No O line! Grier's fault! Why did we bring OBJ in? Grier. McDaniel should be out, no time management skills, poor play calling, no leadership skills. Sad all the way around.
The colts began bringing 8 in the box on 3rd and short and McDaniel doesn’t know what to do. His only response is the bubble screen or run into the wall. He is exactly Gase.
He is FAR from being Gase. If Tua didn't get hurt you aren't even saying any of this because Tua is that damn good in this offense and you all can see how good he is in it by the QB play that we have seen since he went out.
He is a good coach and a good talent developer and was the one who picked weaver and the oline coach who have both done great jobs with the lack of talent and injuries but he is horrible at in game play calling and making adjustments that’s why I think he needs to hire a oc and let them play call and make adjustments or help manage clock cus this is bad but I do hope they fire Grier he is the real issue drafted Liam drafted dieter let hunt leave let van ginkle leave and never fixes the line and also drafted Noah igggmanogame
would you? Your "savior" is a QB that will cause you to cringe everytime he takes a hit and you certainly aren't going to be sending him out on rushing plays - you know one of the very reasons why Tua was drafted in the first place, for his "mobility", well that was before his hip injury, so good question why he was drafted in the first place. But yeah, the entire thing is a mess and I cant fault him for going, screw this .
@@The_Zilli I was a huge Tua fan at start but now it’s the total opposite, Tua sucked the life out of the game of football for me where now I’m gasping for air everytime he plays, I never felt sorry for a player like Tua .. but I’m not suppose to .. I’m suppose to have fun watching the game, not worried sick. This whole thing sucks so bad .. I agree with you 💯
Should have got Herbert, idgaf. Flores was right, we took the liberal route and didn't believe him because he was mean....well it turns out, he was 1000% right.
If you're waiting for Darrel Bevel to be your savior, you're in big trouble. As for showing emotion on the sideline, everybody has their own style. It's not like Bill Belichick was exactly animated, and he did alright.
THANK YOU! You are the first Dolphins content creator I've seen who referenced the failure to spike the ball on the last drive. On 2nd and 1 play with around 45 seconds and the clock running... that is a spike scenario 100% of the time! Any coach that gets that wrong, is NOT QUALIFIED TO COACH IN THE NFL! Your football IQ is basically ZERO!. Miami would have been 3rd and 1 with about 33 seconds left.... instead of 3rd and 2 with 11 seconds left. The game was over after that play, but not before it!
He CAN’T change it up with his emotions meaning GET UPSET or MAD because that isn’t who he is. The players would eat that shit alive. He would come across as phony. At the end of the day, he’s been figured out.
2 Fumbles by the Dolphins and the boinked on the FG and we're having a different discussion. The issue is that the Dolphins drafted Tua, Flores said he was a bust and Grier had a hissyfit and threw away Flores and brought in McDaniel to make Tua look good and to justify the "Tank for Tua" fiasco that we endured. Ross already knew that Tua was a bust started to look into both Brady and Watson because only Ross would have been able to move the needle on either of those. So McDaniel is brought in with one mission, to make Tua look good. So he designs an offense that caters to Tua's strength, his quick release. Grier brings in speed to help with that plan and it works great for a time being as teams are caught off guard to the offense and all the pre-snap motions and the speed of Hill and Waddle but the good defenses and coordinators were quick to figure it out which is why you saw them struggle against good teams and the narrative began that Tua and the team could not beat "good teams". Now you're on to your fourth QB in an offense that you speficially designed for one player, Tua, to specifically save one person's job, Grier, and you're blaming McDaniel for this? Nah man. Blame Grier. Had the two fumbles and the boinked FG not happened, you'd all be going "wow, McDaniel pulled it off with a 4th stringer..." McDaniel does have issues but this mess falls more on Grier and Tua than anything else.
and who are you going to replace McDaniel with that want sto work with a starting QB that you cant use even for a QB sneak in fear that he's going to fall onto his back, twitching himself into a fencing posture? Nevermind all his other flaws, just the fact that you cant run or you now cringe each time he takes a hit would mean that the end of McDaneil would mean the end of Tua, which would mean the end of Grier himself. So no, Grier aint firing anyone - theyll just chalk it up to Tua getting hurt and we'll go get em next season. And youll all buy it. Because you bought the bullshit for this many years, why not one more year eh?
