As a Warriors fan, I'm sad this season is over. It really felt they were in a good place, but when you're in the play-in, one bad to awful game, and it's over. 😭😭😭😭😪😪 On to next year! Can't wait!
Honestly I'm nervous about the trades but I feel so hopeful for next year! The OGs and the new kids are working together and it's looking great for us not to be in that position next season. Be hopeful, We Believe 💙💛💙💛
Curry is on a mission since the game was over first Steph landing in Paris and play for a gold medal and after that, hes gonna take care of business!! For sure i feel like this mission is called: “You Better not Want to See Us Next Year” all the rockies now know what is like to be in a playoffs kind a games! I hope Klay stays wee need more size thought!! And i need dray to keep he’s cool because if not trade he’s ass you know but i still believe too as long is curry is on that team every year is possible! So wishing nothing but the Best for this team 💙💛 lets goo dub nation
This is just not a year for them. They have lost so many close games. Which led them to the play-in tournament. Hope they can find quality bigs and good lengthy 3 and d guys. Also, hope they can cut their turnovers next season it is the one that kills them all season long.
need a big man to help green, looney, tjd. it's really sad and disappointing. hoping curry, thompson, green can still get their 5th ring together and 1st for cp3 . maybe next year ....
The team is actually good to compete. New rotations and roles need to be implemented though. Give Moody more minutes, start TJD and for the love of god, please stop playing small ball. Instead of playing small, why not ask your Centers to develop a mid range jumper. I know Looney is capable of that.
Looney needs to go for a better starting option. TJD can be a secondary backup center or versatile when they want to play abit smaller. Looney is a worse shooter than TJD based on their FT shooting. Looney never shot 70% like TJD did in college. Trayce is a better rim protector and offensive threat. Cp3 needs to go or become muxh cheaper the. His 30 mill a yr. Klay needs to take under 20 a yr or needs to go. Gp2 is injury prone but maybe keep him. We need a true decent center. Wiggins needs to be traded snd Kuminga can start in his place.
Yea they are! Yes he had a very bad game but he had been playing extremely well. One bad game the media and others are saying he need to retire. Klay isn’t going anywhere and I believe they will be find next year.
@@angelasmith9225one bad game? Go look at his seasons stats then make that comment. He’s clearly declining. The media is getting at Klay bc in the last game of the szn a play in tournament game they should ALL collectively as a team be ballin.. Klay went 0-10 that says a lot.
You think 10th is unacceptable but that’s just cause you see “10th seed” they finished with 4 more wins this season and we’re in 6th place last season if they had the same record last year as this year we would’ve been 3rd so they didn’t do to terrible.
They started to play better the last 27 games or so. Continuation is a a key here. Good Chemistry will go a long way. They need one excellent shooter or improve within. They should not break this team all entirely but Add one big and good defensive player and pick up from where they left off
46 wins and we missed the playoffs. Thats crazy. I really think the only things missing is a reliable scorer next to Steph Klay, Wiggins, Poole, KD were those guys in the past, but not anymore. You get a reliable 15-20 pt/game guy this team would have been at least 5th seed if not higher.
Bring Klay back in an Iguodala role. Truly great guy but 30 mins is too much for little defense and it's also an obstruction development of young players like Moody, JK, Lester Q, and Santos - the future! Sentimentality is the biggest hinderance! Kerr is driving a bus in which the rear view mirror is bigger than the front windshield!!
He averaged 18 points a game this season and shot the 4th most 3 pointers in the NBA too. Some of you “fans” are just too emotional and low IQ to think intelligently.
give me a full season next year of the team that went 26-12 to end the season after settling on a rotation with the rookies, JK developing, Draymond actually playing basketball and not getting suspended, etc........
Curry, Klay, Dra, GP3, Mood, Wig, Kaminga, hell, we don't need to get rid of anyone, just need to regroup...these are champions and I truly feel their story is far from over. Hope these back office and front office don't screw this up.
We need a couple of knock down 3 point shooters with height and length with some experience that are athletic and we need tough minded defensive players that can compete against all level players.
If you look at most athletic 3-point shooters, they are hit and miss. And we get on Klay for being inconsistent? He is way more consistent than most of those athletic 3-point shooters.
