It was God who called Moses, despite his crimes, to lead His people. Similarly, I have made mistakes in my past, just like many of us. If someone were to bring up my past sins now that I am in ministry, should I step down because of those past actions? We must distinguish between a lifestyle of ongoing, hidden sin and rare, severe lapses. This distinction is crucial, as the Bible shows that God extends mercy after repentance, allowing individuals to continue their calling and accomplish great things for Him.

Holier than thou…if the flash lights were to be directed on you, we may see more victims that these exposed. Notwithstanding, servants of Gods must be brought to repentance and restored. @JewandGreek Hi Rod. I thinnk you misunderstood and the person isn;t phrasing it, correctly. I was a victim of severe abuse and plagued by feelings of shame and condemnation and I wasn't at fault. The "mercy" that is needed is one of healing and the setting free from the yoke of shame. Sadly, forgiveness is only the starting point. For years, I did not deal with the underlying shame that came with the abuse. With the victims, they are facing a much greater yoke than I did. There is also the tendency to blame the victims. Hope this help you with understanding the situation.

Intercessors have been praying for years for God to remove pastors from pulpits that need to be. This is difficult to see but are answers to prayer. Praise God for these exposures! God is just! Morris should have turned himself into the police years ago. She was an innocent child. Yes, I have been on praying for the corruption to be exposed.... The crazy part is that you never know who will be exposed! All of these men impacted others lives for the good, spoke the word of God and many were saved...and yet this happened. So we all need God's mercy and grace! The victims need healing and to be protected and those being exposed will be judged even moreso than if they were not men of God. I am very grieved to hear about these.

My boyfriend left me when I was pregnant, I am not the same since. I am 59. It is horrible, but I told my mother that I was sorry. I knew it wasn't right.

I just came back from a 3 month mission assignment where I was sent to the churches in western Uganda. The Lord had me teaching leaders on commitment, surrender and more importantly, accountability. The Holy Spirit is exposing those who are abusing their positions. Many are calling themselves pastors when they are not. Truly, I’ve seen where some do not have the fear of God thinking it’s okay to sin and preach 😮😲 It’s everywhere! It is the hour where God is cleaning house. Do people realize that when Peter fell by rejecting Jesus, Jesus restored Peter without even condemning him and most of the disciples may not even have known what people had done wrong because when he denied Jesus, all the other disciples were not there and when he restored him Jesus was so tactful such that anyone present could not tell that Peter was being restored. As a Spirit-filled pastor, it is clear that the Charismatic church is desperately lacking in discernment. The leaders we have honored continue to be shown to not be worthy of honor. And the people who point out "flaws" are lambasted as slanderers and accusers. How do we restore the true and biblical gift of discernment in the Charismatic church? I think you have to distinguish between those who are those who , though not right, did stuff like this 40-45 years ago and publicly repented, and those who have been unrepentant and in continuous sin.

What is happening now should not be a surprise to mature believers if you've studied and understand GOD' Word. R Morris did not sin recently - his sin happened 40 years ago. Does Jesus blood not cover all sins? I thought the Blood of Jesus covered our sins. Is the Blood of no effect?? 40 years ago - not now!!! Why make it public? You did answer, but shouldn't it be said within the church setting? I believe when God made it known was in the temple or church setting? We are in a time that secret sin will be exposed for the sake of those compromising and those who are being affected. Read Numbers 20 concerning Moses did not enter the Promised Land due to not sanctifying God in the eyes of His people. Were these sanctifying God in the eyes of His people? The final say is between the person and their Saviour.
I always thought it was unjust to him not to enter the promised land. It was until I was older that I understood his punishment. We do have consequences for our sins, even though we are forgiven.
Very heart breaking but sure God is merciful to us all. In my early days as I believer I encountered an incìdent i like this that resulted in me not having anything to do with fellowship and God's people but found myself back so soon. I don't know about Morris or Bickle at all. But I know about Jakes. I've forgiven him long ago. He was busted with Diddy. They are all in trouble. God knows what He is doing. People who have been hurt need to be vindicated. Those who have been injured need to be healed. Thank you Lord You are righteous.
It's not moral failure it's disgusting sin aginst underage girls and females. Moral failure is shop lifting, or cooking the books, a DUI, an affair with an adult secretarie.
It can be so confusing, christian leaders condemning other christian leaders. I pray these leaders are getting exposed, truly repent and go on with God and found faithful. Thank you for explaining. I know God is exposing places in me that need to be more Christlike

