Biographical series on Mike Patton | Part One, Episode One - In The Beginning | A look back at the early years of Mike Patton's career through various audio/video interview clips, live footage and photos. This video is the first (introductory) installment of a biographical series on Mike Patton, his views on life, and his related projects/bands.
*** SERIES UPDATE (March 26 2020): Just wanted to let anyone who might be interested know that I'm currently working on the second video. The following videos are gonna be a bit more in depth, this first one was kinda just like an intro to the series. I'm trying to do an accurate and thorough job on these, best I'm able to anyway. I cant even tell you how many hours (days) it takes just to sift through all the old interviews to find the right clips and shit... but it's a lot, lol. Then there's still the matter of editing the thing together. Just wanted to make a note for those who have been inquiring about the series that it's not being neglected. Thanks for reading this, and thanks for watching! ***
Since there's way to much to cover in a video short enough to sit through, it will come in several parts as time allows. This first one is sorta like a test pilot if you will, the rest will be more in depth on each of Patton's different projects and such, and more linear in delivery.

My dad worked at The Works with Mike.....he talks about how Mike was in charge of ordering records, and how he would get all these obscure musicians from around the world. My one encounter with MP was when I was eleven. I had birthday money and was all geared up to buy my own cassette. So I wandered down to The Works, grabbed Slippery When Wet (Bon Jovi) and handed it to Mike at the register. All I really remember is the look of shear disappointment he gave me, and him shaking his head as he rang me up.

@@Malocchio That makes sense being the team from the area. I remember seeing Faith No More in 2015. Watching the crew set up I saw one guy that looked like Dan Boyle. I thought nah why would an NHL player be working as a roadie, only to find out after the fact it was Dan Boyle. Faith No More is his favorite band and he always wanted to do something like that. I also remember a Flyers vs Sharks game in February 2012, Puffy was sitting in one of the seats right behind one of the nets. I was thinking that really looks like Puffy, only to find out later I was right.

Absolutely. I've always been amazed on how he handled himself when fame hit. I can't imagine being famous at that age. What I would have done and said. No drugs, no groupies, no trashed hotel rooms. He just kept making music. He kept experimenting. He was brave enough to venture out of Faith no more. Unreal

Mike patton does believe in God..
@nowimhigh
@nowimhigh 3 года назад
Yeah because he believes in himself. He would of never of reached the level of success that he has attained if he didn't. He never feared to be different and created some great music in the process. If he never believed in himself he would of never of gotten the balls to grab the Mike(no pun attended, yeah I know it's spelled mic) to go on stage. Where he developed quite the talent to become the legend that he is to this day. He claims it was just an accident and was never a goal of his to become a singer. It was his destiny and he fulfilled it. He never resorted to becoming enveloped in drug addiction. He was in full control of his will, never settled upon shitty excuses. He faced every obstacle and in turn is a legend in his own right. How many other vocalist have achieved what this man has? He's a versatile musical genius. It's become a cliché to even say this about the man. But it's true, music called him. It was ingrained in him and he became its conduit. Yeah he believes in himself, he oozes self confidence. It just comes natural to him, some ppl are just gifted. Glad he gained the courage to get up on stage and sing his ass off. If he didn't believe in himself, he wouldn't of even tried to entertain the thought of being a front man. So yes in this regard he does believe in God.

I would be curious to hear what are the opinion of Mr Patton in regards to this "scamdemic" that is destroying the world right now (with the submissive consent of most people unfortunately) It would be too depressing for me at this point if Patton was also one of these "artists" out there that side with the government a bit too often, and side with the ones that offer them the paycheck... We are running out of heroes to get inspired by