@@qbamiami that's the 3rd and 4th string backups in an offense designed for a player that "supposedly" is coming back next week. You cant overhaul the offense and had they not fumbled the ball, you would have been puffing your chest out about how great things are now that Tua should be returning, etc etc. The cold hard fact is that the team was never good, with or without Tua. McDaniel who you are correct with, isn't ready to be a coach, was also saddled with the task of making Tua look good in order to save Grier's neck. In 5 weeks, three starting QBs do not finish the game due to injuries and you're blaming the coach? Nevermind that had the Phins not fumbled the ball away TWICE in that game they win easily. Be fair with your expectations and criticism. McDaniel, Grier and Tua all needed to go but yesterday's loss isn't on the coach. That's on the running game for fumbling it away.
McDaniel is a Beta. He can’t even manage the game… At least Weaver is an Alpha dog. Can’t blame the defense. No Discipline/ No Accountability comes from the HC. Grier must be blackmailing Ross on some level. Don’t understand why he’s still the GM
lol weaver was a macdaniel hire so was the oline coach realistically macdaniel not the issue the oline and the talent the gm drafted and put together sucks I think they should give macdaniel one more year but fire Grier asap before the draft or before he trades any one
Ive been saying this for 2 years! SOME BODY GET PISSED OFF AND SHOW SOME EMOTION AFTER THESES CRAP LOSSES!! Its always been well we will learn from this and try to be better. Why do the fans seem to care more about losing then the coaches and players. Drives me crazy
Great point on coaches demeanor. That unemotional, low energy demeanor rubs off on the team where the team doesn’t play with fight and emotion. Collinsworth said this during their home game against the Bills where he said the Bills came with more energy and fight than the Phins did. With the GM not making moves to improve the OL and coach not evolving in his play calling, the team was going to be worse than last season which showed even when Tua was healthy. So Tua coming back will be continuation of the first two games where they got blown by Bills and should have lost the first game if it wasn’t for the end zone fumble by the other team.
You all look at last year with TUA's numbers, so fucking what we had ONE bad year where we were bad against good teams, look at what he did the year before, we only beat a great Ravens team, and Buffalo we beat once and lost by a total of 4 points the other 2 games. We even beat the Lions that year.
@@shawnchristenson324 he's a gimmick QB who needs to be hand fed like a little baby. T-ball might work against the shit teams but we consistently get stomped by winning teams precisely because Tua is not a real QB.
Why are we isolating a specific 7-game set? He was top 5 in every major passing category in each of the past 2 seasons... that's a much better sample size. People still claiming Tua is the problem after what we've watched these 4 games that he's missed..... might just be the stupidest people walking the planet. Get your head checked!
Huntley played well with the Ravens. Was even an alternate for the Pro Bowl. McDaniel should be able to get a lot more out of him. Boyle should not be on an NFL roster. Maybe coaching, that’s about it.
I thought he was managing the game well until he got hurt. Just because he wasn't throwing it deep, doesn't mean the offense was ineffective. Not saying he was great, but he wasn't great with the Ravens either, really. He had one good stretch. This game was lost by McDaniel's horrendous game-management, just like the Titans game was.
I 100% disagree with everyone that wants to get rid of McDaniel. First of all when was the last time we have made the playoffs 2 years in a row, for some of you making the playoffs isn't good enough, but to each his own. Second of all the way this year has gone is NOT 100% on McDaniel, we have been missing Tua for the last 4 games I think you all forget that. This game was NOT on the coach, we missed a 54 yard FG which should not be missed when the kicker gets paid to do ONE job, he doesn't have to memorize a playbook or anything, he just kicks the damn ball and he missed it. Also we had 2 fumbles which directly lead to points, so with all that said we would win that game if it wasn't for that. To blame this shit on McDaniel is dumb af, PERIOD.
@qbamiami it's not ALL on the coach, that's why there are captains of a team. Also these players get paid a fuck ton of money and should be held accountable for their actions, or lack thereof.
