I was just about to comment the same thing. Like obviously the crew would have gotten chocolate after filming, but Mike made them part of the experience as well. He even hand fed it to em!
Adam and Dustin are amazing. It's great when 2 crafty people build a whole business from discarded equipment and re-fit it all themselves. Truly from the ground up.
I love that mike feeding the camerapeople is a thing now. Dont stop, i love seeing the reactions of the rest of the crew. I love shows that dont try to hide what they are, a production with a crew.
Mike, I've been watching you for longer than is polite to say. Your videos/episodes, just like you & the people you profile, are one of a kind that just get better with age. Mike Rowe, PERFECTLY tempered, craft television, worth $6000.00 a bar. I would add that you are the best at what YOU do, by a long shot.
Immediately did a search for their chocolate bars. So many varieties to choose from! Hard to believe they do all that in this one little shop. I am definitely hyped up to try some. Great episode. The sing-along was icing on the cake ... or chocolate bar.
I went to a Bagel spot, to find a lumber yard, where 2 Carpenters make Chocolate. (I'm already exhausted) All this needs is a Rabbi, a Priest, and a Whore, and there's a great joke in there somewhere! FFS music & singing too! I loved that you gave out bit of chocolate, like a Priest gives out the Holy sacraments.
Ahhhhhhh, chocolate! I wish I was in that kitchen, learning about the process. Thanks Mike and crew and of course, the chocolatiers who bring deliciousness to the masses!
I don’t know if it was just me but it took me a minute to realize what the title on the thumbnail was saying. I first read it as “The fine of scotch chocolate” Nope not it, then “The scotch fine of…..”. Then I saw it “ The Fine Scotch of Chocolate”
Nice mouth feel is important !! Lol lucky enough to have had these as I’m local ish Thank you for showcasing the great craftsmen and women of the North Coast .. I am lucky enough to have enjoyed the Goat cheese from that episode too . We truly are blessed to have amazingly talented people up here glad you came to visit 💚
...and thanks to randomly being recommended this video, I just spent sixty dollars on chocolate. Hopefully, it's as good as it looks and sounds in the video.
Another awesome ep Mike!! Dustin, Adam....awesome dudes that show thinking outside the box really can change youe life! I myself am not keen on the rich, brown stuff....yeah I know, there's something wrong with me....but I am definitely going to look them up so I can suprise my fiance with some....and spread the word around Down Under! Nice work. Peace and Love from Australia
Volvo 122S. My mother had one. That car saved my life when I was driving it too fast, went off the road and bounced off a tree back onto the road. Otherwise it was tumbling down a steep hill. Drove it away.
If anyone else did an episode like this, I wouldn’t watch it. Mike makes things so interesting and funny. He’s one of a kind, a national hero! And he’s from the City (I was born and lived there, by the Zoo). Mike, do a video on the history of or good things in the City, please!
This is the area I live. Our family loves Dick Taylors chocolates! They are fantastic and worth looking for! Anywhere you can get it, buy some! And come visit our area! It is stunning. Mountains, huge trees, and ocean. Whatever else could a human want?
Honestly one of my top 5 shows I have ever watched. Tho the title has changed, the love of the idea is still there and Mike I really appreciate your dedication to this. To the crew, nothing is lost on what all you do as well and I appreciate you all as well.
There's more genuine journalism in this 15 minute video, than the sum total everything Fox has produced in the last week. In a just world, you'd have a full time show watched by hundreds of millions of people and 4 spin-offs. Never compromise yourselves, and I'll never unsubscribe!!!
I would buy it. I finally noticed Mikes unique T-shirt. Hey Mike what's with the Mackinac Island Fire Dept T-shirt? I used to live up near there. Thanks.
Just so everyone knows, they are no longer doing this in a lumber mill, but have their very own factory! It is in the neighboring town to Arcata called Eureka! It is a beautiful historic building and is equipped with a retail store and cafe!!!! So amazing!!!!
Hey mr mike. I just wanted to say thank you. Im a tradesman, i think youre a big part of why we tradies are getting more respect and people are starting to step away from the "construction people are dumb" mentality. Plumbing & HVAC, if youre wondering.
As I’ve gotten older and lost my sweet tooth, I actually enjoy the idea of paying 8$ for a quality hand made bar, given how sparingly I enjoy a sweet treat. I may have to give these guys my patronage.
How much cannabis was in that coffee, and how much is in these chocolate bars? Even if you say zero it's not true, the stuff permeates the air in that part of the country, it seeps into everything, even if it's a tiny amount.
What a fantastic episode! These two guys are just amazing. I've just ordered a bunch of chocolate from them!😊 I am *soooo* happy that Mike is back! I've loved everything that he's ever done on TV. I'm now is the process of watching every single video on his YT channel!
Honestly, it's the little things I love about Mike. Just the way he creeps behind the camera to place a piece of chocolate into the crew's mouths. Speaks volumes imo.
I like your style, Mike ! Your crew deserves chocolate just as much as you do ! This was a great example that you can change your direction, but you have to work for it.
Having worked in pastry for many years, I'm very curious as to what region the beans were from and what the final percentage was. Just by color I would guess 50 to 60%
Took week vacation in Arcata to visit a friend in college. One of the prettiest towns I've ever seen. The beaches are a short drive away and they didn't allow any chain businesses in the town. It was such an amazing place to hang out. Jealous of Mike getting paid to film there.
Hey Mikey! I liked it! I liked it a lot.. Another awesome episode, done in deliciously good taste and taste good, too. Kudos to your crew and you, too. Cheers, Mate.
Fun informative episode. I taught myself to not chew craft made chocolates. Instead, I let the chocolate slowly melt in my mouth. More craft chocolatiers should re-educate/ encourage this technique of enjoying specialty created chocolates.