I watched most of the play-in and playoff games on Saturday(most games are boring or ego ball), and the Warrior games have got to be some of the most entertaining games in the NBA. In fact, without the Warriors being competitive, I don't know how many NBA games I'll watch this year. I don't know if the Warriors can do this, but i would look to a TV contract that would offset the luxury tax problem.
Let’s start by NOT bringing back Chris Paul, letting Podz play the backup PG, acquiring a three level scoring wing that can create their own shots and if possible a 4/5 that can shoot and rebound and we’re back on business.
He not good on defense, I would get charges and rebound if I lived in the paint. He played the way he played all season people just noticed it last game. Dude finish the season avg 26 minutes a game and avg 9 points. But that's your opinion and I have mine.
@@evefet5491 because he was playing out of position and wasn’t in lineups to cover his weaknesses lol, it’s not that hard of a concept to grasp if you just use your brain my man
@@Tac0maAr0ma I'm a woman 😂😂😂😂 like I said you have your opinion and I have mine. Good luck next year with his weekness and playing out of position.
I'm a Dunleavy fan after last year's draft and not blowing up the team at the trade deadline but he's really got his work cut out for him getting the Dubs back to the finals
Get back to the finals? We just finished 10th in the west and missed the playoffs. Let's focus on trying to finish top 6 in the west next year, which may be a tall order for this roster, before we start talking finals lol.
We need a CENTER! Don’t care if he’s not the most skilled. We won all our chips (except 2022) with decent centers on the roster. We don’t need a unicorn at the 5 spot, just someone decent. Steph will do the rest. Sheesh! #getstephacenter
If I 'm at the table my suggestion is to Joe and Klay arrive at a agreement for a base starting amount then to include bonuses for point average ,field goal percentage, turnovers games played, etc. The proof is in the pudding. Wishing Klay all the best for him ,excited to see him to step up for the challenge.
On September 24, 2018, Dunleavy was hired by the Golden State Warriors as a pro scout.[33] On August 29, 2019, Dunleavy was promoted to assistant general manager of the Warriors.[34] On September 30, 2021, Dunleavy was promoted to vice president of basketball operations.[35] He won his first NBA championship after the Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics in six games in the 2022 NBA Finals. On June 16, 2023, Dunleavy was promoted to general manager of the Warriors following Bob Myers' subsequent step down from the position
Only 4 rings in 10 years. Who has done better. Nobody is close to a Dynasty. Warriors are the latest Dynasty period, so li e with the tremendous success
Build around Steph and JK. Surround them with great players who are lethal both on offense and defense. Steph had only few years left so please dont waste it.
34 years fan here and I hope Mike D realized how urgent and importance this offseason is. There are too many issues here including him staying put at the deadlines. Hopefully we see these changes this offseason: 1) get Kerr some potent assistant coaches, Atkinson gotta go. They need better and creative def/off scheme assistant coaches 2) address perimeter defense 3) size especially the 5 4) release CP3 and Wig 5) draft a ready to contribute 3-4 year college exp rookie either a big wing or a 5
We love you, klay. You made a lot of money with the warriors, but I dont even know what the trade value is at this point, just being honest. Take less money and stay a warrior. Retire a warrior. We always got a roll for you off the bench here. WARRIORS FOREVER 💛💙
With all his talk about loyalty, dynasty and loving the bay, I was surprised he showed no gratitude for getting paid 80 plus million dollars for playing half a season..He acted like the dubs owed him that..That tells me he's gonna go for the money and leave..In the end, he's no different than any other greed infested athlete
Moody deserves more playing time. Don't trade Wiggs. The Warriors are his family! Could happen to anyone. He need ya’ll now. Let him come off the bench if you have to but don't trade him. Gg❤
That’s not how businesses work unfortunately , you don’t perform and play up to your contract u get moved… especially cause he’s the new GM so doesn’t really have a connection to him either
He better treat these guys with respect and loyalty. He was quite the dirty player in his day. I am not too fond of him. I'm watching how he handles the next season.
Yeah sure get a big at the center position who can pass, defend, and score...the problem is as dunleavy said, there is not a bunch of those guys around who are legitimately avaliable, tjd can defend, he shot 70% at the bucket and can pass and is a rim protector....but 10 feet out he cant shoot at all ..needa to work on his jump shot...same with podz....
roster is pretty good aside from lacking a legit 5.. kerr's rotation is the main problem.. sure the ogs gave a lot for the team in the past.. but they're not the same players anymore.. theyre older and slower.. but with the right rotation i believe they still can contribute a lot..
