Mike Einziger And Aloe Blacc Perform Avicii's "Wake Me Up" Acoustic 

I can't believe how underrated Mike Einziger is. I have been a huge Incubus fan since their early days and since I play a little guitar, I have always been amazed by Mike's talent and creativity. When I first heard this song, I liked the guitar right away and when I read that it was Mike who had wrote it, it just made sense. This guy is one of the greatest guitarist of our generation. Simple yet great, and he plays so joyfully.

As a muscian myself, I think Aloe and Mike deserve just as much credit for the song as Avicii

Sadly Avicii never got a chance to grow older. He is forever young. RIP Avicii I hope you found peace when you were woken up.

I don't have anything against Avicii. I do however get annoyed by his fans that state this is "his song". This was a collaboration. Mike Einziger wrote most of the chord progression with input from Avicii and Aloe Blacc wrote and sang the lyrics. Avicii took that and essentially made a remix of it with his music. Now it wouldn't have came to be without Avicii, but everyone needs to give credit where credit is due.

Love his voice. And, like the others here, I knew this song was different from alot of Avicii music. I'm glad I kept digging!! I've listened to quite a few Aloe Blacc songs this morning and his voice, range, emotion and styles are amazing. Not a big fan of the Hip Hop stage but I'll remain a listener. :)) Excellent!!

It’s often said that once you strip back all the layers of production and instrumentation a truly great song will still shine when played bare-bones and acoustic.
