his face and he gets on the defensive straight away when cotto pulls out the iPad and provides visual proof that his gloves were loaded
Im a great fan of both fighters.... Margarito unfortunately will carry that stigma for the rest of his career. But i go the the boxing gym as an amateur and i can tell you a gauze doesnt break like that. Now it could be when they are trying to cut it up after the fight... possible.... but again you dont cut up hand wraps from the Knuckles, you cut the from the inside so I fully see Cotto's point. this is gonna be war i can feel it.
I think the second fight being stopped by the doctor kinda ruined Cotto's victory. it was getting heated, margarito was picking up steam but he was taking some wicked shots to that eye so it had to be stopped. Cotto should consider retiring, I would love to see him fight more but he's not his prime.

If the fight wasn't stopped Cotto would of got knocked out again. He was running from Margarito. Regardless of the handwraps Margarito was all over Cotto

Boina Verde Cotto was scared that If he fought like a man he'd have to quit once again, he had to target an injury minus the pre-existing injury of Margarito eye he'd have finished that fight, it was the only way Cotto stood a chance.
I'm not sure Margarito used wraps against Cotto. Even though Cotto was outlanding him early in the fight, Margarito was pushing Cotto back, getting through with shots of his own, and just making Cotto work hard and fight Margarito's fight. Illegal wraps don't help you do that. In the Mosley fight, Margarito was not able to push Mosley back or really get through with many punches. Mosley was able to tie him up, which Cotto did not do. That was the biggest difference between those two fights, IMO

Educate yourself on what you are talking about before speaking. Bodybuilders need to avoid fluid retention to look as lean as possible - so why is steroid usage amongst bodybuilders so rife? seeing as how they 'bloat you with water retention'? Pride is not all about winning and giving all you got to win. Accepting defeat wont tarnish your pride, its strengthen your reputation as a good sportsman. margarito was starting to clock cotto in the later rounds of there last fight but luckily for cotto the ref stopped the fight because of margaritos eye
