WOW- what a fight, this fight its a candidate for Fight of the Year. Alvarado never gave-up evendo he lost the first five rounds. Enjoy Rate___Comment___Subscribe
This is what i call a battle, both skilled fighters, just plain and simply great. This guys would've hurt themselves less if they were carrying shotguns. Thanks for the upload, nice video
The point still remains that ANYONE who gets inside that ring deserves respect, because they're risking their health and lives. And, a skillful boxer who can stay focused and poised enough to stick to a game plan, control the pace and distance of a fight with their jab and technical boxing skills and has good defense deserves just as much respect as a fighter who goes toe to toe all night long. Your logic is terribly flawed, my friend.
He isn't yet in his prime, he needs to get one or two more awkward kind of fighters and be able to deal with them before he makes a serious step up in class... I think that's very very important!
@DNMevolution Amir Khan? why mention his name? the only last fight @ 140 he may have is with bum Bradley. other than that he is going to 147 next year.
That's what he needs to work on... You can be a boxer yet brawler aka Roberto Duran, he isn't anywhere near a smidgen as good as Roberto nor will he ever be but he can still learn a thing or two If he is willing to learn, he needs to think more before doing so to speak.
@dremsbtm Khan can't hurt Alvarado. Marcos Maidana has two left feet and telegraphs his punches from last week. He almost KO'd Khan. Alvarado is a well balanced fighter with physical strength. Most people don't know but Alvarado went 99-0 as a wrestler. Too strong and a durable chin.
when I boxed i used my chin as my defense & the only reason I did that was because I didn't have the skill to jab and move and avoid punishment call it heart or whatever but deep down NOBODY likes taking punishment and would avoid it if possible
@dremsbtm I DISAGREE.Bcuz Prescott KO khan in the 1 round, But not only that mike alvarado has a GREAT CHIN as you can see,He can also take alot of punches and still come foward. So i would see alvarado beating khan by UD
I know its really tiring Its just the most best thing to watch, I don't blame Sergio as much for it because its legal (Chavez fault for not being able to cut off the ring) to do that but what I would dislike to it is If he was grabbing onto someone when they got close to prevent any inside action, I hate that so much!! Referee's seriously need to pick up their act and fry guys who do that because its preventing the aggressor from any positives from actually chasing down the guy!
Yep. Inside game is very limited within KHans and he needs to DRASTICALLY improve it if he ever wants to dream of a match with Mayweather or the likes. Viscious left hooks and power striaght right hands to the body makes Khan a venemous explosive3 fighter. But until he can do as you says, he's never going to make it to that level of Elite power success if he can't square somoene up toe to toe inside up close quarter.
@aybaby1024 lol khan paid people what u chating about prescott got knocked out he only lasts for the first 5,6 rounds in any fight and the was going to go down again cuz there was 1.53 SECONDS left in the fight he wud had got hurt bad cuz 1.53 is a very long time in the ring. and mike alvardo is not a roch fighter
don't be stupid man there's plenty of Mexican that are good tech fighters too and just you're slick doesn't mean you don't have heart.. just enjoy the sport if there was just on style of boxing it wouldn't be interesting..
WTF are you talking about? ;I Mike has skills to begin with. Secondly, the referee was not paid, don't know where you got that thought watching the whole fight. Last but not least, improve your grammar and punctuation.
@frankieelias yeah i saw that i told my DAD nd he said but still ALVARADO is losin I told him 2 bet me i knew he was gonna WIN ive been seen ALVARADO since his TELEFUTURA days he has the HEART of a LION
Alvarado needs defense!! I remember watching this fight live and being angry with the damn audience... so fucking lethargic. Classic "who wants it more" kind of fight. Good fight!
And people who want to preserve some brain function. There's no glory in getting hit in the head 300 times in a night if you don't have to. Boxing: hit and not get hit.
Alvarado deserves a title fight; He beat one of the most feared opponents in welterweight. Amazing fight!!!! one of my favorite fighters at this moment. RIOS_ALVARADOOOOO!!
Thank you so much for posting this fight i saw it last sat:) i was going for prescott but alvarado got craaazy energy on the last round and destroyed him. Great fight:)
