Birbiglia was already a very good comedian who seems to have kicked it up a notch to the top level. Not a lot of comedians get better at their act after getting a podcast but he seems like a rare exception.

4 months later. You two get an ad for Little Caesar's (this hurts me) "Chicago Style Pizza"... I am dying inside. Sorry Mike B and Jimmy but you aren't going to top being more funny than Little Caesar's trying to pimp "Chicago-style pizza". I mean robot I love you two and I totally... hold on I'm going to copy bots - Birbiglia was already a very good comedian who seems to have kicked it up a notch to the top level. He was a great guest, and his special is incredible. Stumbled across this last night and laughed A LOT! Love mike B he is treasure so natural ,and funny great interview as alway jimmy so entertaining love that you guys are friends. its a great show. thanks so much for putting it into the world and sharing it. This one is borderline human = "A lot of celebrities and Mike Birbigila ". Never heard of this comedian until today when a friend and I were sharing what we're watching on Netflix and he mentioned The Old Man and the Pool. Makes me want to re-subscribe my Netflix account instead of just going with disney for my kids. "Mike just gets weirder and weirder" - huh? "Jimmy's co-workers may confirm his mafioso behavior...". Okay I might be in human territory here now because this one is my favourite: "He was acting like Tom Cruise on Oprah." - 2024 nothing matters, buy a pizza.

Stumbled across this last night and laughed A LOT! I love his timing and delivery and unlike other comics doesn't resort to F words and C words to "entertain". I'm looking forward to many more laughs as I watch his other specials.

(because I assume you are the kind of person who reads the comments), I clicked on The Old Man and the Pool the second Netflix recommended it to me. I have loved your work since I first heard you on This American Life about twenty lifetimes ago, and you really do just keep getting better and better! I was watching your special while untangling my Christmas lights and then ran into the problem that I finished, but you hadn’t finished talking, and the sun was going down, and I needed to get the lights up, but you were still talking, so I didn’t want to go outside. Please keep taking care of yourself and telling stories! I love you and you make my life a happier place.

Okay. Now I’m annoyed because I made his name, Mike Bribiglia in bold and underlined and the thing just made his whole name disappear. It’s almost like the internet literally refuses to let his name be in bold and underlined.

Never heard of this comedian until today when a friend and I were sharing what we're watching on Netflix and he mentioned The Old Man and the Pool. I immediately jumped on to see if it was worthy to play for my family when they visit over Christmas. The 2 criteria being laugh out loud funny and no foul language. OMG it was soooo worthy, so funny. The word sublime comes to mind. I'm a new fan.