I think the inevitable slowing down as we age factor is something to be monitored this coming year. For instance, I suspect Klay, Steph, Draymond, and even Wiggs were a bit worn out at the end. We can't have Steph get harassed full court, then expect him to come up with an offensive plan after he passes the half court line. At least not all game. I think Klay's defense declined towards the end. Look, we know our stars are aging, so we have to take that into account, which we did a bit, but more attention needs to be paid to what that exactly means. We can't afford to have them tired at the end, or we must have a contingency plan if that happens. I suspect, if we were to use our full roster(e.g. starters, 2nd unit, defensive unit) with players who play instead of developmental players, I think we can wear out the other team in a 7-game playoff.
What assets are you talking about sir? Most expensive crew to not make the playoffs. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is insanity
Effort! With an eleven deep rotation there is no excuse for not getting back on defense, fight for rebounding position on every shot attempt and close out on perimeter shooters!
We liked Klay definitely a good shooter at times but GSW needs a consistent shooter in clutch times. Klay may have gotten in his own head but it has happened too often at the worst times. Also, Kerr has to evolve the whole NBA has modeled the shooting aspect of BBall. Every team can knock down threes. How can GSW compete with Joker, Giannis, Wemby, Porzingis, AD, JJJ,Jarett Allen, etc. how long will y’all be in denial of those threats?
Not necessarily at the center position? When is this madness gonna stop. The one spot yall need to improve on you just can’t fathom? The one spot you need, you resist the most? They need a change of mentality. They are gonna stay behind the 8 ball!
They really on klay.......I believe in this team but more responsibility and accountability on Dray people underestimate what wiggins does we just need a big man no big changes.Defence....
You can't have both veterans who are not producing at a high level to win a championship and pulling the organization down and get the best from your young. You don't keep people to have a kumbaya feeling, you will keep losing because you don't have the muscle to make tough decision to let people go.
HE DEFINITELY DOESN'T LOOK HAPPY, AND I'M HOPING THAT TRANSLATES INTO COMPLETELY REVAMPING THE ROSTER AROUND STEPH, KLAY, AND DRAYMOND. I LOVE THAT HE SAID HE WANTS TO FOCUS ON GETTING SIZE IN ALL OF THE POSITIONS. THAT'S GREAT TO HEAR BECAUSE WE NEED SPECIFICALLY LONGER ATHLETIC WINGS AND A SOLID RIM PROTECTOR 🔥🔥🔥💪🏿. HOWEVER, EASIER SAID THAN DONE, MIKE DUNLEAVY JR NEEDS TO BE EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE IN THE OFFSEASON. I HATE TO SAY IT BUT I'M TRADING WIGGS, KUMINGA, GETTING OFF OF CP3S CONTRACT AS WELL TO OPEN UP CAP SPACE. WE CAN DEFINITELY SOLVE ALL OF THIS AND BECOME A CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDER AGAIN.
You guys need to clean house and not be scared to do so! Who cares what people say about it. You know who ruined this year and who helped it!😢 Go Warriors 💙💛💙💛💙💛
Clay going to have to take a smaller role and pay…bring him off the bench as a spot up shooter maybe he can work himself back to a all star….if he doesn’t want to do this let him go…period!!!!
I respect Dunleavy is just doing his job, but this stuff is all just smoke and mirrors. It wasn't too long ago that he said Jordan, after his extension, was going to be a Warrior for 4 more years, at least" 😅 It's all part of the business - you never want to tip your hand or put yourself at a disadvantage for potential deals down the road, and you never want to alienate players that you may end up stuck with. Still.....this team has a LOT of work to do over the summer.
While many people will say the James Wiseman pick was a bad one, I could see what Bob Myers made it. Look at the bigs that are dominating the league again? Maybe not like a Karl Malone back in the 80s and 90's. But while Wiseman had the physical ability, his lack of experience was the issue and ultimately derailed his career with the Warriors. Looking back at Myer's drafts, he liked to take big swings. Dunleavy seems to settle on players with some sort of skill / ability. Let's see how Dunleavy can re-build the team the next few seasons.
