Fights like a wolf even when he's dying, has a variety of weapons, appears stoic and near-emotionless, angered when people he cares about gets hurt, loses mobility to half his body but still fights anyways, has two girls falling for him and he fights to the death even against an overwhelming force. Also prefers close combat fighting despite having ranged weaponry. This boy is Gundam's Geralt of Rivia. I can see why now.
I am not. But it’s my feeling that one does not need to be from a particular country to enjoy mashing different media’s together. I don’t feel like some things are mutually exclusive. But that’s just me
this song is the really, truly represents the gundam of the tekkadan, barbatos the bearded duke of hell itself a powerful demon, the lupus, the white hunter of the cold winters and merciless against those who apose it, Rex, king of all none shall have thy crown of the bottomless pit Mikazuki Augus the crescent moon of japan who watches over those love and repect him and destroyes who ever defies him...truly this song represents them
With these warriors and their brothers in Tekkadan standing among the ranks of the Einjerjar at Ragnarok, Asgard may just have a chance of winning the battle.
I would argue plenty of gundam pilots are a lethal as him, but few are truly as ruthless and that is where he stands out, the only one equally as ruthless is the first pilot in Gundam age when he is an old man.
@@nediojon749 well who can blame him when someone not only kidnapped a girl he loved, but used them to pilot a mobile suit against him, and then proceeds to *die* taking the fatal blow. Part of me wishes Flit was the one to kill Desil instead of Asemu, but to be honest, seeing Asemu do it was satisfying because he was not an X Rounder, which makes it all the more humiliating to lose against Asemu than Flit.
@@anwenlokier2292then don’t pop into the comment thread you muppet, it’s like blaming the people who put mines into a field when there was a bright red sign warning you 💀
given that Barbatos is the name of one of the Dukes of Hell. It only makes sense to say that the Gundam that bares his name should be no less than a Devil given a physical form.
One thing I really liked about mikazuki and barbatos is that they where always straight to the point and head first into action no cryptic nonsense no talk of peace and understanding no trying to not kill their enemies and the whole humanity's future b.s. it was simple mess with my friends and family and you're going to get your ass handed to you I also appreciated his loyalty and honesty
if you see the episode where Mikazuki dies you can actually hear wolves howl as Barbatos exterminates the enemy forces. so this song name would fit in with barbatos.
because Barbatos name means wolf king it only seems fitting that during its last moments on the battlefield there'd be wolfs howling paying respect to their king one last time
in norse mythology , vidar is son of odin, which is full with vengeage ,where he seek for revenge for odin, who had been eaten by fenrir.vidar fulfilled his revenge ,but odin would never returned. in the series, vidar already fulfilled his revenge, but gjallarhorn already being disbanded. odin - gjallahorn fenrir - mcgillis (gundam bael) vidar - gaelio (kimaris vidar) only my opinion
@@Alkonium guess i didn't do much research 4 years ago, and im back , to listen to this golden song xD . if ggjallarhorn is the horn, then it might be a sign for vidar's vengeange, in this series? correct me if im wrong bro, i really love to see other perspective in this xD
the only thing that make me sad is that the fact that there is people out there who dislike this. Anyway nice job man. Word like "White Wolf" fit Barbatos and Mikazuki than "Demon". (as the demon is heartless to anything, while white wolf only fight for survival and family)
A wolf fight for its safety and survival... His Enemies saw "Him" as the devil as he butchers and slays they're comrades... But it's pack sees differently, they see a protector and savior worthy to be called their king... All Hail Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex... The king of the wolves.
May they be welcomed with open arms by their brothers old and new in the Einherjar, and may the song of the Valkyries that greets them as he enters make the roots of Yggdrasil itself tremble. For Mikazuki Augus and Barbatos, the King of Wolves has entered Valhalla. With him and his brothers from Tekkadan fighting on the field of Ragnarok, Asgard may actually have a decent chance of winning the battle.
@@r0kt00fbackup true true kratos has earned his reputation by killing a entire dimension of history ( greek mythology ) and countless titans and his son had slaughtered almost every dark elf
Chase Network I agree. I made this video after episode 47 because I was so sure I knew Mika would come out on top. I figured in the end I’d miss a few scenes but it’d be fine. I was mistaken. But too late now
Mikazuki Augus died as he lived... seeking out the enemies of his BFF Orga Itsuka and WRECKING THEIR SHIT. And yes... Gundam Barbatos and her upgrades, Barbatos Lupus and Barbatos Lupus Rex, are an absolute BEAST on the battlefield. Especially Lupus Rex, whose Ultra-Large Mace is design to rip CAPITOL SHIPS to shreds and whose claw-tipped fingers scream "I'MMA FUCK YOU UP."
@@N-ggus-T You refer to ships and vehicles as "she." Regardless of who or what they're named after. And a Mobile Suit is a vehicle, just a vehicle shaped like a person. "Barbatos" means "bearded," BTW. So "Barbatos Lupus Rex?" Bearded Wolf King.
lunerblade13 expanding on that, a battle scarred white wolf howling in front of a blood red crescent moon as his personal emblem, maybe on Barbatos shoulder.
meeka was a savage in combat. he did all he could to protect the ones he loved. his comrades were his family and he would not let anyone hurt them. orga may have seemed unbreakable but in truth he needed meeka more than it seemed. IBO was one of the best gundam for a long time. it broke so many of the old tropes of gundam.
