Mike, you are without a doubt one of the finest musicians anywhere to be found. I get your place with Tom, but since his passing I have listened more and more to yours & HB's music and your contribution to the sound of TPHB is so great. I am almost the same age and have been listening to you for decades. You have always been a cut above. External Combustion is an extraordinarily well written, sung and played album. Just keep it up!

It's strange but the older I get the more distinctive Mike Campbell's guitar playing seems to be. Songs I used to listen to and think 'Oh that guitar playing is nice' I now listen to and think 'Is that Mike Campbell?' (does quick internet search just to be sure) 'Yes it is Mike Campbell!' He was, and is, so good at playing for the song that his personality can get absorbed by the music.

Looking forward very much to your show at the end of Aug at St. Andrew's Hall in Det. Wish i could've afforded VIP pack for the meet and greet. But nonetheless I'll be there man ready to ROCK, you and the band need to stay heathy out there on the road Mike good luck.

Hey Mike, Love your stuff. So great to hear such great original music that could have come from any era in rock music. What do you think about a story about the evolution of the Knobs as a band? I would love to hear what you have to say about the days when your band would come here to Bakersfield to play anonymously in some off-the-wall bar. Nobody had a clue who was really in The Dirty Knobs. Or The Blue Stingrays. Such great times!
