Also.... Sir Tank: we're gonna need you to keep that keyboard handy at all times. I live for those "Top 5" & "I Ain't Sayin' No Names" theme songs!!🤪💜💜💜
When you are not familiar with the invited guest, it's the responsibility of the hosts to take us on the "getting to know you" journey. Bravo! Kudos for giving a platform to those we WANT to hear from, and those we NEED to hear from. What a fun, and yet informative episode. He legitimately is an important swatch of fabric from our culture.
I love how this pod cast gives love to all of the elements that make R&B music thrive. I'm a fan of many types of music; R&B will always be my first love. This pod cast is EVERYTHING. 🎶 💜🎶💜🎶💜🎶💜
This guy Mike Gardner deserves his own movie. I've seen this guy grind his way to the top. He used to pass out his own flyers (Before Instagram) on South Beach back in the day. Me and the homies used to go downtown Miami to Club Nocturnal and have a great time. The dude used to throw the flyest and dopest events. Back when Miami nightlife was really popping. Not just a pillar in the nightlife industry, he does a lot of community service work in the inner city of Miami.
When he said Tevin Campbell I was like hell yeah! Such a great voice and very unique in tone but can still hit those high notes We don’t speak enough about Tevin and his songs!!!!!
OMG, no 🎹! This Podcast is so amazing I love how they uplift the women and the brotherhood they build with each other. They are teaching the business, how to control the emotions, the steps it takes to become successful, and healthy. People can learn how to work together without being jealous of each other. I love this podcast! Gotta get a J Valentine Candy!
The life of a promoter…I learned a lot today! Seldom do we hear the positive side of the job. It was nice to hear his viewpoint of what it means to be in his shoes. Very informative! But Tank I missed you singing & playing the keyboard. We need that for every episode! 😊
I really love that you all include EVERYONE who is involved with the R&B culture and not only the artists & music side of things. Watching interviews like this can not only help educate and inform but also inspire and motivate future generations who may want to be involved in R&B or the music world and don't necessarily have the talent or even the desire to be an artist. But, can still learn about other ways available to be involved and be successful in the music/entertainment industry. Thank you for being inclusive of all things R&B.
This was great. I am in my 40s and do not go out late nights. I love he did R&B earlier in the day. I would definitely go to an R&B event early. I like to be at home around 10pm. : )
I love this podcast , I learn something new from an artist I’ve never heard of or song , pure entertainment, hilarious and it doesn’t hurt that Tank and J Valentine are fine as HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Thank you J for speaking about how black people mess up business! They need to learn professionalism, work behavior and work ethic. Black business owners don't need to be offended, just learn how to do better! Business is Business and regardless of what area of service you're in the way you carry and handle yourself could help or harm your business.
Love hearing all of the different angles of the R&B Money game; great episode and can’t wait for Mike Gardner’s doc because I was alive for Sunday’s at the Forge and that was a ⏰💃🏽💃🏽. Also, I understand if Tank doesn’t have his piano, but if he don’t just acapella sing Top 5, I’m starting a petition!
I haven't even watched this interview, all I saw was Mike Gardner and I let out a YELP!!! I love Mike, literally a legend! The fact that mike is on a camera is Wiiiiilllddddd!!!!
This guy makes me wish I could have been around for LIV. I'm from Odells (family) and the Baltimore some DC club scene and loved it. Promoters in my family had it rough so this truly resignated with me. The humbleness this man has... He's truly appreciated blessed and so deserving of it. The respect you, Tank and J, gave him, he was overwhelmingly amazing for him. The Chesapeake Seafood Restaurant with Crab legs at the top of the menu brought back the life of real seafood PRE Red Lobster. Waldorf MD was my first restaurant seafood being from the Eastern Shore where it came from the boat or water or both.
My favorite podcast keeps getting better. So many aspects of the music business that you never think of. Life as a major promoter is one of them. Thank you for the show.
@@mdooms76Y’all don’t speak for us we wanna see Brian McKnight. Y’all wanna treat grown ass adults like kids that’s on y’all but none of us know the whole story.
I love the RnB Money Podcast and learning about today's players in that genre. To me, it's a new spin and the podcast version of the TV show Unsung. Also, I would highly suggest that you all raise the table slightly in front of your male guest so we won't have to look at their (fill in the blanks) the entire episode. 🙂
The close up camera shot before the candle showed up is hilarious. ‘This was a great episode. Met Mike a long time ago and he is a stand up guy. Funny and cool and definitely about his business. He is the friend at the party who’s chilled and watching everyone else have a good time. And, LIV used to be a cool as club. Made me think of my youth.
I am so sadden by not being able to hear the 2 best songs on any pod out!!! However, this was a great episode I went down a whole rabbit hole of researching Mike Gardner.
Listen to meeeeeeee Tank and Mr Valentine (manager!!!!!) Dont you EVER (3stacks) ever ever ever NOT HAVE YOUR KEYBOARD for the ending segments (otherwise DOPE interview)
It’s a compliment, it’s shows you are about business. Shocking huh! But it’s also a little disheartening that it’s a surprise. Find honor in the success as a BLACK BUSINESS MAN
Oh and especially T Pain watching his process in making in my opinion one the greatest R&B song currently out "On the hill". And Lenny kravitz, he said he's never invited to the culture award shows or podcasts.
Aye great episode!!! Buuuuut... Tank fam you gotta keep them keys on you man.. you started the theme songs, that's a prime part of the show lol great job though fellas✊🏾
