His story made it impossible for an ambush. He said he flew in early or late or something. If someone was trying to ambush him, they wouldn't have known he'd be there at that time. How would they know he'd go out at 2am, walking, in a snow storm for a sandwhich? Bullshit.

His story never really added up at any point. First, the night that it occured was during the polar vortex and the temperature was -24 degrees in Chicago. No sane person would be out during that temperature, not even people who hunt. Second, the area it occured in is a well known wealthy area that is literally a ghost town after 7 or 8pm. Third, two guys in MAGA hats saying that Chicago is MAGA country? Needless to say, that was beyond being farfetched. His entire discription of the "Trump supporters" was a grotesquely exaggerated representation.