Sorry it took so long to reply-oh it was no coincidence. That was PRECISELY why I chose this song. That and the Viking metal and lyrics fit the theme well
At the beginning and end of most of my videos, I put the name of the song and their artist. This one is “Wake the White Wolf (Metal Version)” by Miracle of Sound
Holy shiit man... Witcher fan song And gundam IBO together.. U make some diamond like shit, dat hit harder than the Lupus! I want see the "Future" Geralt pilot the Gundam barbatos Lupus Rex! :O
I think Barbatos has it going more in ferocity if anything. Kira would dodge, Setsuna would use Trans Am... the Barbatos is severely underpowered compared to most other gundams weaponry wise. Sure the nanolaminate armor would protect from beams, but could it protect from physical blades like the GN Sword series? It certainly doesn't protect from heat, so if the ZZ landed a shot with the Hi Mega Cannon, Mika would cook alive.
Kira is not a warrior Mika would take his lunch and destroy the archangel just as an extra fuk you... I sorta got bored of Gundam 00 so I'll come back after I've seen it but from what I saw Mika prob jump out the suit and try and shoot setsuna with orga's 9 if he could
@@wanderingaceminecraftandmo8034heat is what nanolite protects against Beams are just massive blasts of heat Nanolite seems to let heat just glide over the paint
Noting fits more. 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺 Gundams of PD earned their names. 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈 I still think Seed Gundams look better due to them being angelic 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇 But when it comes to fear inductment, terror and moves nothing beats PD gundams. And, I'd like to point out that Mikas 1. ms sortie was jumping out of an underground hangar and slaying a Graze as Orga called out his name. Like real demon coming from some infernal pit to do his summoners bidding.
all the Gundams in Iron Blooded Orphans are named after demon kings in the Ars Goetia, which is a book about them. Barbatos (or Barbados-many of the demon kings have alternate spellings) is one of the prominent ones. Bael is the king of kings, which makes sense since it was the first Gundam frame ever built. Similarly, I think the mobile armors like Hashmal are named after angels, since the Gundam frames were built specifically to combat the mobile armors directly.
And its pilots name is also related to the moon Something wolves are connected to in myths and legends An cold and brutal fighter,.but also an caring and loving friend
The title of this song is very fitting actually! The reason I say that is because Gundam Barbatos’s “Lupus” part of it’s close combat style upgraded versions’s names is Latin for “Wolf”. Also as one of the characters said in the show “the word “Rex” means “King”.” In conclusion: the full name of “Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex” (the final version of Gundam Barbatos) is translated to English as “Gundam Barbatos Wolf King”! So yeah. THAT is why I find the name of this song fitting for this AMV about Gundam Barbatos!
@@WarbossR0kt00fSant0s I liken him to Cu Cullain... because he basically died in battle and on his own two feet despite having to be strung up practically by his own guts. Just like the man they called "The Hound Of Ulster."
y'know, if they were gonna go with the whole "wolf" naming scheme for the main Gundam, then it would've made more sense if instead of Barbatos, who is a demon depicted as a bearded old man, it had been Marchosias, a demon depicted as a monster wolf
It makes me wonder if it was pre-planned for Season 2 to make it wolf-themed, or if they just thought it sounded good as Season 1 went on, because it fit Mika's fighting style
It fits if you think about it. 1) The horns make it look like a demon, and it fights like one. 2) Barbatos is old, over 300 years old. 3) that red chin looks like a 'beard'.
Mr. Torgue High-Five Flexington Also, character perspective. Many a Ghallarhorn and pirate only saw Barbatos as a demon. From Tekkadan's perspective, Barbatos was the strongest of their wolfpack, hence King of the Wolves.
They should have won. The only reason they lost because the writer hates them. At the last monument they could have 2 of the remaining Gundam instead of one or that injury is bs. Our boys are the good guys. Also, hitting a direct hit on the 2 Gundams with thunderbolt is impossible because there is 2 seconds to dodge also it was obvious. They all needed to do is split in opposite directions from 2 flanks followe the enemy and be in mix of them and keep moving around. Also our boy Crescent with Barbartose should be at that point even faster and quicker. He should alone wipe the enemy unites out in a massacre. Because after all those upgrades and what we saw against Mobile Armor he should get a double ultra crazy mode where he goes both red and blue glow. He should be equal to 4 Mobile armors at this point. If you want to send only 1 Mobile suite to space then Barbartose what it should have - however 2 is better. Those Gundams should have gotten an additional upgrade of wings and flying capabilities with also enhanced thrust power and more thrusters. It would have been cool if Barbartose new arms are an addition where we get a 4 arms Barbartose. They have all resones to win. They did the most stupid illogical decision at the end. There is tone of bs writer stuff at the last quarter.
But by the end of the season they were all alone against the whole system and the goal to stop children from being used as soldiers was made worse by how strong they had become.
