There are some, like us, who like it and others that appreciate its mere profitability--like talentless, second-rate Nazi-style freaks procuring our goods and scuzzily and illegally using each as their own. Thankfully, we do as God allows, NOT as smelly government-doped trash likes, wants, says, or does. TM
Veramente !!!! , e con Pepsi💞 è eccezionale .... non smetteresti mai di ascoltarla, soprattutto di notte.....nel silenzio è ancora più emozionante !!!!
Musicians: Adrian Thomas (Keyboards) Pepsi Damacque (vocals) Claire Nicholson (keyboards and guitars) Carrie Melbourne (bass) Fergus Garrand (drums and percussion).
The funny thing is I lived in a small village with my parents and older brother. The first time I was allowed to go and play with other kids in the city (2 miles from our village) was when I was 13 years old! The thing I used to convince my mother to let me go was the CD of Mike Oldfield with this song! My friend was about to give it to me on the city's playground where they were playing football. My mom said yes, and after that, everything changed! I started to go there almost every day (during the summer); I soon made new friends (they all lived in the city) and 7-8 of us became best friends! Our gatherings at the city's fountain, playing catch, football, and basketball, and going out for pizza - I still remember those days. The best days of my life! Everything started with one CD! With this amazing song!
Saw a much older maggie Reilly ( original vocals) sing this live on you tube and her vocals are still great after 40 years but this lady covers this song beautifully.. lovely vocals
I have to say, this is so far, my favorite female vocalist attempting Moonlight Shadow" after Maggie Reilly's. She didn't feel she had to do anything strange with it. The song is already beautiful and rich enough to try to adorn it unnecessairly. I really like this sober version, more faithful to the original.
This is when music makes me fell tears. So incredibly beautiful with Pepsi´s voice and the world´s greatest musician ever just letting the notes flow from his guitar. There is a God.
Pepsi sings this song better than any other. Beautiful lady with a beautiful voice. Beautifully accompanied by superb female organist/guitarist/vocalist. Mike Oldfield's composition and guitar work of course doesn't need comment... he's up there with the best.
Not sure mate, the lady's certainly a fine singer, not worth the hassle debating it but my take will never change regarding the apples and oranges bullshit, the song when released back in the early 80's is the song, end of it, incidentally this lady wasn't on it, Maggie Reilly was and her voice or contribution is most certainly not up for debate, this is the equivalent of modern day skynrd, they can play but they are a tribute.
Mike has a special way of giving the audience some of the best music a guitar can produce..... without putting him self to much in center of everything
That guitar tone is just exquisite, and Mike is so gifted player, he really makes that guitar sing. And he seems to be playing entirely with his fingers, no pick. Plus, I got a bit carried away by Pepsi
I find I get far better tone using nails than an pick on electric too but am used to it as play classical too. It’s a bit harder on steel acoustic unless your nails are super tough but string tension not too bad on a lekky.
One of the most beautiful songs ever, I grew up with it! Beautiful version with amazing solos especially the one beginning at 3:37 which is not present in the standard version with Maggie Reilly. Maggie's voice was stunning-perfect and warm but this is a wonderful interpretation as well, different but really really nice! Great emotions!!!
Just perfection! A great song performed by brilliant musicians and a beautiful unassuming singer with a really really pleasant voice that was made for this song. I listen to this almost every day.
Pepsi does a wonderful job singing. And I like her natural moves too. She's lovely. And the blond girl doing the exquisite background vocals is also a treat!
I remember 1983 this song was my fav. this version the vocalist is much better than the original ps greetings from the Dutch! I love all of you! gOD BLESS!
i can listen to this version a zillion times and still enjoy the voice of Pepsi and the backing musicians and backing vocals and well Mike on guitar is mind blowing.
I haven't seen all performances of this track, but this video would be hard to beat. It had me watching over and over. It is not just the soloist's fantastic rendition, but the headset mike allows her to be very expressive which she exploits fully, and the cutting is rather effective in adding to the dynamism of the performance.
I was in my teens, when this song/ music was produced. At age 69, I still enjoy it tremendously. Those were the days of good music. I had the album/LP Record of Jethro Tull called Aqaulung. Sitting on a park bench, snot is running down his nose---.
Esta cancion deberia estar entre las mejores d la historia. Desde luego fue la mejor cancion de los años 80. Es una gran obra de arte. Y los "criticos musicales" no se acuerdan de ella. Siempre nos venden las mismas canciones de esa epoca. 🌺
Mike as such is one of the finest guitarists and songwriters there is but he really knows where to find exceptional talent to back him up. Pepsi is an amazing singer with such stage presence but I am also very impressed with the keyboard player who also plays rhythm guitar and performs backing vocals. That's some incredible multitasking live on her part.
Mike is a genius, simple as. I live just outside Kington in Herefordshire where he had his studio in a cottage up near Hergest Ridge (hence the album name) during his “reclusive” period. He got a lot of his inspiration while walking the hills around here. And Pepsi…! Who would’ve thought all those years ago, when she was half of the “Pepsi & Shirlie” pop duo that provided backing vocals for “Wham!,” that we would see her providing vocals for Mike Oldfield. He obviously sensed her true singing talent, gave her the chance to fulfil her potential, and she delivered! She should have stepped out of the shadows sooner.
