Thanks for watching, this year the festival will celebrate its 50th year anniversary, and was created to raise money for Hispanic college funds. At the beginning only bands from Mexico were featured and lots of people who happened to migrate to the Midwest were from Texas. By request the people wanted to see more Tejano artists and the committee developed two different organizers. One side books the band’s from Mexico and beyond and the other committee books all of the Tejano artists. I myself am involved with the Tejano industry and was invited to cover the event to promote more attendance to the festival. The festival will be taking place next week and will be featuring bands like Los Bukis and others. They also feature all types of music such as Marachi, Banda, Rock en espanol, folklorico performances, car and low rider show, Aztec Dancers and even a Sunday mass.
