Mi è sempre piaciuto come pilota e come personaggio, negli anni 90' ero agli esordi nel motocross ed era uno dei miei idoli......R.I.P. Mike "The Gunner"
I remember Mike from back in the mini days. It was Larry Brooks, Bobby Moore, Paul Denis, Bruce Bunch and there was many more from back then. But Mike was always sharp in his all white riding gear (I think it was answer riding gear) when he rode for Honda. He was fast as a bullet. May you have well groomed tracks, blue skies and good gate picks. R.I.P. GUNNER
Mike eri il mio idolo è stato un onore poterti conoscere personalmente.Eri un ragazzo semplice e non hai mai fatto la star. Anche a distanza di anni ti sei sempre ricordato e sei sempre rimasto una persona gentile.Riposa in pace
Mike was a awesome rider not only here but GP' in Europe one of the few that could handle the power of the KTM 500 RIP! It was a short list that could hold a 500 wide open! Magoo Chandler was also one of them. MIKE was the only rider in History to win all 3 classes in the Golden State Nationals Championship in a single season!
He was another MX Hero of my Youth. He’s only 2 years older than me. I’m Saddened by the news of his passing. I know the perils of addiction too. See you up there Jeff.
Apprendo solo adesso con sconforto della morte di Mike Healey, uno dei piloti che ho ammirato di più e che ho avuto la fortuna di vedere e incontrare dal vivo agli Internazionali D'Italia a Montevarchi nei primi anni '90 😢
I watched "In Awe" , as Mike SMOKED the 125 pro class ( 1986 ) at Glen Helen on a CAGIVA. He pulled the hole shot and pulled away ! They RED FLAGGED the race and re-lined up. Gunner pulled hole shot a second time , and pulled away again. His crazy Italian mechanic was nodding his head in approval , suckin on a Tar Bar , and screaming expletive's in Italian at Mike to kick there asses ! Mom was in the stands watching her Son dominate ! Wouldn't life be sooo sweet if that day could last forever. RIP Mr. Healy. Rest Easy.
Great Moments you captured here Mauro! Thin Healy was an unsung Hero of the 80's Mx Scene in Europe from the U.S. ,many Never worked as hard as he did. thanx!
Thank you for the tribute! Always a big fan of Mike and he should have been a world champ in 91, if that a$$hole Stanton hadn't stuck his nose in that last race in Japan! Rest easy Mike and may God bless you!
As an American it was such a revelation to finally see the GP riders from the states competing. Mike was immediately my favorite, stylish, fast, hard charger, and if you put him in first place he usually just rode away. Thanks for all your video posts of the past and for honoring Mike in this way. RIP Gunner!
This is the will of my father that whoever holds the son and believes in him why have eternal life and I myself will raise him up on that last day Matthew 6:33🐑4🌎
Volevo ringraziare pubblicamente Mario Valentinuzzi per tutti i video che pubblica. Mi riporta indietro ai miei anni verdi quando anche io facevo questo splendido sport . MOTOCROSS E’ PER SEMPRE!
