Oh boy. What a mismatched game. It's kind of sad that it happened because LJJ is a good player but it was wrong for her to be matched up with a far superior opponent. On a different note, what a huge difference between the way that Efren Bata and Mike Sigel play. Efren's play is very elegant and Mike seems like he's playing with a tree trunk.

The commentators keep saying he's not talking to anyone... sure looked to me like he was talking primarily to Jim Rempe. And honestly, from what I see, "The Mouth" is much more accurately descriptive of Mike than "Captain Hook". He's constantly rubbing his good shots and/or bad shots in Loree Jon Jones' face. He's happy when he's making good shots and whining when he's playing bad. Poor sportsmanship, if you ask me. Imagine if you had to play someone like that every day. It would wear you down. How could you enjoy the game playing against someone who constantly whined every time you left him bad or when he left himself bad and rubs it in your face every time he makes a good shot? He's a great player! One of the greatest! But maybe he won a lot of his matches by destroying his opponent's morale with his constant banter. Just shut up and play already. Show your opponent some respect.

You could see Sigel on the third break how he put right spin on the ball. That caused the scratch. Tough having that happen more than once on the break

From watching this i have to say current players are way better than the old guys. They were so impessed by the way Sigel was playing. Shane Van Boening runs rack after rack of eight ball as does most players. His chatter is irritating.

Some people say Mike is the best I have to disagree but it doesn't matter if he is I never could really stand to watch him play. He's to much of a show boater. Commentators said it right He keeps talking and bouncing around for air time. He thinks he's a movie star or something

This commentary is all screwed up. In 2016 to be claiming that to break from the end rail is the proper way to break is just BS. It's the 21st century and they haven't been breaking that way for over 40 years. Mike has played more recently than that. For commentary in 2016 this is really bad. Been listening to commentary since 1980 and this is just such crap that they're telling people here. This was posted in 2016 but it's not clear when this game was played. It is very unfortunate that the people that post these games do not post the date and year The match was played. In 2015 Efren Reyes beat Mike Sigel I'm the king of the Hill event and won $200,000. The two events must have been played in close proximity because in both cases Mike was claimed to have been coming out of retirement after 10 years. So the circumstances must have been close proximity. I have to go look up the date of the game, but there wasn't even more lucrative 8Ball game. Efren Reyes beat Rodney Morris to the tune of half a million. I think that was the same year but I'm not sure.
