Opeth has received massive critical acclaim for their combination of progressive influences and annihilating Swedish death metal. These coloured 140g re-issues are a must for fans and collectors alike, having experienced a loving re-master by none-other than Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Amorphis, Sepultura), with guidance from Mikael Åkerfeldt.
The records have been cut at half-speed at the infamous Abbey Rd studios by Miles Showell (ABBA, Beatles), and all artwork carefully restored by Dan Capp; designed the way the band originally intended them to be.

I love all Opeth records, however “My Arms, Your Hearse” is forever my favorite. It just immediately beckons you into some dark, distant forest of metal. It’s a fucking masterpiece. Pure musical transport. 🖤

@@TheJML1975 I don’t own it but I have owned the original vinyl pressing, which wasn’t great and I have the last reissue LP they did of it and it’s great. Much better transfer. I have an early CD of it too and it never disappoints. I certainly hope they reissue all 3 via Abbey Road series. I’ll certainly support it. They’re excellent records. Beautifully written esoteric forest metal! 🖤

My Arms Your Hearse was my very first Opeth purchase back in, I believe, 1999. And it changed my life, my playing and my writing. Massively influential and formative record for me. It also delivered me from some rough moments, though I associate it with the best of times in my life, along with Still Life and Blackwater Park.

MAYH put them on the launch pad to record and release Still Life, to me the most achieved piece of art of the band. The emotions, so many emotions and darkness.

@@Thyberien yeah i change it from time to time. My arms your hearse is my favorite. Blackwater park, sorceress, Damnation and Morningrise all grew on me big time. They will never surpass MAYH. It’s funny because I love still life and thought it was my favorite but then, as time went on I was just amazed by my arms your hearse. It just has these moments of absolute bliss and it rolls from one track to the other so smoothly. I feel like my soul is attached to that album. I love Opeth so much. All their albums I love and I don’t differentiate between them, but if I had to pick only one that I could listen to forever, it’s my arms your hearse.

My Arms, Your Hearse , Damnation and Watershed are my favourite Opeth albums. I've listened to My Arms, Your Hearse a lot during coronavirus. Its artwork fits the music perfectly and it gives me a majestic, haunting vibe I'm getting by listening albums like Black Sabbath and Gothic by Paradise Lost in a more extreme level. Especially, the songs April Ethereal, When, Demon of the Fall and Credence are diamonds.

*Don't want to be a pretentious fan but I REALLY love Orchid, Morningrise and MAYH cause of how beautiful the riffs are* *The “Thin Lizzy” aspect of harmony guitars is so beautiful man, I know they shifted to more of a heavier sound but the outro in ‘Epilogue’ is such a melancholic melodic masterpiece* *the whole album is❤❤❤*