All have sinned & fallen short of the glory of God. As the body of Christ & as intercessors, we need to pray for one another & ask that in this time of shaking that we all are quick to repent, confess our sins, & that God sends people to encourage those who have done so to rise back up & continue to fight the fight of faith, & do better. God is forgiving & loving to each of us. His mercies are new every morning. Great is his faithfulness!
Shaking starts in the church first. Just because they are leaders doesn't make them perfect. Praying for repentance and restoration, as the prodigal son was restored.❤

I was thinking about Epstein, and it gave me chills. I pray to God this is not a rooted plague. If it is, may our God help us all. I want it to learn from this. I am a SA victim, so this is very hard to know and have compassion for him. I have none whatsoever.

It's a very complicated issue. Victims don't understand how a predator behaves. The typical victim is from a dysfunctional family or is insecure, emotionally wounded/vulnerable creating the "perfect storm" target when a predator is around. Many girls and women are looking for a loving "father figure" since they are either without a father or their father was not that. Instead of making God their perfect Father, they are attracted to usually an older male authority figure in these kinds of cases. The spiritual/demonic element is involved too. People are not taught how to discern. They get blind-sided by a charismatic, usually very gifted, person who can read them like a book while the trusting victim gets caught in the predator's web. The predator is generally patient, studying the reactions of their victim. Wooing them with compliments, gifts to appeal to their unhealed wounds. "This is our secret". "If you tell anybody I'll kill myself", etc. It's just evil. The predator needs counseling and deliverance -- and in the case of a minor, to be incarcerated. That girl was scarred for life because of his selfishness.
I know someone who was abused as a boy, the family took revenge. The abuser is now swimming with the fishes. Those who don’t get healed and set free and choose to abuse, you should be real careful and repent now. You never know what door you opened by abusing others. You might be swimming if you abuse. God help us all.
I wonder though with Robert Morris, it sounds like he repented and was restored and was a faithful minister for 35 years? David sinned and he repented and God forgive him.
Yeah, keyword if he truly repented so if he truly repented, it should be fine and was there accountability taken or did the person continue to act the same way that’s that’s what’s course they should be forgiveness if people humble themselves and repent but if you enable somebody and there’s no accountability and they keep hurting peopleand abuse their power that’s a different story it needs to be addressed and if there’s no exposure, it won’t be addressed put people on pedestals leaders as a matter of leaders in the church will be held more accountable because they should know better
I have been part of one church where the lead minister was accused of sexual sin and has been found guilty. It has been very difficult for us. One thing we are learning by the sins of these ministers is that this accounts for the weakness in the church, the unholy lives that so many believers are living throughout the church trickles down into the church. If the leaders are not godly, how can they lead the believers to love holiness?; to cherish righteousness. This also seems to be part of the purging in the church as we are approaching the end of the age. I don't think that we in the church understand God's hatred of sin.
I think the best way to ask for forgiveness, is to Not blame the victim and not say to the victim, " I forgive you". Which has been done and said. That would be a very good first move.
This last week I have been feeling angry and disappointed/hurt with the church but really not knowing why I was feeling this way. This morning, I put RU-vid on and Patricia came up in which I am shocked to hear this as I was not aware of all this happening. Healing for the adults that were attacked as children and mercy and forgiveness for those that gave into flesly desired that caused pain and suffering. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for everyone in every circumstance!

I believe in His grace and mercy, that He has first dealt privately with these individuals and given them time to repent and turn from their sin, but because of lack of repentance exposure will come.
Why did you, like many other spiritual leaders; post this RU-vid? You shared and called for mercy and forgiveness for the Perpetrator and his family and Bystanders, and your women ministry. What about the centre piece, the VICTIM and possible unknown victims? Robert Morris is not the focus but the victim. Why no mentioon of responsibility of members of other overseeing the case? The leadership? It’s the weak leadership that leads to this. What are we doing for the Victim? What a sham

This is so heartbreaking. I have listened to most of these people for a time over the years. Found in recent years no drawing to them and many others. Judgement does begin in the house of the Lord. Issues of under development in my own soul have been brought to the surface. I pray we all submit, repent and give our whole selves unto Him.