Firing the coach that made tua actually look good is idiotic. Let him pick his own qb like mcvay got to before you fire the guy who had the best offense in the nfl when his players were actually healthy
Fired?! They just extended his dumb ass! LOL We’re stuck with him for this season and next at least. The PR embarrassment would be too great to fire an HC right after extending. The only way we can rid of that fraud McDaniel is if we can get rid of the even bigger fraud of Ross. The media and the fans have to turn on Ross. He must go.
@@Supremor-tj9dv Ross is one of the wealthiest owners in the league. He would just give up money. McDaniel isn’t untouchable… I’m sure the contract has outs.
Y'all are being too tough on McDaniel's. He has made the team the best I've seen since the Marino days offensively in the past 2 seasons. There are no good head coach candidates that are available out there to turn the TEAM around. It is what it is. He needs to learn from his mistakes and improve.
@@qbamiami nah. Tua is a bit above average QB in my opinion. McDaniel brought the best out of him. Tua can't extend plays. He can't improvise if a play is broken. I wanted him to excel and show us he's our franchise QB but he shuts down and panicked and made stupid mistakes over and over. As far as Vrabel? What has he done with the Titans? Do you want our team to be good enough to not be good enough the way he led the Titans? He's shown the League what he's capable of....nothing! I would rather ride with McDaniel for a few more years. He'll figure things out or he'll shit the bed. We're all pissed off with how things have been going since the start of the season. We've all got our hopes up thinking Superbowl and it sucked losing. No one's happy about it but we can't talk about losing faith and talking about firing anyone. Shit, Tyreek's been playing like a scrub the past few games, our O-line's still shit, McDaniel still making ridiculous plays, Grier can't draft so he pays up. If I don't see any improvement next season, I'm with you! But for now, this is the test. Can McDaniel turn this around and get us to a wild card? We'll see. 👊
We need to get old school coach who will get back to smash mouth football, and quite all the fancy ,gadget plays, and get rid of tua ,go all in with ,cam ward ,and ,put some beef on the offensive line ,run the ball to set up the pass ,amen 😊❤
The real test is next week. The cardinals have a slightly better defense than the Colts. If we go out there next week with Tua and bomb again, I think Mcdaniel is out. Personally, I dont wanna wait that long, I wanna go in full tank mode. blow the entire roster up, fire grier and mcdaniel and trade your assets for as many draft picks. Tank for cam ward
You can't be serious! This is BY FAR the most talent a Dolphins roster has had since the 20th century! Trust me... I've been watching them since the 70s! If this is what you're calling crap, I can't even fathom what you've called the last 20 years of rosters. Holy $hit, it never fails to blow my mind how f*cking stupid this fanbase is!
Honestly man, facts. I love McDaniel but he has too much pride with playcalling and when we are in a pinch he just looks like hes ready for the game to be done so he can tuck tail and run into the tunnel. Grier has not helped at all though with the trenches. Besides 2016, our trenches has been absolutely garbage dating back to the early 2000's. That needs to be an immediate thing to finally get taken care of.
Come on guys. No strong backup qb was acquired for a qb that is always hurt. No good players were plugged in to the offencive line, no great running back added to give an easy out to the qb and 2 were available. McDaniel as is good as you are going to find when ownership and gm are inadequate.
I will never understand how McDaniel was picked to be HC. With all the options out there, the team goes with an unproven coach during a time when they are supposed to be going "all in" for a playoff win/superbowl. This team is tanked for years if they stay the course with Tua/McDaniel.
I've been watching this team since 1970; yes 1970 and lets just say this, since 1995 when Fathead replaced the great one, this team has been a perpetual clown show with clowns coming and going; and here is the proof. The Dolphins have not come close to an AFC championship game in 33 years, and that is a disgrace! To the fellow in the video, you have wonderful points, however lets accept reality Tua is a 5th overall $240 million joke/bust (I'm not a hater just calling it the way I see it) Grier is beyond a disgraceful sycophant who lacks the vision of building a winning team. Like your point about Boyle 1 quarter better than the sum total of Huntley. It's almost like, A. J. Duhe 1982 AFC Championship performance above and beyond the sum total of Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor (both had the tendency to vanish in the playoffs). At the end of the day, Grier must go and Ross must sell.
