I love that line but when you think about it it doesnt really make sense haha but all respect to big L him and Biggie were both 24.. so sad who knows how they would have changed the world.
savinin He’s ahead of his time. Meaning he’s from the future. His parents haven’t met yet. Perfect sense. Get wreck on any cassette deck so ahead of my time my parents haven’t met yet
This beat is amazing and will always be legendary to underground Hip Hop heads, bc of the Big L Jay Z freestyle which was IMO the most legendary Hip Hop freestyle session ever... L brought Jay to the studio, at the time Jay was about to blow but L really helped put him on (no pun intended). To bad L got murdered... I can only imagine how dope the future collabs between Jay and L would've been!!!
@@SoundsbyIvoryYes he did. L put Jay on with this freestyle ('95) where he brought him to the studio to record AND put Jay on his debut album "Lifestylez ov da Poor and Dangerous" on a song called "Da Graveyard". This album dropped in '95, a year before Jay's debut album "Reasonable Doubt" dropped in '96 so yes, L did put him on
One of THEE BEST Hip-Hop beats of the 90's, & of ALL-TIME. Period. Fuck all thoughts, opinions, & their entire existence. This is how RAW east coast Hip-Hop, should sound.
One of the dopest things about this beat is you can rhyme fast or slow at any moment and it doesn't sound weird... this was not just a good beat but a great arrangement and timing of sounds in the right place.
This was and always be Miilkbone's beat. He was to Jersey and the East Coast what Eminem was to the world later. And do not get it twisted, Eminem got the most love from Jersey! Peace to the Outsidaz who had Em living in Jersey. Gotta know your history before making stupid comments on a culture that birthed many. New Jeruz!
As a truck driver this really touches me, the repetitive beats only serve to reflect my monotonous life on the road. Quite frankly I think it's beautiful driving down the national roads pontificating my life in more than one way; gasping for respite in my oxymoronic life. Quaint and elemental in my incendiray ways.
Mec si je suis élancé tu flippes, Si je sors un album tu vas dépenser du fric, J'gratte et je développe des pensées multiples, C'est quand j'ai du spleen que je peux dépenser du style Jazzy Bazz
R.I.P MAC MILLER “I know you got to feel this, I’m on some real shit!!” Y’all never heard of the ‘100,000 bars’ ? If not ,go check it out shit is straight fire!
I love how in music you can easily find your taste from sound. Heard this a decade ago anyone must know themselves very much more than they think when they come back to the same sound and like it!!!
I remember the first time hearing the classic freestyle over this and thinking, "damn Jigga got down..."next thing I know Big L straight decapitates the beat and sets the bar for dope freestyling to a whole new level! L's verses were so perfect and hit so hard, that after I immediately rewound the track I'm thinking "ok Hov's verse was cute" haha cuz then I knew what L was gonna do. To this day nothing can touch his verses. Only thing close is Black Thought's freestyle imo. R.I.P. BIG L
Brick City representing! Lov this joint when it came it and still rockin it. To all my Jersey heads from then to eternity. RIP to all my brothaz. Iron Bound WILSON AVE n beyond Springfield ave to Irvington NJ
One of the best instrumentals...I just discovered it last night and please excuse my ignorance I had no idea had classic this beat is. This is one of my favorites along with J. Dilla's "Stakes Is High" and DJ Premier "Mass Appeal", true 90's Hip Hop at its finest
I’m so ahead of my time, my parents haven’t met yet - Big L This shit is swell I rock the heavens well, if they don’t give me heaven I’ll raise hell.. till it’s heaven - Jay Z
If you had to pick one beat to represent the 90's underground scene... man it'd be hard to beat this one... It's right up there with T.R.O.Y. as one of the best ever.
Such a beautiful piece, heroin to the ears, main. I hear this shit and think of the many ways I wish I could slice it, spit on it like the court homie. This track ballin, Chris Rivers brought me here, Logic did aight, and Com kills everything.
I know you gotta feel this I'm on some real shit, I'm on some real shit, I'm on some real shit I know you gotta feel this I'm on some real shit, I'm on some real shit, I'm on some real shit [Verse:] Pull the hoodie down And take a look around Sounds that shook a town Man it feel good to smile So I shouldn't frown When the night is looking down Mirror, mirror on the wall Who's the smoothest crook around? It's all good bro, you entertainment for tonight Like I'm a be mad? You hatin' cause I'm white Do a lot a cryin' and leave pain out on the mic Because overall I'm iller than you all Y'all pussy Never ever gone for it all You scared of a little risky coaching call What happened?