I admit I drank the Cool Aid with McDaniel- the hardest factor to fix is coaching- Mike is good people but he is not ready yet for prime time- Grier has to go too- I want to nominate Mike Vrabel - he brings intensity to the job- we need that- how do u have two weeks to prep for 1 of the worst team in the NFL and zero targets for Tyreek nor Waddle-
Yall blame the coach but the player fumbled the ball twice and a kicker missed a very easy to make kick let’s all be honest how the hell does sanders keep making the team if he misses game wining field goals every year some one plese tell me
@@kevinmarrero5013 I think you are missing the bigger point- This game should have never been this close, and it’s just not this game- This season from the first game has struggled even with Tua- The second part of the season last yr was a train - I remember at 2 games when he was out coached
I don't really put this on the QB's since Tua's been out. This team was clearly built around Tua being in there and having to get the ball out of his hands in 0.025 seconds. Why? Because our OL is that bad. Why? Because for the last.......... eleventeen years everyone on the planet, fans, opposing teams, hell, I'm sure even our own team has known that our OL has been dismal. The only 3 people who hasn't seemed to know this over that course of time has been Ross, Grier and whoever our head coach has been. McDaniel now, but go back further. Our OL being bad isn't just a this year problem, it's been bad for a while now and we haven't done anything to fix it for years and years and years. Oh, every so often we'll draft somebody in the 2nd or 3rd round and call it good (who never seems to pan out). Until the Ross love affair with Grier is done, we're going to be mired with the same problems. We can rotate head coaches through as much as we want, but if we keep the same GM here year after year after year, we could have the best head coach in the world in here and they're not going to be able to do anything with aging talent, or great talent that's always in the "blue tent", or, or, or, or. The greatest ability is availability and we just don't have that right now.
Both can be true at the same time. Tua can read his progression, Tua can learn how to throw to someone other than the hot route in the first 2 seconds before getting lost and overwhelmed.
The problem is the talent around him has no heart. That’s not a reflection of the coach that’s a reflection of paying a player and them a large sum of money and them letting tier foot off the gas. Hindsight is 2020
We could probably break down the whole league at this point and see a position of reality that isnt there. Dolphins are what they are, Dallas, Jets, etc. We know, as fans, what is needed in almost every situation within this game.....and yet we are fed stupidity from the owners on down to the jersey and logo designers 😂😂😂
GMFB on the NFL network is not even talking about the Dolphins at all. Why they gave the Dolphins advice. And the Dolphins shrugged them off.. Now the pros are laughing 😃 at the Dolphins organization. Oh look how good Russell Wilson was last night. And only costed 1 million by Pittsburgh in the off season. The Dolphins could have interviewed but him. But passed him over. I would have traded for Russell Wilson.
Tough analysis. I strongly disagree,. Grier gave McDaniels a JV offensive line. Pount 1 Grier as been allowed to pick to many coaches with no repercussions. Grier has proven he is a below average gm that can't draft. Grier has also been a part of the organization for nearly 30 years. Never won a playoff game. Grier needs to be fired, Ross needs to then hire someone to handle football operations and let that guy decide on coach. Meantime, we will finish 10-7 and los3 im the wildcard round. That much o agree with
You are right that a fact Mike will be fired ASAP 😡🔥🤔💬 Chris Grier also will be fired as well I told you all the dolphins are cursed until they bring Brian Flores back
McDaniel is incompetent. If the running game is working keep playing it until it is stopped. If the passing game is working. Play it until it is stopped.
And the sad thing is, we had Dan as our head coach after Sparano was fired....Ross doesn't care now either....hes already sold 15% of the team a few weeks ago, and he might sell the rest after this disastourous season. McDaniel i agree he's just a HC....it's plain
You are too docile. McDaniel needs to be fired. My God. The late Shula never showed emotion. But if he crossed his arms you were in trouble. Shula also 2 different types of offense. Run heavy 70's Football. And Pass happy Football in the 80's. He let the QB make the decision what type of Football they were going to play.
QBA , there is no way Tua will play this year and possibly never again. In the last 5 games this Dolphin O-Line has allowed 2 back up QBs to get knocked out of the game. Do you really think Tua wants to play behind that O line? Tua has zero ability to keep himself from getting injured let alone playing behind this O Line.
Let me also say, WE SAW TUA PLAY GREAT LAST SEASON, but with a new coach, system and possibly total offense is not healthy for this guys development or career. Im fine moving on based on his health, but we could see another 30 years of horrible qb picks and play 😂
Tua plays like crap with weapons against good teams, period. The offense has played like crap since the end of last year. What are some people looking at. Tua is not blameless
TUA is going to come back and they will be good hopefully enough for trading some Linemen cause I’ve seen us go from 4-0 to an 8-8 year we are starting terribly BUT we have to much Talent to be this terrible on offense at some point TUA must start calling audibles and trusting himself to be a Manning\Brady Leader cause this offense needs a spark Defense has its Leaders in Ramsey/Campbell again it’s all part of the Script 🙏🙏🥴😂🐬🔥🔥
Steven Ross is a clown for taking the bait on sorry ass players. Arizona is going to kick our ass on Sunday. My little brother can coach the team better. It's over can't wait for cam ward
They need to clean house in Miami starting with Chris Grier, Mike McDaniel all the way down to Tua! Sorry fin fans just being a realist these guys have no heart!
I don't care who the QB is, McDaniel can't get Waddle and Hill the ball? It's embarrassing. McDaniel is inept and looks lifeless. The team is unprepared.
I respect the opinion and this was an interesting analysis, but this system is made for Tua, now this doesn't excuse Mike for not having a backup plan, but I think we need to wait and see where this team goes the rest of the season before firing the coach, there's a reason why he was such a praised OC in San Francisco, there's a reason why we hired him, and there's a reason we extended him, while these games have looked pretty rough, we need to observe how he coaches when he has what he needs (a quarterback) before even considering firing him. I don't think the 2 minute drill was that bad (considering Boyle was only recently elevated back off the practice squad), we were able to drive up the field very well with a 3rd string. Furthermore, whenever there is a loss we seem to automatically jump to blame the coaching (in previous games this was the problem) but in this game and the patriots game it was not, we had two fumbles, missed field goal, and lost our quarterback barely into the second half costing us vital points a lot of which is a variable a coach can not control (the ingold run was a bad call, but its ingold's fault for fumbling not Mike's, just as it is Mostert's fault for fumbling), the reason I can think of that we didn't use Wright is because we were running the ball quite well with Achane and Mostert, but still he should've been involved a lil more. The main point I see from a poor coaching perspective is not throwing to our receivers more (which I agree, especially since I started Tyreek in fantasy), however if you watch the game there were moments where our guys just weren't open and Tyreek missed a touchdown pass, becoming a run first team was the right move, however fumbling on 2 of those runs is what cost us the game. Overall, I think looking into the small details and coaching nuances is the wrong perspective as to why we lost this game, rather we need to look at the series of extremely unfortunate events that caused this loss in the first place. In my eyes if this was really a coaching problem, why were we leading in 1st half (when the Colts started with the ball and before everything went wrong)? I respect and understand I lot of the people doubting but personally I still have faith in the coaching and this team. #GOPHINS.
It was only a matter of time until the rest of the league caught up with his gimmicky offense that worked for a little bit. Dude couldn't coach a locker room if his life depended on it, he's soft. Pretty sure things wouldn't be too much different even with Tua in there.
It's a a combination of both of them. Mike doesn't know how to make adjustments and he doesn't hold the team accountable and let's the players run the team. Tua has limitations that keep him from beating the better teams that know how to take away what he does best. They have a symbiotic relationship where they need each other. So to say Mike hasn't done anything to help Tua is asinine he built this offense to run specifically for him off of the things he does best and that's why the other qbs can't even look competent on top of them not being quality starting backups. If anything Tyreek he is the engine and it looks like he has checked out this yr. But i agree McDaniel needs to go, Grier needs to go and they need to find a more durable qb that can make it through a season. But this team has wayyyyy bigger problems than qb, it's built all wrong. And they prioritized the wrong positions. And they hats why Grier needs to go too
